Chapter24.

"What! Are you mad?. Fredrick ebbed and furiously departed, he thought doing so would be of an impact, neither did he know that the following morning wasn't going to be a jolly LLB ride. (The next morning) Fredrick opened his eyes to find himself arms linked to a familiar face, in the middle of nowhere, adorned in blood. "Father?" He throbbed in fear The circumstance got out of hand, when the news of what had happened, got to the news channels, they came with their glinting camera. Rina scrambled to the scene and screamed out, "oh my goodness what have you done?". "What do you mean, I did nothing? Fredrick tries to clarify but falls back the second Rina walks in. "What do you think! I cannot believe it,  how could you be so heartless, to the point you killed your very own Father". She shouted and made everyone believe, he killed his father. Frederick looked back and saw father lying helpless on the ground,  he tries to recollect what transpired but was dripped away by the authorities, who handcuffed and dragged him to jail. (An hour later) Rina paid him a visit at the cell,  Frederick smiled at her as she got closer to his cell. "Oh wow! What a plan, I cannot believe you got me framed for the death of my father, Indeed karma is a bitch". He says. "Aww! Don't hate the player sweetie, hate the game" Rina's smile's devilish. "What do you want?, Aren't you satisfied or do you want to kill me as well, and pin the death on my brother". Frederick unknowingly gave her an idea. "My love, of cause not, but I believe my revenge plan isn't done yet, Ricardo is dead, you're locked up in jail, the next on my list is going to be an easy murder, bye for now, my love". she  winked and walked away) Meanwhile, Chris woke up with a terrifying demeanor, "are you okay?" I asked and he said we needed to leave. He picked up his shirt and saw the cloth I tied around his abdomen. "Did you do this?" He asked. "Yes, I did, you were bleeding so much and I had no other option but to tear a piece of my clothing to stop the bleeding". I replied. "Thank you so much, Sophia". He lets out and we both walk downstairs. The old lady saw us coming and decided to greet us, "good morning, I can see your boyfriend has finally regained consciousness" she says. I turned and levied on she mistook Chris to be my boyfriend, hence when I tried to clarify her, we got shocking news on the radio. Chris and I shared a look after confronting the news that their father was dead and Fredrick had been arrested for his death. something isn't just right, I knew he was whole baggage but a murderer isn't him. we left after thanking the old lady for her hospitality and took a taxi that brought us straight to the police station. Fredrick looks up and saw it coming. "Oh my, brother? Sophia how did you find him, what about Rina, does she know you're here?". He looked at the entrance. " Look there is time to discuss such but the question is, how on earth did you get arrested for the death of  father?" I asked him. He lowered his head and asked if I didn't know who was behind this. Of cause, it had Rina's name written all over. Somehow she got Frederick mixed up with all this after he refused to kill his father when she asked him to. I squeezed my hands. Indeed Rina has gotten out of place, and now it's time to reel her back to where she belongs, that is, behind bars. "Excuse me," I said and stormed out, Chris ran after me, " hold on, where do you think you're going to?".  he pulled me back. I couldn't contain my anger and so I shouted at him. "Where do you think, because I cannot seat and watch her destroy the rest of us, it's time we finally put an end to her mind games. I got out my hands to stop a taxi. Chris grabbed them back. "Chris, let me go, right now?". I said "Hold on firefighter and before you go acting like a heroine, I'll be coming with you, I cannot possibly leave you with the devil herself, right?". He volunteered. I refused to, however, when he became so adamant, I asked him to get into the car. whatever happens, will be between Rina and me, the showdown begins now. (My husband's mistress final ###Chapter) ( STILL ON THE STORY) "Fine but please don't think of doing anything stupid and let me handle Rina",  I explained cleaning up the dust from my legs, Chris promised to do as instructed and closed the cab door. A few minutes later, it stopped at the mansion,  I met Rina's goons outside, they dragged me in, right after Chris hid from them with a camera. We both made a plan to get Rina's confession on tape. The queen herself sat down and saw with my hands behind my back. "Hello, Sophia". She says and looked at the front door, "hmm! Chris isn't here Rina,". my voice reeled her back to me. She smiled and gently rubbed her chin, "really, Chris isn't with you?". I know Rina was trying to get under my skin. "Why do you care and besides, let's talk and settle this once and for all" I aided her attention, which got her interested " Oh my love, we both know you're nothing to me, I only need Chris and maybe I might be able to add you to my list of people to kill". She grabbed me close. " so!! Tell me Sophia, where is Chris, and I promise not to kill you".  She added. "I don't know Rina, and please do kill me, because I might end up doing so" I fought back. Rina gets irritated by my words and angrily pushed me away, "now tell me for the last time, where is Chris?" she sponged back her initial question to me. I looked up and found hidden behind on the stairs, he held the camera, and now it was time to beat her at her own game. . I looked up and said. "Aww, Is that tears I see in your eyes?." Sarcasm. she flares up angrily, "don't you dare, play such game's with me, miss so perfect, you have no idea, what I've been through". Rina drops the exact attitude I wanted her to and by doing that, I can finally twist the truth out. "What exactly have you been through, if there's anyone who has, it should be me". (Continues talking) "Firstly, you stole my husband, destroyed my marriage, got me divorced, tried to kill me, kidnapped Chris, killed my father, and somehow got Fredrick mixed up with his death, now you tell me, who's been through a lot?". She laughed and said, " hmm! Yes, I did a lot of despicable things but can you blame me, your father-in-law,  destroyed my life and Sophia, you don't expect me to keep calm and watch his family, live happily ever after, I had to do everything possible to destroy your lives as well, and don't make me recall the time you got me drugged at Fredrick's birthday," It seems she knew that. "So you accept the fact that you killed father, destroyed his family, pinned his death on Fredrick, and attempted to kill Chris and me ". I looked at Chris. " Yes!! I did do that and I will do it over again if another chance is given" She admitted, unknowingly facing the camera. "well, thank you, Rina, for finally revealing the truth". I got up from the ground. "How do you mean?" She asked and we heard the siren of the police van approaching. "You called the police on me!  Nice going Sophia and trust me, you will be paying for this, trust me". . She pushed me out of her way and ran. Inspector Jude rushed in late, I showed him the exact place Rina ran to and he goes in search of her. Chris steps out of his hiding place. I turned and we both hugged each other. He thanked me for getting Rina out of our lives. "Thank you so much, Sophia, the entire Rick family is indebted to you", Chris kissed my cheeks. inspector Jude returned home and met Chris and me, "good day inspector Jude, has Rina been arrested". I asked when my eyes wandered away and it sees Frederick walking in. Chris rushed and hugged him. Although seeing Fredrick was a sign of relief, I had to know about Rina Unfortunately, he got a call and left in a hurry. I turned to head over to my room, Frederick ran ahead and stops me. "Can we talk?" He says and moved further to the garden. I had nothing to say to him, however, Chris begged me to go. We got in and I said. "What do want?" Frederick falls on his knees and begged me for forgiveness. "I am sorry Sophia! For everything and please forgive me for hurting you so much". He says. "Should I forgive you?". I pulled him away from touching me. He got so emotional and began to cry. I figured there was no need to dwell on past mistakes because we can never go back in time to fix them I accepted his apology and just when I tried to leave, he grabbed my hand. "Let me go, Fredrick" I ordered "Please hold on Sophia". He kept a strong grip on me. "No! Why should I, aren't you done talking?" I forcefully dragged his hands away. He rose and gets defensive. " Why are you doing this?" I said turning a blind eye to his behavior. "Sophia, I lost everything and everyone else I've ever loved has left me, Yes, it's my fault for being so stupid and for allowing Rina, to kill the lovely relationship we shared".  Fredrick says. Oh, now it's a lovely relationship. I slapped his hands away and he shouted, he wanted me back. I froze immediately. "Seriously!! You want the same person, you tossed away and got involved with another woman, have you gone insane?". I answered back. He walks close, "yes!! I have gone mad, I lost everything, I can't possibly lose you too, you're my wife". He yelled back. I got angry and raised my hand at him. How dare he call me his wife, after all the humiliation I got because of him. I attempted to leave him hanging, however, he stops me again and said," are you doing this because of my brother?". "Excuse me?" I confronted him. "what do you mean Sophia! Don't you know what's going on?". He added I had no clue what was he saying, just then Chris walks in and stood behind my back, "I love you, Sophia! I mean I'm in love with you". He said. I turned around and saw him holding a ring, I got so emotional when I saw a young lady walking in with her luggage. "Chris?" She calls him. "Yulan?". Chris froze seeing her. Fredrick moved and nudged me close. "Who are you?" Fredrick asks her. She pinned a smile and said, "my name is Yulan Lowell, and I am Chris's girlfriend. The Chapter ends as we all donned a startled glare at each other.
