Chapter 28 - HIGHLIGHT
Clyde Nielsen
"Where's the other long-range sniper?" I asked Mason as I saw the plane door open. Christopher's guards came out first and walked towards Kayden, who was waiting about 20 feet from the plane. His guards checked Kayden's body to see if he carried any weapons.
Christopher doesn't know we have at least 20 people pointing guns at him.
Why is he a future king again?
"Ares took it." My head snapped to Mason. This man never gave anyone his beloved sniper because he wanted to enjoy the bloodbath. "Why?" I asked, but he pointed at the screen.
"Just focus, baby brother."
I saw Christopher walk out of the airplane. He's looking straight at Kayden with an arrogant smirk plastered on his face. My hands turned into a fist wanting to kill him myself.
"Good afternoon, Christopher." As usual, Kayden doesn't give a fuck about Christopher's title.
"Good afternoon, Mr.Grant." Leroy stood behind Kayden so I could hear the conversation pretty clearly. I checked Blanc's camera, and Kayden placed him near the plane.
"Are you in place, Young?" Asher asked through his earpiece.
"I'm targeting his right eye. You should target his left. I love when he's eyeball less." Ares chuckled, and Mason laughed. They have a thing for poking people's eyes out.
"Do you have what I want?" Christopher asked as he gestured something from his guard. I was on high alert, but Kayden looked calm and collected when I knew he wanted to kill him badly.
"I do. How about you, Chris?" Kayden asked in the most disrespectful tone, and Mason laughed maniacally. Even Asher chuckled at Kayden's tone.
"Where, Clyde? Is he still afraid of me?" Christopher shut Mason and Asher's chuckle in a split second.
"That pussy!" Mason hissed.
"He's at your 6 o'clock," Kayden said, and Christopher snapped his head along with his guards. Kayden chuckled, and Mason laughed again. "I think you're the one who is afraid of him."
"Give me the GPS." Christopher was glaring at Kayden. He wanted to kill him, but Kayden's head was worth a hundred times more than his. If he dared to hurt Kayden, even if it was just a pinch, he would die there.
"Give what's mine first, don't be a pussy, Chrissy," Kayden smirked, and Ares laughed so hard that his sniper shifted a few millimeters from Christopher's right eye to his left.
"Focus, Young." Asher hissed.
Christopher grabbed the small black case and threw it to Kayden. He opened it and checked the inside of that case. He gave it to Leroy, who was behind him, and Kayden took a phone from his pocket and threw it to Christopher.
"I heard Luna is here," Christopher said calmly.
"Fucking kill him." I turned on the communication, and Mason turned it off immediately. He pushed me back and took over by sitting in front of the screen.
"Team Alpha reports on Luna," Mason asked as he quickly checked for Luna's whereabouts. He checked the CCTV in her apartment, and for sure, she was putting her paintings in the living room for them to dry.
"In her apartment, sir. We've been closely looking after her." Mason then went back to the live footage.
"I suggest you go because she's leaving in 28 hours," Kayden said, and Christopher checked his time. He gave Kayden a nod and walked back to his plane.
"Good job, Grant. Bring that case to the headquarters." Asher said.
"What's in that black case?" I asked.
"You'll see." Kayden waited for the plane to depart before turning around to go back to his car. "What did you give him?" I asked curiously.
"Bianca's whereabouts, which will be a trap. He will die there, or maybe if you're nice enough. He'll lose two legs and two arms. Bianca was willing to help us. We'll give her the safety she needs after she traps him there. He won't be able to see her up close too." Kayden explained.
"Let's wait for the news of his death." Mason chuckled.
"I thought you guys don't want him dead," I said, and Ares chuckled before saying, "We don't want him dead in our soil, and besides, he should die after seeing the love of his life that has been running away from him."
"We're being so nice, by the way," Mason added, and I rolled my eyes. "When did you all plan this?" I asked as I checked Bianca's whereabouts.
"Like last night. Perfect timing, if you might add. Do you want Christina to die too? Or your father?" Mason looked at me smiling, waiting to say yes because I knew he would do it in a heartbeat. "Skip them, they never physically abused me, but I want their downfall."
"Your wish is my command, baby brother." Mason kissed the top of my head. I pushed him away, and Ares laughed. "Quit playing, do your job, Calland." Asher did not have the patience for Mason.
Mason left the room, and I sat in front of the screen again.
I should be the one who kills Christopher, but I don't want to risk Luna in return. Even though The Bloodhounds can cover all my tracks, Ares' words were right. His dying on our soil will be a bad image for us, and besides, there won't be a trace that he ever came here. Kayden made sure of that.
After 20 minutes, Kayden arrived at the headquarters first, throwing me the small black case. I opened it, and it was a beautiful red ruby. It was huge.
"How much is this worth?" I asked as I raised it to the light.
"The right question is who he stole it from." Ares walked past me with Mason's long-range sniper.
No shit.
"It's worth 2 Billion dollars because Katya Korolyov owned it from the 1820s." I put it back into the case after knowing it. "Why didn't I know this?" I asked Ares, who just made his way downstairs.
"I just knew earlier it's Asher and Kayden's doing." Those two thief.
Asher was known to be the Ghost, but Kayden was the Taker or the Thief. I'm not surprised if Kayden wanted this, but how did Christopher store it? From who?
"Go to Luna and make lots of popcorn. Christopher's dead would be your highlight tomorrow," Kayden said as he walked from the weapon room near the elevator.
"I should have killed him myself."
"Don't dirty your hands with that fucker's, Nielsen. Come here if you want to see the whole torture. Asher requested something for you to see." Kayden laughed as he called his team to come.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"I have two prisoners, currently debating between skinning them alive or making them my practice dummy." With that, Kayden walked out as his right-hand man gave him his hand gloves.
