Chapter19.

A month later (morning) I stretched up from bed and beside me a found a dead rat. I jumped off in shock and I need no soothsayer to tell me, that Rina was responsible, for such an expensive joke. I rushed out of my room outraged by her, I stormed into the living room and found everyone busy at home. "Good morning beautiful" Rina says. I met face to face, "how dare you! You psychotic bitch". I tossed a glass plate to her, but Fedrick got hit the moment he decides to walk between. He screws out in pain turning a furious glare at me. "Are you crazy!! Tying to get yourself killed?". I said and saw how fatuous he was, taking a hit for Rina, who knows what he is willing to do, just for her". " You're lucky, I'm on my best behavior, if not, I would have taught you a lesson". He says It felt like the man standing in front of me wasn't Fredrick but he look alike. The same day, it drew towards evening, the decorations and everything for a party I had no idea began. The guests walked in and Rina was greeted like the queen of the Nile. I watched at said and she walks with Fredrick next to her. Rina did everything possible to spite me but  I was more concerned about Chris, since I haven't gotten in contact with him, for a while now, and before you say anything, No! I am not falling in love with him, I'm only concerned. (Rina strolled over to meet me) "Aww! Are you sad that you didn't get a chance to showcase your beautiful dress?" She says to instigate me. "What the hell do you mean, I am not like you Rina, psychotic bitch" I nudged her aside, she turns around and grabbed my wrist. (Continues talking) "Let go of me Rina, or else, I will punch your whole teeth off, for the tooth fairy to feast on". I got aggressive. (She proceeds with her taunt) "Oh my Sophia, what's going on, why are you so angry!! Perhaps, you're missing a particular someone" She winked at me. I pushed her hands away, when suddenly Rosie, dropped to the floor, we both turned and found her lifeless. "Mother!" Rina ran to her aid Father shoots me an odd look, I have no idea what just happened. "Mom!! Are you okay". She grabbed her head and placed it on her lap. Fredrick Informs he was going to call the doctor. "Let me call the doctor" He ran holding his phone. A few minutes later, he walks in with him. We brought him to Rosie's bedroom and he checked her. "What's happening doctor," Fedrick asked "I'm sorry to tell you this, but she's dead". He says publicly. How the hell did this happen?. Rina tossed like a maniac and stormed out of the room, just to see the whole guests had already left. "Baby, calm down". Fredrick went after her. She gets furious and slapped him, and if that wasn't enough drama, the authorities came home. "What's going on, can I help you?" Fredrick says feddling to hear a response. Father and I, took heed of what was going on and rushed down together. "Good day! My name is inspector Jude, and to answer your question, someone came to the police station and filed a complaint". He tells. "What do you mean, who came to complain and why?". He takes a look at me. I was just about to give him a befitting reply when another spoke up. "I did!!" Rina opens up to the family, her clothes drained with blood and her hair was all messed up. We all shared the same look on, Fredrick walked up to her and said, "what's going on, What is this". she pushed him away, and crawled her way to where the inspector was,  "please save me, this family are monsters, someone amongst them killed mom, and now, they want me died too," she begged. "Rinaaaaa". Father couldn't take any more of her lies, and so he shouted furiously, which prompted the inspector to believe that she was being mistreated, in reality, we were the ones. "What? I cannot take it anymore". She cried out and truly if an award ceremony was held for the best actress, Rina would most definitely win, she's such a devilish lying bitch. The inspector ransacked our rooms, while his men kept a watch on us, my eyes linked to Rina, who stylishly blows me a kiss, hence a minute later, inspector Jude, comes out to meet us. "I am certain, you didn't find anything, inspector?" Father uttered with an assured tone but couldn't help to notice some odd materials In his hand. " Mr. Ricardo, you're under arrest, for the murder of Mrs. Rosie and the maltreatment of her daughter". Said the inspector. And right there, was her initial plan,  it wasn't to kill father, it was to get him in trouble with the authorities by putting a murder case on him, I should have known that after Rina knew that  I heard her conversation, she would be two steps ahead of me. "I am sorry sir, I think there's a misunderstanding here, my father isn't a murderer". Fredrick stood up for his father, striving to affirm his innocence but the inspector thought otherwise. "I am sorry sir, I don't make the law, I'm only a follower", he answered and asked his bed to handcuff father. "Rinaaaaa" Fedrick yells out her name in anger, to me, I figured it was high time, he saw Rina's true color and how devilish she is, we didn't have to expose her, the she-devil did that herself. "Don't you call my name,". She looked at him. "Why Rina, what has my father done to deserve all this, if this is because of the property papers, I told you, that I will handle it" in a calm tone, he says. "Hahahaha" Like a psychotic maniac, she laughed. "Is that supposed to make you laugh". He frowns at her. "Rina, be serious", he forcefully dragged her close and begged her to let father go Also promised to get the property papers signed under the name. "Do you think, that's all I came here for? no honey, now let me tell you a story, have a sit". She sat him down on a chair. "Once upon a time!!" She says. Rina confessed the exact words father did to me and Fedrick donned the startled look I wore, the moment I found out everything that had happened. (Inaudible conversation) An hour "Now do you understand?" Rina waits to see his reaction. A startled Fedrick held his hand on his chest and said, "oh my goodness". I bet he couldn't believe his ears, and trust me when I found out, it was unbelievable to me as well. He falls a sad look at me, as the ###Chapter ends.
