| Conceited Lady | AFTER WE eat, we decided to have a walk along. I need to find a job ASAP. We're about to cross when a fast car passes by. Damn! I almost got hit. "Like who the hell it is?" Reina asked, seems angry. "Can't he see people were about to cross?" I arched my eyebrow. "How do you know that it was a he?" I asked. "I saw the driver, of course. You almost got hit. What if that car hit you? You might be dead by now," she said. She put her right hand in her waist and bite her thumb because of frustration. I put my hand above my chest, clutching my dress, acting like I'm hurting. "Ouch, dead? I'm a cat you know, I got nine lives," I joke. "Your joke was so funny. Tell me if you want to be dead. I'll be the one to kill you. I almost got a heart attack and you have time to drop a joke up? Geez," she said and walked fast, leaving me behind. She's angry. Really. I chuckled. "Hey," I shouted. "Wait for me!" She glanced back and glared at me. "Catch up, you psycho!" she shouted back. I can't help myself but laugh. Me, a psycho? Sort of. I run to catch up. I reached her. "Hey, I'm sorry, okay. It's not that serious. Don't worry we'll hunt down the owner of that car and I'll beat him up. Okay?" "Ugh!" Ah-oh, she's really mad, I guess. "Reina," I said in a soft tone. "I'm sorry. Please don't be like that, give back the bubbly Reina that I know." Still no response. We're still walking. "Come on. Sorry, please." I clasped my hand together, begging. She pursed her lips, holding back her smile. "I know you're about to smile. Give a smile already," I said, smiling. "Fine." And there, is the smile that I wanted to see. "You crazy bitch." "Wow, I do have different names now, minutes ago, you call me a psycho, now a crazy bitch." "Because it suits you. Don't give me goosebumps again and an out of humor joke." "Promise." I raised my right hand. But my other hand is on my back, crossing fingers. "Silly you. Oh, you said we'll find the driver of that car and beat him up, right?" "Ah," I scratched the back of my head. "On that part, I'm not serious about it. Like, how do we find him inside of C.U? This is a huge place, yah know." I said. "He's riding a Tesla, and you know, that car was so rare. We can find him," she said, determinedly. "Come on, I won't waste my time, finding the ruthless jerk. Let's get back to the dorm. I'll find a job first thing tomorrow. Besides, I'm not done packing out my things, good for you, you've already done." "It's because you sleep the whole time rather than organizing your things. And I, can't sleep so what do you expect I'll do?" "Yeah, yeah, whatever. And it's getting dark again," I yawned. "I'm sleepy again." "What the fudge, Becca. Do you like to add fats to your body? Sleeping sometimes can increase fats, you know. Look at yourself, you're too chubby." "Excuse me. I'm not that chubby. I just have a healthy, sexy body," I said. Reina laughed. "Sexy? You've got to be kidding me." I arched my left brow. "F-Y-I, chubby is the new sexy. I got a perfect body, I may be not that slim as you but I've got curves and you... you're slim but a flattie." "F-Y-I, too... The flat is the new hot. I don't care if you have big boobs. Hot guys love slim girls, not a chubby one." "Oh, that's why Brent likes you and keeps on cheating because he loves slim girls, is that so?" I asked. "Don't bring up my boyfriend on this conversation," Reina said, which seems nasty. "What?" we climbed upstairs and walk to our room. I twirled the doorknob. "I'll say this again, once a cheater, always a cheater. So, please, think a countless time." She didn't reply and went straight to her bed and tossed her body above it. "Sleepy huh?" "Shut up," she replied. "Chill. I'm just concerned with you my dear cousin." Indeed, their relationship was not healthy anymore. "Give me advice if you experience loving a man." I grabbed my luggage and opened it. I opened the cabinet, grabbed some clothes, and place them there. "Oh, I don't need to be in a relationship just to give a piece of advice. Your case is general and I watched a lot of stuff about it." "I'll think about it. If he wastes the chance, I gave him, I'll break up with Brent." "Good," I replied. Why it is so easy for a guy to cheat? Well, not all the guys though. But others really can't be contented with the relationship they have. If that's the case, they better not be committed in the first place. That's why I don't want to have a boyfriend yet. It's not that I'm afraid, I'm just being wise. "Why do guys cheat?" I asked based on what I'm thinking. "No comment," she replied. "You're taking BS Psychology, you should know why," I said. "Even if I know about it. I won't tell you. Have a boyfriend first, before I tell you." I looked at her and was seated on my bed. "Well, it's okay if you'll not answer my question, I know the answer, anyway. I don't need a boyfriend and I will never fall in love with someone else, not until I graduated and find a job." "Oh, don't be so sure. You don't control your fate nor your destiny. Who knows when will cupid targets your heart? Don't say things of a sudden, you might eat what you're saying right now. You might fall in love, anytime, anywhere. No one knows. Once you feel such an emotion that is so foreign to you, it's what you call love and when that happens, I won't help you. Even though you're my cousin. Let's see how you chew your words right now." "Wow... you're so supportive and caring," I said, sarcastically. "What I say, I say. And I will make it up. No boyfriend until I finish my studies and find a great job. Look, I made it up to now, I didn't have a boyfriend since the beginning, though I have so many suitors, I didn't give them a chance. Not a single chance. And I will make it until I graduate.
