75. You’re not getting any younger.
The days quickly passed for Briella and Braun, both busy preparing for their upcoming wedding. They only invited a select few people, mainly close relatives and friends.
They were both allergic to media attention, so they decided to keep their wedding a secret. However, they couldn't refuse Janice's suggestion to cover their wedding—from prenuptial photoshoots to the wedding day Chelseyself.
Their wedding was scheduled for the seventeenth of June, and their prenuptial shoot was planned for the following week, so they were now preparing to fly to Bali with their families.
'Are you ready?" Chelsey asked her. 'Ready for the big day, I mean."
She took a deep breath, leaned back on the sofa, and smiled, gently placing her hand on her belly.
'I'm ready," she replied.
'Congratulations, Brie. You deserve to be happy, and I'm so happy for you," Chelsey said with a smile.
Chelsey approached her and hugged her tightly.
'I wish for you the same. Do you have any plans to have a boyfriend?" she asked her.
She quickly broke away from the hug, seeming incredulous at her words.
'Is there something wrong with what I said?" she raised an eyebrow.
'Why did the conversation turn to me?" she asked, suddenly frowning.
One corner of her mouth twChelseyched; why did she feel like the woman was becoming defensive?
'Because you're not a child anymore? Have you ever had a boyfriend?" she asked.
Chelsey paused, noticing the blush on both of her cheeks. She smiled and teased her even more.
'So you're still NBSB, huh?" she said with a mischievous grin.
'W-What's wrong with that? I'm just careful in choosing the right man, okay!" she defended.
'And you haven't found anyone who meets your standards yet?" she asked.
Chelsey looked away. 'N-No."
'But do you have someone you like?" she asked again.
Chelsey let out a frustrated sigh. 'Do you really need to ask that? What does your wedding have to do with my personal life?" Chelsey asked, scowling at her.
'Is it hard to answer my question?" she asked, laughing.
Chelsey pouted and glared at her. 'Shut up. You shouldn't think about anyone else's business!"
'It's nice to love and be loved, Chelsey, just saying."
Chelsey stuck her tongue out at her and didn't respond, so she didn't bother teasing her anymore. She didn't want Chelsey to be mad at her, and she might not want to come and attend her wedding. Chelsey was one of the most influential people in her life, and she had never left her and was always with her. And it's only right that she makes her Maid of Honor.
By evening, they gathered at Braun's parents' house, and there were only about ten people with them. She was surprised when Janice said she didn't bring a photographer.
'Why should I bring one when Chelsey is here?" Janice replied with a smile when Travis asked.
'Whoa, really?" Travis asked in amazement, looking at Chelsey, whose face seemed to lose color.
'W-Wait, did I agree? Did we talk about this?" Chelsey raised her eyebrows, looking at Janice.
'Nope, but I know you can do it, so I didn't bring anyone. Also, didn't Braun say no one else is allowed?" Janice explained with a grin.
'B-But..." Chelsey sighed heavily and looked at her. She leaned her head and smiled.
'You can do it. You're good at this," she agreed with Janice.
'Come on, if Janice and Briella trust you, then Chelsey's settled," Braun said, wrapping his arm around Briella's waist. 'There's no time to argue; the plane is waiting for us," he added.
Chelsey had no choice but to agree. They used three vehicles to get to the Airport, and she was filled with excitement and nervousness inside because she and Braun would soon be married in front of the altar and front of their families and friends.
Was there anything else she could ask for when she already had almost everything? A loving spouse, a happy family, loyal and trustworthy friends, and most importantly, there was an angel on the way to their lives.

They endured a ten-hour journey to Bali, and precisely at ten o'clock at night, they departed from the Philippines to arrive in Bali the following day. Upon arrival, they had no time to waste as they had two weeks before their scheduled wedding day.
When they arrived at the Airport, they all entered the private lounge together, waiting for the private shuttle to take them to the airplane. She felt her stomach turn upside down when she caught a whiff of the Sampaguita-scented air freshener. She quickly looked for a bathroom and wasted no time rushing to it.
'Slow down, wife," Braun said worriedly, standing behind her and supporting her.
As she entered the bathroom, she immediately went to the toilet bowl and vomited.
'God!" she exclaimed after five consecutive bouts of vomChelseying.
'Are you okay?" she heard Braun ask her.
She grabbed some toilet paper and wiped her mouth before slowly exiting the cubicle and heading to the sink to wash her hands and mouth.
'Here, drink this," he handed her a bottle of mineral water.
'Thank you," she said and immediately drank the contents of the bottled mineral water.
'What happened?" he asked while rubbing her back.
'I'm fine, and I just didn't like the smell of the air freshener they were using. The smell immediately hit my nose, so I suddenly felt nauseous," she explained as she gulped down the remaining water in the bottle.
'Is that all?" he asked her. Before she could answer, he took out his phone, and she was surprised to hear his conversation with Luigi.
'Luigi, please get rid of the Sampaguita scent in the room immediately. We'll be there in five minutes. Thank you," he said after hanging up the phone.
'Are you sure it's okay to do that?" she asked, wide-eyed.
He nodded. 'Yup. I'm still the son of the owner of this Airport," he answered with a smile.
Her jaw dropped even more at his words, and she had to hold her jaw to keep it from hanging open for too long.
What else did his family own? If the El Cueva family had such a large domain, why did he choose to separate himself and live the complicated and messy life of today's world?
Now she realized that when you have a dream, you don't necessarily have to fulfill it and leave behind things that don't suit you.
BALI, INDONESIA
After more than ten hours of travel by air, they safely arrived in Bali. At eight o'clock in the morning, they arrived at Braun's family's rented private beach, and Braun's mom immediately prepared food upon their arrival. Meanwhile, they each went to their respective rooms.
As Briella entered the room designated for them, she immediately lay down on the soft bed. The scent of the surroundings and lavender flowers filled the air, refreshing her senses.
'Can I sleep again? I'm still sleepy," she said, accompanied by a yawn.
'Okay, wife. I'll wake you up when the food is ready," Braun replied, helping her lie down properly.
He even took off her shoes and looked for her pajamas to change her clothes. After he dressed her, he kissed her on the forehead, and she closed her eyes. She still felt tired and sleep-deprived despite sleeping for the entire long journey to Bali.
Once Braun was sure that Briella was asleep, he carefully left the room. She noticed his friends gathering, so he approached them. He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when he noticed Luigi's grim expression.
'What's with that face?" he asked as he approached them.
Travis laughed and answered, 'Chelsey."
'What about her?" he asked, subtly looking around and searching for Braun's friend, but he couldn't find her, nor did he find his sister or Briella's two siblings.
'She's with Jeydon... and the others," Janice answered, ignoring Luigi's dark look.
'So what's the problem with that?" he asked, tilting his head and looking at Luigi, who seemed visibly upset.
'The problem is Chelsey is getting closer to Jeydon. It's obvious, Dude. There's someone who definitely doesn't like her to—"
'Shut your fcking mouth, Travis," Luigi said darkly. 'Stop teasing me, and I don't care about her at all."
'Really? Then it should not affect you if Chelsey and Jeydon will be the partners for my wedding?" he teased him.
Whenever the four of them were together like this, he felt being influenced by their dynamics. Over the past few days, Luigi had become the target of their teasing because it was evident that he liked Chelsey, but he refused to admit it to himself. Out of the three of them, he had no experience with women. He had never liked or had a girlfriend or even any flings. He surpassed even a virgin because he had never had any intimate encounters with anyone. Unlike Janice's attitude, they still didn't judge him or ask him why.
'So, did you change what was written on the invitation?" Luigi raised an eyebrow at him.
'Yup," he answered, even though it wasn't true. He was just teasing him.
Luigi glared at him and shrugged. 'The hell I care," he said.
Braun just grinned while their two friends laughed loudly. When was the last time they had seen him behave like this? It had been a long time since he had seen this reaction from Luigi. During the entire time they worked together, he had never seen him act like a child who thought he was being deprived of a toy.
'Should I prefer another wedding design for next year?" Janice playfully teased her brother.
'You should, and we don't know what will happen next. Who knows, after this wedding, it might not be long before—"
'Aren't you guys going to stop teasing?" Luigi interrupted Travis and Janice.
'What? Why do we need to stop? Is it wrong to plan for our future?" Travis said with a grin.
Luigi fell silent, unable to hide his embarrassment. His face turned red as a tomato.
'Don't you have any plans to get married, Luigi? You're not getting any younger," he said to him.
Luigi sighed heavily, visibly annoyed, and stood up, excusing himself from the three of them. He didn't really plan to add to the teasing of their two friends, but he also wanted to help his friend and assistant find a woman who would love him. He wanted him to experience how wonderful it feels to be loved and to love in return. As his best friend, he wants what's best for him, too. And he knows that Chelsey could give him that if fate ever brought them together.
