Explosion

It's a week since the crash happened and things have been going okay, nothing else has happened regarding Rupert. My mother on the other hand hasn't stopped trying to contact me, I know exactly what she's going to say and I really don't feel like having that conversation. Oh Erik is doing great by the way, he had to have some major surgery on his foot but they managed to save it! He'll just need to heal for a few weeks than he'll be back to his normal self, it couldn't have got better than that! It means he is off work for a few weeks which gave Gray the excuse to give me time off, so for a few weeks I don't have to go out the castle on duties. Gray likes to tell me it's because me and Erik are such a good team, it would be a shame for me to work with someone else. I knew it was mostly because of Rupert being on the loose, but honestly I'm okay with not doing duties as that would mean getting in a car, even the thought of that freaks me out a little, Daisy thinks I've got ptsd from the accident. Gray was out on a few of his duties which meant I was somewhat alone, since the accident Gray insists that I have a guard with me at all times when he's gone. I could do what I wanted with the guard following a few feet behind me, so it wasn't too much at the minute. Daisy was due the castle today, she was normally here daily but today she was running late. This meant I was insanely bored at the moment, all I could do was pace up and down waiting for her. "I can sense how bored you are" Gray's voice fills my head, since we're fully mated we can mind-link whenever we want, he likes to check in a few times when he's working. "No I'm not bored at all, just walking down these same halls is just riveting!" I reply being utterly sarcastic, I've started to count how many steps it takes me to walk through a room I've been through them so much, there's nothing new for me to see. "I will be home soon my love, we just need to finish up this last meeting" he tells me as a butler makes his way over, he explains Daisy was waiting for me in the lobby and refused to come up, that's strange. I follow the butler down to the lobby where Daisy stood, she looked nervous just playing with her hands. I know she's a nervous person but she seems much more confident here now. I start to make my way down the stairs which finally catches her attention, she looks up at me her face just holding fear. As I reach the bottom of the stairs she puts a fake smile on her face, somethings off here. "Hey Clara, you know it's such a nice day why don't we have some lunch in the building at the front?" She asks but was shaking her head as she spoke, I give her a weird look as she did so. Was she trying to tell me something? Why ask me if I want to have lunch but shake your head while asking? "No thank you Daisy, I've actually just eaten" I say suspecting she wanted me to say no, I still had no idea what she was getting at. "Oh Clara, you can eat again" she smiles but continuously shakes her head, why is this person giving me mixed signals?! "Daisy are you okay, you're acting strange?" I ask raising an eyebrow, she shakes her head her face immediately changing. "It's Rupert he's-" she starts to speak but immediately the sound of a huge explosion erupts from outside. Flames just engulf the outside of the castle, the glass doors and windows immediately smash where at the same time I'm thrown backwards into the wall. I land with a thud on the floor which was just black from the smashed windows and the smoke pouring into the building. "Gray, explosion.....fire" I manage to mind-link him before I immediately start to cough my guts up, the smoke just continues to barrel in through the windows and doors. I could faintly hear Gray's voice but the ringing in my ears was so intense that I couldn't make out what he was saying. I lay staring at the ceiling waiting for the ringing to subside, as I'm looking up the ceiling is blocked by the guard I was with hovering over me. He too starts saying things that at first I couldn't hear, but slowly the ringing fades where I can actually hear what's happening around me. "Your majesty, don't move we need to make sure you're not injured" he tells me but runs off to get someone, as I begin to look around at the chaos, the beautiful lobby was just in shambles. Black smoke filled the room causing everyone to cough and splutter, people were laying on the floor with others trying to help them. The front of the building was just all smashed, the whole roof had caved in on itself blocking the entrance. People were screaming while pulling huge rocks out the way, I hope no ones trapped under there. I look over and see Daisy laying on the floor screaming , I attempt to sit up using my arm but immediately it hurt. Her screaming got way more intense which just tells me I need to get to her now! I roll over managing to get on knees and stand that way, I run over to where she was just screaming in pain. "Daisy it's me, what's wrong just tell me?" I shout reaching to touch her but she screams at me not too. "Silver Clara, he put liquid silver on me that's exploded" she cries just rolling around on the floor, now I know her skin was burning from the silver. "I need help! She's had liquid silver thrown over her!" I shout turning to see if anyone would help me, as soon as I said the word help people were already running over. My guard soon returns telling me I needed do leave, Daisy pleads for me to stay where she was still laying on the floor in pain, I turn to my guard shaking my head. "I can't leave her like this, there has to be something to stop the silver from burning?" I ask the people who were all stood around us. "The people who can help are trying to get in ma'am, but due to the explosion so much of the entrances are blocked off, we're trying ma'am" he tells me looking down at Daisy, I can't just sit here and allow her to go through this pain. "We need to wash this silver off her, I need you all to collect buckets of water and continually go back and fourth washing this off her" I tell the group of people, they all begin to run to get water while my guard remained with me. In no time they arrive back, where one after the other they begin to pour water onto Daisy. She was still crying in pain but I could tell it was helping with every bucket, this continues for a few minutes as bunch of people appear behind us with medical bags. "She has liquid silver covering her entire body, quick you need to help her!" I shout to the medics that run over to us, they immediately run to Daisy while one comes to my side for my arm but I stop them, they need to focus on Daisy. "Clara! Clara!" I hear Gray's voice, I look up to see him running down what used to be the stairs and over to me "are you injured?" He asks as I spot Josh behind him, who was immediately beside Daisy. "I got thrown against the wall and hurt my arm, but Daisy's been covered in liquid silver they need to help her" I tell him turning back around to look at her, she'd stopped screaming but still crying. "She is getting the help that she needs but I need to focus on you, you are injured my love I need to get you out of here" Gray tells me taking a hold of my hand but I shake my head. "I can't leave her Gray it's my fault, Rupert did this because I'm here!" I cry as I begin to think of my arm, which was now beginning to cause me a great deal of pain, I hold onto it crying out looking at the floor. "I don't know how long that ceilings gonna hold for, if you can get out!" Some guy shouts looking at everyone, people begin to be carried out while I remained in place. "This is not your fault, now either you come with me willingly for help or I will carry you out, you are my mate which means you are my priority" Gray tells me lifting my head up to look at him "Daisy is getting the help she needs, you also need help, come on" he tells me holding my face in his hands. I look back at Daisy than turn to him, I nod allowing him to pick me up in his arms and carry me away. I place my head on his chest as we went.
