70. Wanted to slap Chelsey.
After Lebyth's conversation with her trusted lawyer, she called Renan to meet her later. She arranged a large Press Conference right in front of Lé Fragrance, and she wanted Renan to be there as proof that she wasn't crazy, as everyone believed. Furthermore, it would be good for Renan to be there so that if she felt unwell, someone would immediately attend to her.
She planned to reveal everything to the whole world, including who the true heir to one of the world's largest branded fragrance companies was. Her plan also included removing her husband as CEO and announcing that the company would be handed over to their daughter, the sole heiress of Lé Fragrance.
She had wasted many years, and she wouldn't wait to be oppressed again or for something to happen to her grandchildren at the hands of Megan and her mother. After getting out of the taxi she took to the Lé Fragrance building, she went straight inside, but before she could enter completely, she was stopped by a uniformed guard.
'Good morning, Ma'am. May I know what brings you here?" the guard greeted her politely.
'I need to talk to Damian Montañez; it's an urgent meeting," she replied.
'Ma'am, do you have a pass?" the guard asked.
She furrowed her brow. 'Do I need one to talk to my husband?" she asked.
The guard scratched his head, seemingly not believing what she said. Of course, she was sure that the employees there knew Damian's wife was Meryll. She took a deep breath before speaking again.
'Just tell him I want to talk to him. My name is Lebyth Andrada Montañez, his legal wife," she said.
Although hesitant, the guard complied. He went inside the building, and she patiently waited outside. If she were someone else, she wouldn't allow herself to be kept waiting outside her own company, but she had a reason for wanting Damian to come down. In just a few moments, the reporters she had called were about to arrive, with the help of Luigi.
'I need to talk to Dad, Mommy—we need to talk to him. What he's saying isn't right! Even if that woman claims ownership of this company, we're the ones who nurtured and worked hard for it!" Lebyth sneered when she heard the familiar voice from not afar from her.
Their eyes met immediately, and she saw the color drain from Meryll's face.
'Long time no see, Meryll," she greeted with a grin as their paths crossed precisely in front of each other.
'W-What are you doing here?! You are supposed to be in the Mental Hospital!" Meryll stammered.
She laughed with sarcasm and looked Meryll up and down with a smirk. 'I must admit that you're really quite a golddigger wh*re. How much of my wealth have you pocketed?" she said sharply and insultingly.
Meryll's face turned even paler, looking shocked to see her there.
'You're Briella's mother?" Megan interjected. She tilted her head, and Lebyth returned the gesture. Then, she laughed insultingly while looking at Megan from head to toe.
'It's no wonder you're mother and daughter. You both reek of jealousy and have ugly personalities," she said, accompanied by a mocking laugh.
'Don't make a scene here. Where's the guard, and—" Meryll started.
'Oh, I ordered my husband to come down," she interrupted, deliberately raising her voice for the last words. 'Besides, I didn't come here to cause a scene. I'm here to reclaim everything that rightfully belongs to my child!"
Meryll tried to grab her, but she quickly brushed off her hand and pointed at her face. Some employees watched the commotion they were making.
'Don't you ever touch me with your filthy hands!" she scolded.
'What's going on here?" she heard her husband's voice ask.
She widened her smile as he approached them and just as the reporters she had called arrived. They quickly gathered in front of the four of them.
'L-Lebyth!" Damian exclaimed in surprise.
She ignored him, her gaze fixed on Meryll, who almost looked like she was about to vomit when the reporters arrived.
'Mommy, let's go inside," Megan said, holding her mother's arm, but because she had prepared for this encounter, the two of them didn't escape. She immediately faced the reporters and spoke up.
'I am Lebyth Andrada Montañez, the legal wife of this man!" she pointed to Damian, who seemed surprised by what she did. 'And this wh*re together with her daughter has had an affair with my husband for more than a decade! I suffered depression and mental illness because of my husband's abuse, which also led to the loss of another child I didn't give birth to, and—"
'Stop it! Don't you have any shame? You're causing a scene here, you crazy woman!" Meryll interrupted her.
She grinned and faced Meryll. 'I went crazy because of you. Did you think I didn't know you set me up with your lover? Ha! I'm not as stupid and naive as you!"
'Lover?" her husband's face suddenly darkened, seemingly surprised by what she said.
'Mrs. Montañez, I just wanted to ask something. What's the reason behind calling us here?" a reporter asked her.
'You call them? Are you really out of your mind, Lebyth? Since when did we call reporters for this kind of problem?" Damian's face grew even darker at her words.
Ignoring him, she turned to the reporters. 'I just want to inform the whole world that starting today, I am removing Damian Montañez from his position as acting CEO. It's time for him to pay for all the betrayals and shamelessness he has done to me!"
Everyone present was surprised and shocked by her announcement.
'You can't do that! You're still sick and—"
'No, she's not," Renan suddenly emerged from the crowd, accompanied by his lawyer and five policemen, approaching her.
'Who are you?" Damian asked, his gaze sharpening as he looked at Renan.
'I am her doctor," Renan replied. 'And I can prove that she's not as crazy as you think."
'Mr. Montañez, I'm sorry to say this, but based on the documents presented by Mrs. Montañez, she can reclaim the company at any time she wants. It is stated in the document you signed that all the assets of the couple will go to their eldest child, Briella Montañez," her lawyer explained.
'No! That's not possible! You mean to say there won't be anything left for Daddy's other children? And we're the ones who made this business grow, so what you're saying isn't fair!" Megan shouted uncontrollably.
She chuckled softly. 'What have you done, aside from stealing and indulging in wealth that doesn't belong to you? Do you think I didn't know about your husband's corruption within my company?"
Megan couldn't retort to what she said and seemed clueless about what was happening.
'That's not true! My husband was just helping Daddy in growing this company! You're just trying to tarnish our reputation to take all the wealth we worked hard for! Be fair and give us half of the company's shares!" Megan argued furiously.
She took a deep breath and shook her head repeatedly. 'If I were you, I wouldn't think about that right now. Think about how you'll get out of prison when all your ATM cards and bank accounts are frozen."
'W-What did you say?" Meryll asked, panic-stricken.
She didn't answer her. 'Attorney, you take care of them. I want them all in jail!" she instructed her lawyer.
Her lawyer immediately complied and signaled for Damian and his daughter to be arrested. The man didn't resist and remained silent, staring at her. However, the two women didn't want to come along and went into hysteria.
'Don't touch me, I'm pregnant! If I miscarry, I'll sue you!" Megan screamed at a police officer who was about to handcuff her.
'Don't worry, we'll test you if you're really pregnant or not," she said.
She was about to speak more but quickly hid her face from the reporters who were taking photos while being escorted by the police.
When the commotion subsided, she was bombarded with questions from the reporters. She answered each question, and the last question was the most intense, something she wasn't sure of herself.
'Ma'am, last question. Last month, news came out that President Braun and your daughter, Miss Briella Montañez, got married. Have you met them? Have you discussed the rumored remarriage of the two?" a reporter asked.
'I trust whatever decision they make, especially President Braun. I know he won't neglect my daughter. As for their marriage... my lips will remain sealed, and I'll wait for them to announce it to the world themselves," she replied. After saying that, she politely bid farewell to them and sincerely thanked them for coming.
Their presence was a big help because she used their influence to inform everyone that no one succeeds by destroying families. They might win and destroy one family, but as long as you have evidence that your husband is tied to you, you can fight. Not to get back your cheating husband but to start anew without him and find the happiness that you deserve.

Briella let out a deep sigh after watching the dramatic scene unfold in front of their company. She never expected her mother to do that and even involved the media in their family's problems.
'That was intense! Despite everything, Megan still has the nerve! Do you think she's really pregnant?" Chelsey asked while munching on some chips.
Briella shook her head and took a bite of her favorite ube ice cream, topped with Nachos.
'No, she's not pregnant. Nami said she couldn't get pregnant," she said.
'Huh? Why is she acting like that then?" Chelsey raised an eyebrow in confusion.
She shrugged. 'Maybe her mind snapped, and she deludes herself into thinking she's pregnant. Or maybe she's just lost her mind entirely, and all she sees are illusions."
Chelsey nodded repeatedly. 'Poor bitch," she commented and changed the TV channel.
'What's your plan now? Can you still handle all your schedules and the company?" Chelsey asked her.
She sighed heavily and leaned back on the sofa. She put down her empty bowl and rubbed her stomach, which was starting to show a bump.
'I can still manage, but Braun won't. I need to give up my career to focus on my pregnancy and the company," she replied.
'I know your family is more important to you so I won't object anymore, but what about the companies you've invested in?" Chelsey asked.
'That will be the last, and after that, my life will just revolve around home and office," she replied. 'You should pursue your dream, Chelsey. Why don't you accept Janice's offer to be a photographer in her company?"
'I'll think about it later," Chelsey replied and opened another bag of chips.
She reached for her bowl of ice cream and was about to stand up, but Chelsey quickly stopped her.
'Hey! You won't lure me into gossip, Briella. You've already had two bowls of ice cream; you might overeat again, and whatever happens to you, I might get hanged by Big Boss," she said, grabbing her bowl.
'I'm still hungry!" she protested.
'Hey—stop it, Briella! Don't be so dramatic. Your husband has cooked so much food for you. Why not eat that instead?" Chelsey scolded her.
For the first time in their friendship, Briella wanted to slap Chelsey for being so strict with her, as if she were following Braun's orders more than her friend's.
