Chapter 26 - TRADE
Clyde Nielsen
"Who do we have here?" Ares said as I walked out of the headquarters building with an arrow and bow to practice my archery.
"I'm surprised not to see Luna with you." He smirked. "Tell her to contact me if she needs a model, and I'm far more good-looking than you."
"I have a bow and an arrow in my hand, Young," I stated the obvious, and he chuckled before running into the building. He had just finished going around the racing track, and his men were busy picking up all his shit there.
I walked towards my practice ground and started to practice. I've loved archery since I was a little kid. I accidentally hit Christopher once with it, and that's when it felt so good to hurt people who hurt you.
I believe in forgiveness but not to people who are unimportant to me. The only family that I got was my grandfather, who always believed in me and made sure that I got what I needed. As for my parents, they can go to hell. As for my siblings, I wish I could kill them.
Last year, Christopher reached out to me after knowing what kind of person I've become and what kind of circle I'm in. I've been working so closely with the mafia and the government that I have lots of connections, to begin with.
He wanted to find someone.
He will lift my ban if I successfully find the person he's been looking for which. I already knew her whereabouts and have been protecting her ever since.
His professional private investigator can't find her for years. That's why he reached out to me. Since I've been ignoring him, he reached out to another syndicate called The Ravens in New York, and I will bet with everything that I have that they don't fucking care.
"Mr.Nielsen." I turned to see Leroy, Mason's secretary.
"I'm busy, Leroy," I said as I pulled another arrow to shoot.
"Mr.Calland wanted me to alert you that your brother is in town," Leroy said, and I put down my bow before turning to him. "Team Beta has joined Team Alpha to protect Ms.Morris. Your brother will land in 10 minutes, Mr.Nielsen."
"Take him to the warehouse. I'll be there in 30 minutes," I said.
"Tell Kayden to go see him." We both turned to see Asher walking towards us fully in his combat suit. He approached me and threw a big punch to my face sending me straight to the ground.
He grabbed me by the collar and threw another punch to my stomach. I landed right in front of Leroy, who was squinting his eyes, not wanting to look.
"Tell Kayden to go, Leroy. I'm sending Clyde to the hospital for broken bones." Asher said as he grabbed my collar again, pulling me up to face him.
"Fucking idiot." He hissed as he threw another punch straight to my jaw. "If you go, I'll kill you," Asher said and threw me to the ground.
I stayed that way after I saw Asher and Leroy when in. Asher never wanted me to see Christopher again, not after he saw me almost die that day. I never saw Christopher, but he's been trying to communicate with me for years.
I got up from the ground and walked into the headquarters building. I threw my arrow and bow to the nearest guard, and he returned it to its original place. I went up to find Asher and met Kayden halfway.
"I'm not hearing a single word from you, Nielsen." He walked past me, and I sighed. He went down to the ground floor with his entourage.
"Why is he here?" I asked when Asher came down the stairs with a long-range sniper case. "You're planning to kill him?" I added it because Asher never brought his long-range sniper unless he wanted to kill someone.
"It's hard to believe that you both share the same DNA. He's fucking dumb." He commented, ignoring my questions, and went down with Leroy, who gave me a nod before walking past me.
"You guys are going without me?!" Mason shouted from the highest floor, which got ignored by Kayden and Asher. Mason's eyes met mine, and he waved his hand. "You need to buy a suit for his funeral." I shook my head.
I pulled my phone out and called Blanc.
"Join Leroy. Give me live footage." I ended the call and went to my computer room to track everything from the headquarters. I opened the live footage from their cars and had their location followed.
Kayden and Asher went on their separate ways.
I opened the CCTV and the censor to the headquarters to see all the men who joined this mission. I tracked every one of them to ensure no one was hurt.
"Why is he here?" I asked when Mason joined me. No one can access my computer room except for the members.
"Trading," Mason answered as he looked at all the six computer screens before me.
"Trade what? How come I didn't know about this?" I asked.
"We should pray that Serano is in a bad mood so he would kill Christofucker." Mason closed his eyes and intertwined his hands together, praying. "Amen." He chuckled, and I rolled my eyes.
"Asher wants to trade what?" I asked again.
"You'll see, it's an interesting one. I should have come but Serano told me I would kill him the moment I saw that bastard. I don't have the patients like Kayden." He's right.
"Let's hope he dies on this trip." I said and it came out as a whisper.
"I think he will, imagine the trophy for that. The Bloodhounds killed the Prince of Denmark." Mason clapped his hands. "I'll be the one who stepped forward into admitting it."
Blanc sent a signal to me that he's turning off the live footage.
"We love drama." Mason said as I set my eyes on the footage where Christopher's plane had landed.
