Unity's Undead
Aria returned to Sue's ward. She heard conversation in the room and pushed the door open with a bang. Her eyes dimmed when she realized it was just Jerry talking to another patient. But this was a private room; she frowned at the back of the intruder.
Sinbad inhaled the intoxicating scent; he knew who had entered. Yet somehow he couldn't turn around to face her. He had heard the full details of what happened from his father. To say he was shocked would be an understatement. He had long been suspicious of his ability to read aura, but he never imagined it was because his biological mother was a witch. And she was the reason Aria's sister is in the hospital and unconscious.
He didn't have to turn around because Aria walked over to face him.
"Oh, I was wondering who it was," she said drily. "Why are you here?"
"I... I needed to see you and apologize."
He had a cast around his neck, but aside from that, his injuries had healed very quickly. Aria frowned.
"Apology not accepted; you can leave."
Jerry handed her a bowl of rice. After seeing Sinbad's face, her previous appetite was gone; she set the food aside and arranged Sue's blanket. Sinbad stood behind her, boring a hole into her back.
Aria moved mechanically with a slight discomfort and a heap of annoyance.
"Didn't you hear what I said?" She asked quietly. She turned her head slightly. "Please, use the door."
"Can you at least give me a chance to explain?"
"I don't want to hear it."
"Please, Aria."
"Fine, let's go," she stood up. She spoke to Jerry. "I'll be back in a minute."
If she didn't want him disturbing Sue, she wouldn't have spoken to him, even if he begged on his knees. She hadn't been in love with him before, but there had been an attraction. It lessened when they had been wrongly imprisoned, but she hadn't hated him. But now she felt an immense resistance and impatience towards him. She just didn't know why.
As soon as they reached a relatively quiet place, she demanded impatiently, "Speak."
Sinbad was at a loss on how to deal with this. He hadn't expected a warm welcome, but he didn't expect to be treated so coldly either.
"I'm sorry," he apologized again.
Aria didn't reply, but her expression did say his apology was useless.
Sinbad took a deep breath and sighed; he might as well get to the reason for his visit.
"My father will be handing over the pack to me in a month's time. When he does, I'll need a Luna, my mate, by my side..." He gauged her reaction, but her face gave nothing away.
"... You are my mate," he concluded. He waited in silence for what felt like an eternity.
When Aria finally spoke, her words were cold. "You're really funny."
She raised a brow. "What did you expect my answer to be? That I would kiss your feet the moment you offered, or I would be delirious with joy? Don't make me laugh!"
"Mate? That word means absolutely nothing to me! I'm not a werewolf, remember? That pull or bond or whatever you call it has no effect whatsoever on me."
"Now tell me, what do you think my answer is?"
Sinbad clenched his fist. He knew it wouldn't be easy, but she didn't even give him a chance. "You can't reject me!" He stated firmly.
"Or else what? You'll force me to mate with you?" She looked utterly disgusted. Sinbad's expression cracked.
"I'm not afraid of you. Perhaps because you were unconscious during the fight with your mother, you do not know what I'm capable of!"
"Heir Apparent!" A voice thundered down the hospital hallway.
A muscular figure ran towards them and bowed. "Heir Apparent, we're under attack!"

Garsam inspected the school building. The framework for the first floor was nearly complete. She nodded at the workers and left. Her job as an overseer was actually just to show her face every now and then. They really wouldn't dare to make the Princely Heir do menial work.
She entered her room and shut the door.
"Scar?" She called out. No reply. Same as yesterday and the day before! As a matter of fact, since their fight with Virgo, she had been unable to speak to him! She also couldn't shift. No matter how hard she tried. Her claws could elongate just fine, and when she pushed fur would appear on her arms and legs, but the final part could not be done. Was Scar gone?
She had never heard of anyone losing their wolf. Owing to the fact that her Pack's biology was different, they couldn't relate to wolves of other packs, but even then, within her pack, she had never heard of someone being unable to speak to their wolf or shift.
She wasn't panicked. By Selena's words, she would be dead soon, and all traces of her existence would be wiped off, so it didn't matter. She was just curious as to how it happened.
Her ears twitched, picking up a sound. Bang! There was shuffling of feet. She frowned. Were the workers fighting?
She stepped out of her room and towards the sound of conflict.
When she got there, her eyes narrowed in caution. A few workers were down, the ground was stained with blood.
"What happened?" She pulled up one that was still conscious.
"We... were- A lot of people attacked us... very strong... killed some..." His voice faded, and his eyes stared behind her, unseeing.
She closed his eyes and lay him down. She raised her head and took a whiff of air. Her nose instinctively rejected the foul stench, and she coughed. She knew that stench all too well. How did those rotten bastards find them!
Her ears picked up on battle, and she ran towards it. Just as she expected, she saw the corpse people. There were about forty to fifty of them. The pack warriors and a few of her Royal Pack's men were engaged in battle against them. Unfortunately, as a corpse was torn down, it simply rose and continued fighting. The werewolves were falling, but the corpse people still remained.
She heard a loud scream, and several corpses were blown high into the air. They fell and shattered into pieces.
Garsam grinned; Aria was busy, there was no way she would remain idle. She jumped into the fray and punched a corpse person. Its head exploded, and it fell without rising again.
"Aim for their heads," she called to the fighters.
With her and Aria's assistance, the fight ended quickly.
