CHAPTER 23
AYEISHA SALVADOR'S POINT OF VIEW
"Ayesha," he called my name.
I didn't think twice and pulled him inside of my room, then pushed him towards my bed. I lock my door and walk towards him.
"Please! Can we keep this a secret?" I begged him.
I go down on my knees to beg him.
I dont need my identity to be revealed, no one should know, even Blaike.
"Wha-t?" he seemed confused.
I looked at him and stand up.
"You didn't hear anything?" I asked him.
He then cleared his throat and looked at me seriously. Then asked me, "How long are you working for them?"
"8 years," I answered.
"Why did they need to keep an eye on Blaike?" he asked once again.
"Because they were afraid that after this mission Blaike would be left the organization. Blaike was one of the best people they had. They didn't want to lose Blaike," I replied.
"So you were working in the same underground society like us?" he demanded.
"Yes,"
"They send you to keep an eye on us?" he asked me again.
"Yes,"
I looked at him with fear in my eyes.
Rod was one of the best people that our organization had. Without Blaike he was would be our superior's favorite. Because in three years, Blaike and Rod finished 15 cases. And the last case that would Blaike handle is this one.
Rod had a great capability in fighting, he was also good at hacking computers, cellphone, or any digital devices. His IQ is so high, no one dared to harm him or even challenge him. He was a good and honest man, I've known.
"Tell me everything you know, and I'll let you tell me one favor that you would like me to do for you," he said in a serious tone.
I looked at him.
I can see through his eyes, that he was serious. I can feel that he wasn't joking around.
What do I do? Should I tell him the truth?
I dont want Blaike to know about this because I dont want him to look down on me. I know he welcomed me in his mansion. He trusted me and treated me like his own family.
The organization doesn't want to harm Blaike and Rod. Maybe, I just should tell Rod the truth, I know he would not tell it to Blaike. The organization just wanted to protect Blaike at all costs. They just do not want to lose him, a person that they know they can trust the most, a person that would do a great job.
"O-one favor?" I stammered asked.
"Yes!" he shortly replied.
I took a deep breath and sighed.
I closed my eyes, for seconds. Before speaking to Rod and telling him every single detail I know.
I had no choice!
"The organization ordered me to keep an eye on Blaike, and on you as well. They planned to kept Blaike on the underground society until he was in his 40's or 50's. Since Blaike had a great skill in fighting and everyone feared and respect him. They needed someone like him in the organization. But since Blaike wanted to leave the organization after this mission, they tend to make a plan or way to make him stay. So they wanted me to keep an eye on you, and update them if Blaike changed his mind. If Blaike did change his mind before you both finished this mission I would vanish in your sight and stopped spying on the both of you," I explained.
I looked at him.
Then walked towards him, and sat, beside him on my bed.
"Is that all?" he seriously asked me.
"Yes," I nodded.
"Then what favor you wanted me to do for you?" he stated.
I looked at him straight in his eyes.
He was dead serious asking me what I wanted.
There was only one thing...
One thing...
That I wanted---.
"That is---. Please! Dont tell everything to Blaike. Please!" I begged him and get on my knees to continued begging.
I looked at him with despair in my eyes. I was so desperate in these times, I need to convince him on telling on Blaike. Since I had a crush on Blaike I dont wanna ruin my image of him. I just fell in love hard on him.
I tried to persuade him, making my puppy eyes, and making my cuteness to the max.
At this time, I dont care if I looked like a dog, begging on my master.
All I need to do now is to make Rod shut up and do not tell Blaike. My superiors must also not find it because they would kill me if they had known that I fall these missions.
"Okay!" Rod coldly answered.
I froze for a minute, but then came back to my senses.
"Did just Rod agree in my favor?" I asked myself.
Then I stand up slowly, as I looked at him.
"O-okay?" I stammered replied.
"It was so easy! As long as you would tell me every single detail that you would tell them about me and Blaike. Then I would let it pass and do not tell it to Blaike. I would agree with your favor in that kind of condition. Since the organization doesn't want to harm us. They just wanted to make sure that their people won't leave them behind once we are wanted to leave even without their notice and approval," Rod began. "All I wanted for you to do is every time you talked to them I just heard it. Are you gonna agreed with it?" he continued.
"Yes," I answered and nodded at him.
They were right!
The rumors are right, about him. He was a kind and gentle person. He was an easy-going person, he was easy to negotiate with.
I happily agreed with him, even it was against my mission. But Blaike is the only person that I needed to keep an eye on because the organization wanted him to stay in underground society. And my mission is to report to them what he planned is if he changed his mind or not.
My superior would be angry if I would tell them that Rod found out. But they would not know it, because I know what Rod can be capable of doing. He can turn everything around, and you won't even notice it. He was very good at hiding top secrets.
That is why the organization also wanted me to keep an eye on Rod. Because he was the right hand of Blaike and the only trusted person of Blaike. So I needed to keep an eye on Rod because maybe I could know what Blaike planned after this mission ended.
"Can I ask why did you not want Blaike to find out about this? Blaike would get along with this and won't get angry at you. Since he was one of the people you keep an eye on," Rod doubted.
"It was because he did not need to know. The organization only wanted to keep him because he had a great skill that was rare to find. They needed you both to work together to do every mission completely and perfectly," I answered.
I sighed in relief.
While thinking that Rod was easy to talk to. I said to him every detail of my mission but, it doesn't matter, since I know I can trust him. And everyone knew that he never broke his promise.
Once he said a thing he always do it...
Im was just glad that Rod was the person who overheard my conversation with our superior. Because if it was Blaike, I didn't know what to do, and what to say.
Rod was a person you can easily trust with everything, everyone knows does. That is why I am trusting him right now. Trusting him the information about my mission and also trusting him in my life. Because if he leaks this information I am done. The organization would kill or punish me because I failed to do a simple tasked they asked me to do.
It was like, right now, my life depends on Rod. When he told it to Blaike, and when they confronted our superior about these I would be dead. Im did not know what I am gonna do if that happens to me.
But I know trusting Rod was the best decision I would make. Because since the day I came in here, he welcomed me. Blaike always ignores me but, he did not do the same. He always makes me welcome in this mansion and makes sure I am comfortable.
"Can I ask how old are you when you started working on the organization?" he asked me.
I sat down beside him in my bed.
"Since I was 14 years old," I answered.
"How did you enter the underground society, and become one of best?" he asked me again.
I took a deep breath, then looked at him for a second. Then looked away before answering his questions.
"My mother left me on the street. I remembered I was 10 at that time, I begged her to take me with her, but she just leave me on the street to die. I've wandered on the street for 4 years until I met one of our superiors. She helped me, feed me, dress me, enrolled me, and taught me every weapon, and self-defense. That is why I entered this organization," I explained the organization.
Then he started in my eyes for a second before looking away, he then changed the topic.
"Why did you not want me to tell Blaike everything?" he asked me once again.
I did not think twice before saying those words.
I regretted the words that came out of my mouth.
I did not expect it to come out of my mouth, and it would be my answer to that kind of question.
I regretted every single letter that I just said.
"Because I like Blaike,"
