CHAPTER 37
BLAIKE IVERSON'S POINT OF VIEW
I looked at Rod as he was walking in my direction. He seems thinking of something important.
"Did you order it from them?" I asked him as soon as he arrived on my spot.
I sat down on my chair properly...
"Yes!" He replied.
"How many men did you send to take a lot to them? Did you also give some money so that we could make sure his family would not starve?" I asked him.
I need to make sure that our promise to him would be granted. I always wanted to make sure that every promise I made would be fulfilled. I want to keep my promise no matter what.
As long as we needed him, we would do every promise that we would say to him. We need him, and he needed us, that is what's important.
We are just glad on the day of the assassination to him. He was not killed but, the killer missed the spot and he was still alive now. Because if he was killed that same day, it could have been difficult in doing this mission.
I could find any other way to do the mission. But this would be the easier way to do my mission and I would have to think harder to plan.
We also need to send his family some money so they could buy some food. Especially the kids, they need food to survive. And I won't let the kids suffer on what there father's mistake. I won't be heartless like Mr. Walson.
"I send 20 of our men to watch over them. And we would send 50, 000 every month for his family so they could buy some food for them. Also to support the child's needs, " he answered.
"Very good!" I praised him. "Follow me! We would talk to him, " I ordered him and stand up from my seat.
I walked out towards the room where Mr. Walson's men were being detained. I still didn't know his men even though he have captured him for at least four months now. And I would not be bothered trying to know. I would just be called "Mr. Walson's men", it would be more appropriate.
Rod was just following on my back while I was walking towards the room where he was chained. We chained his legs to the wall so he would try to escape. His chain was as long as he can go to the toilet. He had a couple of shirts to wear and also have his aircon in his room. We just wanted to make sure that he would be comfortable in here. Also to get his trust and spill all things that he knew from his boss.
He was the key to sending Mr. Walson to prison and making sure that he could not bail out from jail.
"Has he ever eaten lunch yet?" I asked him.
Because it was past 11:00 A.M and we finished eating earlier.
I just wonder if he was being treated in here right, while Rod and I were not visiting in here.
I wanted to see him give him some paper and a ballpen to write the other information he could give to us. That we could use against Mr. Walson that would help us to send him into prison. He was very important to us now because we are using his weakness to get some information.
As we reached the front door of the room where we destined him. Rod opened the door for me. I walked to the opposite side of his room where a chair is I am gonna be sitting. He could not reach me in this part of the room because he was chained.
I put the paper and ballpen and slide them towards him.
"Use this to write something about Mr. Walson that you are not still telling us. The information you have given to us weeks ago was true and useful, Mr. Walson does some transactions there. This paper and ballpen is the thing you are gonna use to write his next transaction, in this time we need your cooperation. We would be giving you one week to give us a piece of useful information, " I explained to him.
"I-I would try, " he utterly answered.
"Good!" I shortly replied and left the room together with Rod.
He opened the door for me and locked it once again.
"Guard him 24/7. And do everything that I ordered you to do, " he ordered to the two of my men that were watching Mr. Walson's men.
I just continued walking as he was trying to make some orders to them. I know he would follow me shortly after he was done talking to them.
I just continued walking toward my office and reviewed all the files that were given to me earlier. There was a ton of paperwork on my desk.
I sort the evidence that we are trying to gather for Mr. Walson and put it in one of the drawers beside me.
Then all the papers that were scattered on my desk I put them away. And put it on another table. So there would be no more files on my desk.
I get some wine and a goblet glass to drink. I sat down on my chair and pour the wine into my glass. I took a sip as I raised my two legs on the top of my desk.
I was just waiting for Rod because he would be also giving me the information he gathered about the life of Mr. Walson. I just wanted to know more about Mr. Walson besides that he is a rich smuggler. I also wanted to know about his life, family, parents, or anything that would be used against his weakness. Every detail of his life can be an important key for us to use against him.
Mr. Walson's men had done many things for us. Without him, we can not gather the video, picture, and information about Mr. Walson's human trafficking transaction. The files and evidence that we just collected are not yet enough for us to use against him.
At least we need to collect more videos, pictures, and CCTV footage. Also at least if he had a book that was written all the dates of his snuggling deals. Also, the list of his clients, how many people he had been sold yet, the identity of the people he sold, and also where he sold them. Also their secret hideout. On where they are stocking their drugs and hiding the people they are selling.
I didn't know that there is some people like him, that could hold their kind. He was a human like us, but how he can sell a human? Is he this heartless ever since? The person he is selling is also a human-like him. In this attitude, he is more like an animal, not a human.
He had inhuman behavior...
I can't believe that he could also sell some kids who still didn't know the meaning of cruelty.
How could he stand selling those innocent children?
How could he do that to the children?
Does he don't have a child so it was easy for him to sell to some people?
I was lost in my thoughts...
I didn't realize that Rod has already entered my office. I some pour some wine into the empty glass and handed it to him. Then we had our toast, we drank some wine. Before he spoke up.
"These are the files you ordered me to get, " he said as he placed the files on my desk.
I just took a glanced at it and took a sip of my wine and placed it on my table.
"Thank you!" I thanked him.
He just drank all the wine in his glass and put it on my table.
"I would get going, Blaike. There is still a lot of things I am gonna do that you ordered me to do, " he stated.
I just nodded at him and wait for him to leave.
I looked at the file that he had just placed on my table.
I began to look at Mr. Walson's files. It says here that his parents died when he was still 15 years old. He had no wife, no kids, he had never been married. He had been working on RCC (Rivera Corporation Company) as one of the board members.
"It was Amelia's company, " I whispered to myself.
It started here, that he had tons of properties all over the country, and also in different countries. He became a millionaire at the age of 35, because of his hard-worked.
He also once had a lover named "Elisa" but that girl died because of some human traffickers. Elisa was kidnapped but then killed by the human traffickers. After that Mr. Walson never tried to fall in love again.
I flip the pages and there was a familiar name that pop out. It was Mr. Walson's sister, "Aisha Iverson" that was her name.
"Aisha Iverson..."
That was my mother's name so I read more. Because maybe it was just a coincidence that my mother and sister had just the same name. There is also a name written here about his niece.
And the name written on here was...
"Blaike Iverson... " I started with a trembling voice. "Does that mean that Mr. Walson is my uncle?"
