46. Come on, Brauny. I’m not a dork. I’m a doctor
When Briella fell asleep, Braun quietly got out of bed. He didn't want to disturb her peaceful sleep because he knew she was exhausted from the events of the day.
He left their room, furrowing his brow when he heard the heated argument between Luigi and Briella's friend.
What's her name again? Cheesy? Chexie? Fck who cares?
He didn't quite understand what the two were arguing about, as they seemed afraid to be overheard. He descended the stairs and saw his friend Doctor, seemingly amused watching the two bicker like dogs and cats.
'Doc Mongrel," he greeted the Doctor as he approached.
The two stopped their quarrel quickly, and Luigi stood up to greet him. He nodded in response and turned to the Doctor.
'Have you been here long?" he asked.
His friend Doctor smiled. Travis Mongrel, twenty-nine years old. Son of one of the most renowned doctors in the field of Medicine.
'Dude, do you really need to be formal in front of me?" he jokingly asked.
'Shut up, dickhead, just answer me," he replied, sitting on the single sofa facing them. He raised an eyebrow when he saw the puzzled face of Briella's assistant.
'You, what's your name again?" he asked the woman.
'M-me? Me?" she stammered, pointing to herself.
'Did she point to anyone else, dummy?" Luigi muttered weakly, but everyone heard it.
Travis burst into laughter, especially when the woman slapped Luigi without restraint. He sighed heavily and shook his head.
'Never mind," he said. 'Go up to the room and watch over Briella. Don't wake her up, and be careful not to make any noise," he instructed her. 'Stay with her until I go up with Doc Mongrel."
After giving Luigi a stern look, she said her goodbyes and went straight upstairs.
When the three of them were left alone, he raised the corner of his lips and raised an eyebrow at Luigi.
'What's between you two? You're acting like kids with your bickering," he asked.
Luigi grimaced and lowered his head. 'It's nothing, Mr. President. That girl is just a dummy."
Travis laughed again, and they both glanced at him. At that moment, the three of them together forgot their social positions.
'Sorry, you two are really into this Boss and Assistant thing," he said, sitting leisurely on the single sofa.
'Shut up, that's not why you're here," he replied irritably.
Travis raised his hands in surrender, but soon they heard a car stop outside, and moments later, Janice entered without hesitation, raising her eyebrows when she saw the three of them.
'Great, you're all here," she said, approaching Luigi to kiss his cheek, but his assistant moved away. 'I missed you too, brother!" she exclaimed, sitting on the large sofa.
Luigi didn't react, nor did he bother to look at Janice. He didn't prolong the spat between the two and faced them seriously.
'So, what's the plan? Someone violated the rule, and she needs to pay for it," Travis said seriously.
Janice glanced at him with a sharp look and sighed heavily. 'It's my fault," she said, raising a hand. 'I thought it'd be a great help for Briella."
'It is," he said. 'But that dirty wench was quite smart," he added.
'What do you want to do now?" Luigi asked. 'If we don't contain the spread of that video soon, someone will surely know about XHaven."
'Come on, guys, chill! With the tight security and our IT guys' expertise, no one can leak any legal activities there," Travis said.
'And what do you call what one of Janice's toys did today?" Luigi raised his eyebrows.
'Easy, bro. He's just enjoying herself. There's nothing wrong with that. Why don't you try it too?" Travis grinned as he looked at Luigi.
'Don't open that filthy mouth of yours unless you have something good to say," Luigi said with a grimace, but he couldn't hide the redness in his ears.
Both he and Luigi were not into any wild activities related to sex. They preferred to do such things with a woman they would be with until they grew old. They both had no experience with sex, but they knew how to pleasure a woman.
Janice, Travis, Luigi, and he founded XHaven. They had known each other since high school, Travis and Janice being the naughty ones and Luigi and him being the good ones. After college, they found time for each other, and during those times, Janice and Travis decided to start a club. Both he and Luigi joined them, and that's how XHaven came to be.
Usually, the clients of their club were millionaires looking for entertainment and could amuse themselves with anyone they fancied in the club. The club was open to any gender identity and had high-security BDSM standards.
You'll see all kinds of people in every state of dress or undress you can imagine, from jeans and a T-shirt to leather and latex fetishwear to rope harnesses to nothing at all. You'll see just about any activity you can imagine and more than a few you likely can't. Everyone in the club is allowed to have sexual intercourse, and you'll definitely see people flogging, spanking, whipping, massaging, teasing, and otherwise playing with each other in couples threesomes or foursomes or, occasionally, more. Almost all clubs have music; some have live DJs, and XHaven also has them. Some DJs wear nothing but a necktie and headphones; some want to wear t-shirts and rip them off when the crowd gets hot.
Every customer is required to sign an agreement that talks about things like the club rules, confidentiality, and codes of conduct. One thing common to every club is a very strong emphasis on consent. You do not do anything or touch anyone without explicit permission. One strike, and you're gone, period, no overdoers.
'Don't be ridiculous, Luigi. You know that woman also brought in a substantial amount of money, and I heard some old geezer wants her to be rented, right, Jan?" Travis said with a smirk.
'True, she asked me for four million as her silence fee, even though no formal agreement was made. I have records of every transaction we had. Including her texts and calls asking for payment for her dirty deeds," Janice replied seriously.
A dangerous smile played on his lips. 'Then what are you waiting for? Take that bitch to that old fart and make her pay all her debts. Also, I want her to have a broken arm and a swollen face," he said.
Travis whistled at her statement, but he ignored him and continued speaking.
'Fix the mess you got yourself into, Ortega. Don't wait for me to take action," he threatened.
'And what about Xander Madrigal?" Janice asked him.
'He's mine," he replied. 'Luigi, gather all the evidence of all Star Agency's violations. I want to turn that company back to ashes."
'B-But you promised Madam that you wouldn't interfere—"
He stopped speaking, fixing it with a sharp look.
'Just do what I say. I won't allow them to get away with hurting my wife. Talk to Judge Marcos and tell him I'm demanding an increase in penalties for that idiot's company violations," he said vehemently.
All he could do was nod and excuse himself. He didn't stop him anymore, letting him leave.
'Can I see her?" Janice asked him.
'No," he replied firmly. 'Leave now, and we'll talk again some other time."
She glanced at him, then stood up abruptly and left without a word.
When Travis and him were alone in the living room, he immediately stood up and invited him to go up to their room. If it weren't really necessary, he wouldn't have introduced Briella to this idiotic friend of his.
He always loves to play, and at twenty-eight, he still refuses to take life seriously. He's a Doctor, licensed and ranked, but he doesn't want to act like one. When they were in front of his room, he faced him again.
'Don't even try to flirt with her, Mongrel. I'll burn you alive and throw you into a pool full of ice!" he threatened sharply.
'Easy, dude, I still want to stay in this world," he said with a grin, patting him on the shoulder.

Briella couldn't help but open her eyes wide due to Chelsey's frequent pacing back and forth in their room earlier. She sensed it when Chelsey entered cautiously earlier, but she didn't open her eyes as she was sure Braun had sent her to keep an eye on her.
'What's wrong with you? You've been restless since earlier," she asked.
'Oh, a grasshopper swallowed a melon!" Chelsey exclaimed, clutching her chest in shock. 'You scared the hell out of me!" she exclaimed at Briella.
Briella shrugged and sat up, grimacing as a sudden sharp pain shot through her swollen hand when she inadvertently pressed it against the bed.
'Let me see your wrist," Chelsey said, approaching her and gently taking hold of her swollen arm.
She cursed when she saw it had worsened and turned red.
'What did Big Boss say about this?" she asked, slowly releasing her hand.
She took a deep breath before speaking. 'He's mad."
Chelsey rolled her eyes and sighed. 'Of course, he is. What spouse would be happy to find out their partner was ganged up on? Why didn't you fight back? Or better yet, why didn't you tell the truth?" she said irritably.
She smiled. 'The higher you fly, the harder you fall," she said, looking at Chelsey. 'Prepare the videos and images showing they were together the night before we were supposed to meet. Also, their stay at the hospital and their message exchanges," she instructed.
Chelsey suddenly grinned widely, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
'Finally! What do you want, to reveal everything at once or do it gradually?" she asked with a smirk.
'Don't spill everything. I prefer to play with them myself. Did they think they were the only ones who knew how to play?" she said with a vicious smile on her lips.
Chelsey clapped and laughed loudly, but her laughter died down quickly when the door opened, and Braun emerged, accompanied by a man not much younger than the two.
'Did I tell you not to make any noise and keep her sleeping until I come back?" Braun raised an eyebrow, his expression dark.
'I've been awake since earlier," she replied to Braun.
'I-I'm gotta go," Chelsey quickly said, barely pausing for a moment as she almost rushed out of their room.
'I'll call you when I get home," she added hastily before disappearing from view.
'You need to stop threatening her, hubby," she sighed to Braun.
'If she'll grow up and stop acting like a kid, I will," Braun said, approaching her. 'How's your wrist?" he asked softly.
'I'm fine. I need to reduce the swelling, and then I'll be—"
'You're not fine," he cut her off. 'Can't you see yourself? I feel so useless seeing you like this."
They heard someone stifling laughter behind Braun, and they exchanged glances before he turned sourly to face his companion, a Doctor. She also looked at him. He was tall, with broad masculine shoulders and a triangular-shaped firm body. His undercut hair was dyed to stand out even more against the black circular shape on the right side of his head.
'Oops, sorry. Don't mind me, and continue your sweet moments. I'll be right here and endure all these sweet shits in front of me," he grinned, teasing Braun.
Did they know each other? She shifted her gaze between the two men, and she suspected they did. No one could withstand Braun's sharp gaze for long, let alone grin and be sarcastic like this in front of his husband.
'Damn you," Braun muttered, then turned back to her. 'That dork is Mongrel, and I called him to check your wrist."
'Come on, Brauny. I'm not a dork. I'm a doctor," Travis complained as he walked towards them.
She remained looking at Travis, unable to blink, fearing he might collapse on the floor in anger at the intensity of her husband's gaze.
'Can I see your wrist now, Madam?" he asked with a smile.
She lifted her arm and showed it to him. Just as he was about to touch her arm, Braun spoke again, or rather, threatened.
'You better make sure she won't get hurt or else—"
'Dude, relax. How will I know how bad her injury is if I don't—"
'Don't give me that bullshit, Mongrel," Braun snapped at him. 'You're the best Doctor in town, so don't give me that damn crap!"
She shook her head as she listened to their argument. In truth, what they were arguing about was worthless, but because she was the patient being examined by Braun's friend, she knew that if she showed any signs of pain, Braun would erupt in anger.
She took a deep breath. 'Please do what he says, Doc. You know we can't argue with him," she said.
The Doctor was surprised, but he had no choice but to follow Braun's wishes. He carefully held her swollen hand and did everything he could to alleviate the pain from the pressure.
'You're hurting her, Mongrel!" Braun exclaimed when she breathed deeply.
'I'm trying not to hurt her, dude!" Doc Mongrel retorted. His face was now grim, clearly annoyed with Braun's actions. 'This is not just a simple matter."
He slowly released her hand, and when he pressed it, she couldn't help but grimace, expecting Braun to speak, but she signalled to stay silent. Doc Mongrel wasn't joking; she couldn't even move her fingers because of the intense pain she felt.
'Can you move your hand?" he asked her.
She tried to move it, but she gasped as the pain shot through her entire body.
Braun sighed heavily and gave Doc Mongrel a piercing look.
'She needs to do a CT scan or MRI. Her hand's fall is bad, and if it's not addressed immediately, it will only get worse," the Doctor said seriously.
She furrowed her brow, suddenly feeling panicked, but she didn't show it. 'Does it need an operation?" she asked.
'Possibly, yes. We need to fix the broken bones, and you'll have to undergo hand therapy to speed up your recovery," he explained.
She nodded, but inside, she was starting to panic and sweat. She was afraid of needles and would panic immediately upon seeing one.
'We'll have to do it as soon as possible, Braun," he said to him.
'Alright, we'll do it. Go and prepare what needs to be done discreetly," Braun said.
Travis nodded, and after bidding her goodbye, he left the room, leaving only her and Braun. There was a moment of silence between them before he moved to help her stand up.
He took her to their walk-in closet and slowly undressed her. It still didn't move; she knew he was angry, but he still carefully helped her dress.
She took a deep breath and grabbed the sleeve of his shirt as he was about to turn away from her to dress himself.
'Braun," she called to him. She leaned her forehead against his shoulder, causing him to stop and face her.
'I'm sorry for giving you a hard time," she said. She couldn't hold back her tears any longer. 'I didn't think about anything but myself and getting—revenge for what they did to me. I let them do this to me, and I didn't think about you worrying and being anxious. I'm a terrible wife to you; I don't deserve to be your—"
'No, don't think about it. You're the best wife for me, Briella, and no one can compare to you as my wife. You're tough but have a good heart; some people won't stop because you're better than them, and they're consumed by envy," Braun said, facing her.
He gently lifted her face and wiped the tears from her cheeks.
'Please don't tell me not to do anything, wife. You've suffered so much, and I can't let it go. They're all going to pay, and I won't stop even if I have to go straight to hell with them!"
