Chapter Twenty

We spend maybe an hour touring the house, this place looked huge on the outside but when you get in, it's gigantic! He has like 5 bathrooms alone just upstairs! Many more bedrooms too, which I never get why people have that many bedrooms. Yes you need one for you obviously, if you want to have a spare room knock yourself out! But why does one person need like 12 bedrooms, am I missing something here because I don't get it! I was shattered due to me having basically zero sleep last night, so while Cody got some work done in his office downstairs I took a nap upstairs. In the worlds most comfiest bed! Well I don't know if it's the comfiest in the world, but it's sure as heck the comfiest I've ever slept in! As soon as my head hit that pillow, I fell to sleep instantly. I jolt awake to my phone ringing beside me, I groan rolling over to take it from the beside table. I probably wasn't going to answer it but I still wanted to see who was rude enough to wake me up, maybe curse their name just a little bit. I pick up the annoying noise rubbing my eyes so I could see who it was, once I look at the name realisation hits. I forgot I had to ring him when I arrived here, you probably know who I'm talking about but if for some reason you've forgotten, it's my dad. I sit up straight and start clearing my throat, I didn't want him to hear that I just woke up from a nap, he wouldn't want me to sleep on the job that he thinks I'm doing. I answer the phone holding to my ear, my dad speaking before I actually got the chance. "Erika! You were supposed to ring me when you arrived there, that was 5 hours ago!" My dad quite angrily says down the phone, wait it's been 5 hours, how long was I asleep for? "I know but it's been so crazy down here, they gave me a tour of the pack grounds and of the house I'm staying at, which side-note, you're making a lot of coin why don't we live in a mansion?" I ask kind of annoyed myself, I could have been living in a place like this years ago! "Stop getting off topic Erika this is important, you can't let those people get in your head by showing you all their extravagant possessions" my dad says starting to go on one of his mini rants, without answering my question which was kind of rude but hey ho. "I'm not letting them get in my head, you know the plan and so do I, but I can't just come in here and start asking a bunch of questions, I need to gain their trust first" I say which was a total fabrication, I wasn't planning on going against these people, I was on their side and not my dads "I'm having dinner with the Alpha, Beta and Martha tonight, there I can start slipping in my Parker charm and see where it gets me" I say resting my back against the headboard, dinner has to be soon I was actually very hungry, thinking about it, I haven't eaten today. "Just be careful, I knew I wouldn't like the feeling of me sending you off to them" he starts to say as the bedroom door opens and in walks Cody, he sends me a smile but clocks the phone in my hand. "I will be careful dad but I better get going, I don't want them catching me talking on the phone with you" I say trying to end the conversation while Cody, walks over sitting beside me on the bed. "You better ring me at this time tomorrow, I won't be waiting 5 hours before I storm that place" he warms me which just makes me roll my eyes, him and his want to storm places "stay safe" is all he says before hanging up the phone, good way to end a conversation dad. I pull the phone away from my ear and look towards Cody, he was just smiling at me while also shaking his head. "I'm sorry to inform you but I think I've just caught you" he smiles while I just give him a look, at first I had no idea what he was talking about but then I remember the conversation I had with my dad. "Oh darn, I'll take my punishment as long as it's not leaving this bed" I say pulling the blanket up higher, once again comfiest bed ever! "Oh no, I can think of many I can give you in this bed" he says smirking at me leaning in closer, I just roll my eyes as his choice of words "but that will have to wait until later, dinners in less than an hour" he informs me getting out of bed and going into a wardrobe, I just roll my eyes laying back down. A few moments later, he walks back out in a full suit, he looked hot! Wait is this a fancy dinner? I don't do fancy dinners, I'm more of take me to a random restaurant and see what we find there type of person. Plus I didn't take any of my clothes with me, this was a really spare of the moment thing. "It's not a posh dinner is it? I mean the only clothes I have are the ones I'm wearing!" I say which causes him to laugh and walk over to a second wardrobe, he opens the doors where I see a huge walk in wardrobe full with woman's clothes. "When Martha found out you were my mate, she demanded that she fill this wardrobe with clothes, apparently it's something she's always wanted to do but you always told her you liked the clothes you wear" he explains as I finally, get out of the bed and walk over to the wardrobe "so I gave her my credit card and told her to get whatever she wanted for you" he tells me as I start to look at labels of things, woah they were a lot of numbers. "Most of these pieces are way expensive" I say looking back at Cody who was just leaning against the door of the wardrobe "I'm good with like a £5 top from a random shop, see this hoodie it's not even mine" I say pulling the hoodie forward I was wearing, it was freezing this morning so I grabbed this and Cody's coat to keep me warm. "The price doesn't matter when it comes to you, I want you to feel as amazing as you can so if that's me spending a lot of money on you, so be it" he smiles walking into the wardrobe holding my hands in his, but takes a look at the hoodie with a weird expression "who's hoodie is that?" He asks holding the ends of the arm holes, I didn't actually know so I brung the hoodie up to my noise and sniffed. "Justin's" I say just knowing by the smell of it, half of my normal wardrobe is full of his and Reece's clothes, once they give me an item of clothing they don't get it back. Cody growls grabbing the bottom of the hoodie and pulling it up over my head, luckily I was wearing a vest top underneath. With that he turns and walks out the wardrobe, I follow behind where he opens the window and throws it out. "I liked that!" I say as he turns back to look at me smirking, oh it's time to get evil Erika. I send him a smirk looking to the door than back at him, I was fully intending on getting that back. You won't believe how long it took me to get my hands on that, it was one of Justin's favourites so he was very reluctant on giving it me. I bolt towards the door opening it a smidge before it's slammed crossed, I'm turned around before being pushed up against the door by Cody. "You will not be getting that back, the only man's clothing you are allowed to wear is mine, I'm the only person you're allowed to smell like" he growls his eyes going a shade darker as his spoke, I do love winding people up so I continue. "But Justin smells really nice, trust me I've been in that man's arms a lot, so I got a really good sniff" I say with a smirk, this causes Cody to get even angrier and growl even louder. In one swift movement, I'm now laying on the bed with him hovering above me. His eyes were even darker as he traps me under him, woah this has definitely taken a turn! But I still wasn't finished. "I've never been in this position with him before, wait have I? Actually there was that time-" I start to say but he cuts me off with an even louder growl that rocks the house slightly, is that even possible? "Don't tease me Erika" he growls now holding my arms against the bed, maybe I did take this a tad too far. "Okay fine I haven't anything like that with Justin, but come on you can't say you haven't with any girl?" I say giving him a look, he is mega hot it wouldn't surprise me if he's done it more than me! "No I haven't, I've waited for my mate, you" he tells me which immediately makes me start to feel bad, I have not. "In my defence I didn't know about you, if I did I wouldn't have got with anyone" I say trying to calm him down, as I thought he was catching on that I had done those things with men, but it actually does the opposite. "YOU'RE MINE" he growls loudly once again so close to my face, the books weren't lying when they said the males are possessive over their mates, I might have took this too far. "Please calm down, yes I have done those things with another man in the past, but it was only him as we were dating for awhile" I say trying my hardest to calm him down, I could tell he was beyond angry. "Tell me his name" he demands looking as though he wasn't calming down, this wasn't a big thing in my mind. "Why do you wanna know his name?" I ask trying to sit up but he pushes me back down, why is he insisting I tell him the dudes name?! "So I can kill him" he blatantly says which takes me by full surprise "he touched what is mine, nobody has the right to touch my mate in that manner but me" he growls out which just makes me roll my eyes, all this over a hoodie! "Even if you wanted to, you aren't getting near him, he's in prison for reasons I am not disclosing" I say with a smile, with the way Cody's acting it's the best place for him to be honest "just think, you'll be the only man from now on who I'll be doing that with" I say trying to make him look on the bright side, I managed to wiggle my hand out of his and place it on his cheek. "He's long gone I promise, if I knew about you back then I wouldn't have gone near that idiot" I say rubbing my thumb over his cheek, it says in books that a wolfs mate can calm them down with just the touch of them. He leans into my touch closing his eyes, once he opened them again, his bright blue eyes were back. I send him a smile as he kind of melts into me, actually laying on top of me. I feel him start to calm down as he lay there. Maybe I shouldn't have done that, now I'm gonna have to wait longer until I can eat!
