Chapter22.

After Rina paid her visit, I came and father looked so scared. "Sophia, I think Chris is in trouble," he says which gave me the notoriety that Rina must have also paid him a, Fredrick walks out. "Good day father," he says to him. "What are you doing here, aren't you satisfied with everything going on?". Father says in a displeased tone. Fredrick tries to fight back with his words but withdrew the second I stopped him. He angrily left. father however turned to give me an earful. "Why did you bring him here?". He shouted. "My  apologies father but I believe we shouldn't only blame Fredrick for this, you're equally responsible for whatever that's going on?." I answered back irritated. "Leave from here" He turned his back at him. I  walked out to meet Fredrick seated outside the station. He turns to me, "let me guess, father sent you away right?. I moved further, reseeding back with my words, " what is it to you and I don't understand you anymore". (I said. "What do you mean?" Fredrick gets up from the boulder he was seated on. "Fredrick, I am yet to understand, why you're so scared of Rina, minus the fact Chris might be in danger, but I feel there's more to it than meets the eyes, tell the truth, what's going, and for someone who found out that his supposed love, wasn't pregnant, you're kind of calm". I let go of a deep breath. He grinned and asked if I remembered what happened the other day in my bedroom. I shook my head and he explained that he had a fight with Rina and angrily left the house. He had a lot to drink and on his way back home, he ran over a girl and she died at a spot. Rina found out and now she's using it to blackmail him. Fredrick asked for help, at first I didn't want to but we all needed to get rid of Rina the sooner the better. I accepted and he suggested had an idea to get the property papers from her. The same day, Fredrick and I returned home, to meet the whole mansion decorated, he says,  Rina was throwing a party. An hour's later, we got dressed and ready to kick start our plan into action, Rina strolls down the stairs in a black dress. To others, she looked like a dazzling queen, In reality, she's nothing but a devil in sheep's clothing. Fredrick walked beside her, and tries so hard to make everyone believe, he was a happy man in love, after the news of I and Fredrick's divorce, it has been one hell of a drama. Rina gets up to the podium and welcomed her guests, Fredrick gave me a sign and I sneaked out of the party. I came to Rina's room. "Where could she drop the property papers?" I searched for it. Shortly I took heed of someone ambling towards the room, my eyes looked for a place to hide and after checking my options, I rolled under the bed and hid. The door pushed open and got to hear Rina's voice, "hello, why are you calling?". She speaks through the phone. "Who's she talking with?" I whispered to myself, while she walks in. " I have told you not to call me, I'll be the one too and what the heck do you mean, he tried to escape, can't you handle him, or do I need someone else to do your job," She screamed. Immediately I heard her run outside, I got outside and ran after her. Who might she be going to meet, at this hour? Question of the day?. Ricardo seems to have forgotten that whatever happening, is a result of his past sins, can he calm down a furious Rina?. Now we all know, why Fredrick is scared of Rina because he knows that one little mistake will end him up in jail alongside his father, and what if he ends up in jail, can Fredrick explain to everyone the truth of what happened that very night?. Sophia joins forces with her ex-husband, to get the one thing they both desire, will they succeed in their ploy to eradicate Rina, away from their lives?. Chris's attempt to get Rina exposed, got him captured by the same person, will he be able to escape, or will Sophia come to his rescue?      (Read more to find out).
