76. Honeymoon
After wandering around, Chelsey and her friends decided to rest in the shade of a large coconut tree. They had been exploring the area all day, and she felt like her skin was already burnt.
When they arrived at the private resort, she immediately suggested taking a stroll to get ideas for Briella and Braun's upcoming prenuptial photoshoots. Although she wasn't a professional photographer, she knew how to differentiate between good and bad shots. She also needed to think about everything because she didn't want to disappoint her Big Boss.
'Are you okay?" Nami asked as she sat down beside her.
She smiled and looked at the photos she had taken on her camera.
'Can I see it?" Nami asked.
At first, she hesitated to show them, but in the end, she handed over her camera. Jeydon and Kimineah also approached to look at her shots.
'Wow, this is amazing!" Nami exclaimed in admiration.
She chuckled and felt relieved. 'Isn't it too ordinary-looking?"
'What are you talking about? Do you want to see how I take photos?" Nami jokingly said.
She scratched her head, feeling hesitant to smile.
'Nami's right, they are beautiful. You're really good at this. Why don't you pursue this career?" Kimineah suggested.
'Don't make fun of me. I'm easily fooled," she joked.
'Who said we're just teasing you? Can't you see how you captured that vast ocean? I'm sure it'll look even better after you edit it," Jeydon said, smiling at her.
She took a deep breath. Honestly, she was happy that someone appreciated her work. For someone like her who knew about photography, it was heartwarming to receive simple praise from people.
'Thank you," she said, smiling. 'You guys are boosting my confidence even more. I've been wondering if what I'm doing is right or if it's just boring to look at."
'Don't underestimate your work. If it were up to me, I could put it alongside the works of famous photographers. Why don't you try joining Janie's company?" Nami suggested.
'Yeah, it's a waste of talent," Kimineah added.
'I'll probably consider it later," she smiled at them. 'Right now, I have other things to focus on."
'Boyfriend?" Nami raised an eyebrow at her.
She shook her head.
'Not boyfriend?" Kimineah asked.
She shook her head again.
'Crush?" Jeydon raised his eyebrows.
She sighed heavily and shook her head again.
'Why are you asking so many questions?" she said.
'Don't you have a boyfriend?" Nami asked.
'Can we talk about something else?" she pleaded with them.
They looked at each other and then turned to her. She furrowed her eyebrows and couldn't believe they were all ganging up on her.
'No boyfriend since birth? Whoa! You're rare! Women like you are rare in the world," Nami said.
'True, with your beauty? Who would have thought you haven't had a boyfriend yet?" Kimineah seconded.
'Maybe your standards for a man are too high, huh?" Jeydon said with a grin.
She blinked and couldn't believe she was looking at each of them. They were really ganging up on me! What's wrong with being NBSB? Well, I just don't feel like falling in love yet!
'Can you stop it, please? I'm just good at waiting for the right person for me. Besides, I'm not in a rush. It's scary to get hurt and hope!" she defended herself.
'There's nothing wrong with trying. Don't you know that making mistakes with the person you love is part of life?" Kimineah said.
'I agree," Nami nodded. 'You can't be tough if you don't feel hurt and betrayed."
'Nothing will happen to you if you don't try. Don't you know that life is always a gamble? You have to take risks even though there's no certainty in everything," Jeydon said.
'Wait a minute!" she interrupted them. 'With the way you're advising me, it sounds like you've been through a lot in life! Our ages aren't far apart, and besides, do any of you have boyfriends now? If you ask me, it's like—"
'At least we've experienced having boyfriends. But you . . ." Nami said, laughing.
She rolled her eyes, but they laughed even more. Although they had only been together for a few hours, they felt like they had known each other for a long time because they all felt comfortable with each other.
'Not me, I'm courting someone," Jeydon said with a grin, evident bragging in his tone.
'Is she pretty?" she asked.
'Yup," he replied.
'As pretty as Nami?" she teased him.
'H-Huh?" Nami was surprised, unable to hide the blush on her cheeks.
'Maybe," Jeydon said.
'Maybe? You mean you're not sure if she's prettier than Nami? Is she ugly?" she asked, frowning.
Jeydon laughed. 'I'm not into pretty faces."
'That's true. Do you know the last girl he introduced to me that he's courting? Ugh! I don't want to be judgmental, but she's not beautiful, pretty, or cute!" Kimineah added.
Jeydon laughed again.
'You're really something, huh?" she said to him.
'Why? As long as I'm not hurting anyone, there's nothing wrong with what I'm doing," he said.
She sighed and noticed Nami's expression darkening, but she didn't dwell on it. She grabbed her camera and set it. 'Smile!"
She quickly pressed the camera's click button, and when she looked at the four of them on the screen of her camera, she laughed.
'Delete it, Chelsey, I look awful there!" Jeydon yelled, trying to grab the camera from her hand.
'Nope. Candid photos are rare, so it's a no!" she said, moving the camera away from him.
'You're just saying that because you all look good there!" he smirked at her.
'What's the difference between us and the ugly girls you like? Don't you want to be at least a little grateful to us?" she said, standing up to prevent him from taking the camera from her.
'She's right. Give us a copy of that, Chelsey, okay?" Kimineah chuckled.
'Me too!" Nami said, glaring at Jeydon. 'It's a good souvenir for this ugly brat!" she added, looking at the guy.
'Hey, I'm not ugly!" Jeydon protested.
'Whatever!" Nami retorted. 'Let's go back, and Mommy might be looking for us!"
'Okay," she said as she walked backward, facing them. 'We better get going. I can't wait to show Briella how cute her adorable broth—Ay!" She almost dropped her camera as she bumped into something hard from behind.
Oh my gosh! Since when did a wall appear in the middle of the beach?! Oh my God!
She closed her eyes and waited to fall onto the sand, hearing her friends scream. But moments passed, and she still didn't feel herself falling, so she slowly opened her eyes. There, she noticed someone holding onto her shoulder, preventing her from falling.
When she turned around, she saw Luigi's handsome face, looking at her expressionlessly. Her eyes widened as he slowly let go of her, and she quickly fell onto the sand face down.
'Asshole!" she shouted and grabbed a handful of sand, throwing it at him.
She heard him curse, but she ignored it and angrily stood up.
'You've always been such an uncouth asshole!" she angrily said, picking up her camera and storming away.

Briella frowned when she saw Chelsey's scowling face as she entered the house.
'What happened to you?" she asked as she approached her.
'Some jerk ruined my day," she replied, plopping down on the couch without hesitation.
'Jerk?" Briella raised an eyebrow. She seemed to have an idea of who Chelsey was referring to as a jerk.
Chelsey sighed heavily and slouched.
'That damn ungentlemanly wooden jerk! Argh! I hope he gets armpit pimples on your wedding day! He's so disrespectful to women!" she ranted.
'What did you two argue about now?" Briella sighed, asking her.
Before she could even enter, Braun approached her, holding a few magazines. He immediately noticed Chelsey and the deep frown on her face returned.
'What happened to you?" he asked Chelsey.
Chelsey glared at him and spoke. 'Your jerk assistant happened! Gosh, are there no decent men left except you, Big Boss?"
She was surprised by Chelsey's behavior, wondering what Luigi had done to deserve such harsh words from her.
Chelsey suddenly stopped and seemed to realize what she had said. She covered her mouth and stood up quickly.
'I-I'm sorry," she said quickly and left.
Briella smiled as she looked at her husband, who also seemed surprised by Chelsey's statement. She took the bowl of ice cream he handed her.
'Those two never seem to get along, do they? It's like they pick fights with each other every single day," he said with a deep sigh.
She chuckled softly. 'There's nothing wrong about it. They're still getting to know each other, so just bear with them. Besides, don't you think they look cute when they argue?"
'What do you mean, cute?" he raised an eyebrow at her.
She laughed at his reaction. 'Don't you find their fights amusing?"
He sighed heavily. 'If it makes you happy seeing them fighting, then so be it. Do I need to tell Luigi to annoy Chelsey even more?"
She burst into laughter at Braun's statement, realizing that it was the first time she had laughed like that in a long time. She was amused by Braun's surprised expression as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
'Why are you staring at me like that?" she asked him, still smiling.
He smiled back and gently kissed her on the lips. 'It warms my heart to hear you laugh like that, wife."
'Then you should bring me more ice cream, hubby," she said, handing him the empty bowl.
Braun smiled and nodded as he took the bowl from her, but his smile faded when he noticed her raised eyebrow and the smile disappearing from his lips.
'You can't eat more than three bowls of ice cream a day, wife. That's our agreement, right?" he reminded her.
She raised her eyebrow and pouted before speaking. 'But I want more," she said.
'You know you can't. Please don't be stubborn, wife," he said.
She sighed heavily, knowing that no matter what she did, he wouldn't give in. She quietly stood up and left without saying a word, not because she was upset or resentful but because her emotions once again defeated her due to her pregnancy. She was about to go upstairs to their room when Braun's mother called her.
She was on the veranda with Braun's mother when she approached them. Janice was there, too, smiling and waving at her.
'What's going on?" she asked them.
'We're discussing your honeymoon," Braun's mother replied with a smile.
'H-Honeymoon?!" she exclaimed.
Did they really need that? We're already married, and we've done it many times. D-Do we really need that?
