Chapter 43 - UNEXPECTED
Clyde Nielsen
The trial went well. We had to stay in London for about three weeks. I made sure everything went fast because I didn't want Luna to stay in London for more than a month.
Everyone pleaded guilty because the evidence was obvious, and they all got prison time.
Of course, they pleaded guilty. I made sure everyone couldn't see a way out of this situation. Even though they destroyed the evidence, I can revive it pretty easily.
Luna cried upon hearing the results, and she was happy that she got the justice that she deserved.
I asked for Gerald and Marissa's blessing to marry Luna, which they happily gave me. For now, we will stay engaged until we settle down in our new home. Luna said she wanted to take time to heal after she found peace knowing that her bully wouldn't be free for at least three decades.
I let her do whatever she wants as long as she's happy and not hurting anymore.
Luna still has nightmares and sometimes sets her demons out. It's a part of her. She can't control it, especially when her trauma is so bad. I understand her and will always be beside her to help kill her demons.
Now, we're back in Seattle.
She's been planning to celebrate my birthday tomorrow. She threw me a party at her apartment. She invited the Bloodhounds members, Mila, Blanc, and Daisy. Then, she told me she was asking her three beloved guards to come.
"What do you mean you invited Oslo, Rodi, and Sage?" I asked Luna, who had just dropped the bomb.
"Why not? They're cool people." I shook my head, looking at her in disbelief.
"Luna, they have a job in London." Luna glared at me and put her hands on her hips.
"I invited them here, and I want you to pick them up from the airport." I closed my eyes and leaned back in my chair.
"Butterfly, I'm their boss, and I'm not–" She glared at me, and I decided to shut my mouth.
"Go, I'll send you the details," she said, and I got up from the sofa. She kissed me before sending me to pick those three up at the airport. I got into my car and drove off.
My phone rang, and it was Asher.
Before I could pick it up, someone crashed my car so hard that I blacked out immediately.
Luna Morris
Someone knocked at my door, and it was one of the guards. He looked at me, panicked.
"Ms.Morris, we want to notify you that Mr.Nielsen is missing."
It took me a minute to process the news. I looked at the guard again, hoping he told me everything was a joke.
"Mr.Grant is waiting for you downstairs to escort you to the headquarters." I nodded and left everything to follow him. We went downstairs, and Kayden was already waiting for me.
"What happened?" I could feel tears fill my eyes. Kayden couldn't answer it, and I screamed, "TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED!"
"Take her to the headquarters," he commanded, and the guards behind me grabbed both arms. I kept looking at him for an answer.
"We'll get him, don't worry." He assured me, and he got into his car while the guards led me to the black SUV.
"We'll currently look into it, Ms.Morris. Mr.Grant was assigned to care for you while we look for Mr.Nielsen." One of the guards explained, and they put me into the SUV.
I kept crying on my way to the headquarters. I can't think straight, and it's all my fault for telling him to go.
Once I got into the headquarters, I was assisted by Mila inside. She tried to calm me down and gave me a glass of water. I was going insane, so insane that I walked out of the room so angry.
"Where's Kayden?" I asked Mila, who followed me in panic. Mila led me to the basement where Kayden was. I opened the door and grabbed him by the collar.
"What happened? Tell me!" Kayden looked at me with a straight face. He looked down at where my hands were. I let him go, and he turned to his right, where there were seven screens displaying maps, live footage, and names of people.
"Christina was behind this. She wanted to kill him." Kayden said and turned to Mila, "Escort her out."
"So where is he?" I was still processing his words.
"They flew him to Copenhagen. We already have people there," Kayden said, and Mila escorted me out.
Asher Serano
I'm already waiting for the airplane to land in Copenhagen. I stood there with three guards, ready to kill whoever was inside. Mason and Ares were on standby at the airport roof with their long-range sniper.
"Sir, we have some news," Brooke told me through my earpiece.
"What is it?"
"We caught Christina and brought her to the warehouse."
"And?" I know Brooke has something more to say.
"Ms.Creed is missing." I saw the plane coming towards us.
"Everyone in position?" One last check before we kill everyone in that plane. "Yes." Mason and Ares answered. The plane landed, and they didn't open the door immediately. I had my tech team go to open it.
Christina used a military plane to kidnap Clyde. I guess she and Christopher were born with problems in their brain.
The back of the plane opened, and I walked towards it. No one came out at first, which made me walk into the aircraft because why would I be a pussy just to be standing like an idiot?
There's so much blood inside the plane. It's a sign of a massacre.
Suddenly, a big man stood before me, and I should have brought Sage. Before he could grab my gun, I pulled the trigger and kicked him right in his jaw. I stepped on him and shot him three times in the face.
"Clyde!" I called. If they had drugged him, he should have been conscious by now.
"Any sign of Clyde?" Ares asked as I walked in, focusing on my surroundings.
I went through everything, and the plane was empty, and there was no way.
Why would there be a blood bath if Clyde is not inside?
I went through the plane again, and something was off.
"Asher?" Ares asked as I scanned the plane one last time. I could hear someone breathing heavily. I told the whole team to stay quiet. I kneeled on the ground and found a hollow space.
I looked for an opening and had to shoot the metal to open it.
"Send the medical team here!"
