Chapter 18 Car Trip
"Although, I must say." He dropped my hands and shrugged awkwardly, "We need to keep this as a secret. Please don't tell this to anyone."
"Sure.Sure." I grinned, brushing him off playfully. I grabbed my car keys from my front pocket and pointed at him, "We're going to her apartment right now."
"Wha-?" He asked, "What do you mean-"
"Follow me, okay?" I stood up, paying the food we ate and left the shop.
"But I didn't bring my car-"
"Better." Turning around, I gave him a smile. "You're coming with me. We need to explain this to her right now."
"Wha-?"
I pulled him using his elbows and shoved him in my car. "SEAT BELTS!" I screamed as I walk towards the driver's seat.
"Let's go!" I shouted, driving towards Beth's apartment.

"So you like this guy who likes someone else?" Dean asked, taking a sip from his Mountain Dew.
"No." I shook my head, "I love this guy who loves someone else."
"Right..." He nodded, "Eyes on the road, Vanch."
"Oh right, right." I laughed, "Eyes on the right."
I looked straight and sighed silently. We're currently in the middle of nowhere but still is the right road towards Beth's apartment.
My phone beeped.
I picked it up and answered the call, "Haloo?"
"Vanch, hey."
Charlie...
I can't ignore him forever, no matter how hard I'd try after all
"What...?" I muttered silently,
"I'm sorry, I really am."
"Yeah, sure, whatever."
"Vanchel..."
"Charlie..." I mocked him, "Whatever. Like seriously, whatever. Normally, I should've been used with your lies by now. Really."
"...." He went silent, making me snort.
I smirked, "Too much?"
"I said I was sorry!" He whinned, "I really am sorry, Vanch."
"Sure, it's alright." I chuckled. He really is a brat I tell ya.
"So... where are you?"
I raised an eye brow and faced Dean. Please don't tell this to anyone. Sighing inside, I bit my lower lip and lied. "Home."
"... Really?"
"Yup." I said, popping the 'p'.
"Oh really?"
"Yessss." I emphasized the 's'. Dean frowned before pointing at the road. I cleared my throat, "Look, I got to go."
"What? But I thought you're in your house? You're not usually busy-"
"Bye." I muttered, forcing to cut the phone call off.
"That was prince Charming, I suppose?" Dean asked.
"Yeah..." I sighed before settling with a comfortable silence. Except for the stereo blasting random music.
"By the way, Dean." I faced him, "You're a flirt."
"Thanks." He grinned, showing off his pearly white complete set of teeth.
He's an underground fighter, how can he keep those intact?
"It wasn't a compliment." I frowned.
"Oh, I know." He chuckled.
Idiot.
"I can't believe that she lives so far from the city." I heard Dean muttered, "But then again, she never liked the city noise."
"That's Beth for you." I chuckled, tapping my fingers on the wheel with the beat as Let Me Hear by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, blasted in my stereo. (IT'S THE PARASYTE: THE MAXIM'S opening)
You just do not notice that we are gifted just for being humans,
We are absolute predators we do not even have any enemies maybe there's an animal that's watching us,
Thinking that, someday we will beat them dooooooooown.
I nodded with the rythym. Dammit, I loved the anime, and I loved this song. I LOOOOVE IT!
"That at a point where we're born, we are..." I paused, "WE'RE NOT SO BAAAAAD!"
I stared at Dean as I screamed, "IIIIII KEEP CALLING OUT TO YOU! MAYBE ONE DAY I'LL MEET YOU TO WHERE YOU'VE ENDED UP." I shouted louder, "BUT FOR NOW, I'LL HOLD MY ARM WITH THE MEMORY OF YOU, STANDING BESIIIDE MEEEEE!" I looked up and sighed.
Why won't you let me hear, Charlie?
"Eyes on the road, VANCH!"
Staring ahead, I screamed louder than ever.
And everything went black. Well this is cliché.
