Chapter 19 Who?
My eyes fluttered open, and immediately closed it again.
Damn.
"Vanchel?"
I blinked before settling my sight to Charlie. I watched silently as my sight focuses on him, with a man behind him. Felipe?
I sat up but immediately fell down.
Have I been eating too much lately?
"Stay, lie down." Charlie took my hand and was about to say something when I shook my head and told him that I want to sit up.
Felipe walked towards us and pressed a button, making my bed to slowly sit up.
"Charlie..." It came out raspy, making me shut my mouth and tried swallowing some saliva.
"Here, here." He immediately sat up, grabbing something beside me -a cup. He gave it to me and with no objections, I drank the water.
"What happened?" I asked, wiping my wet mouth. I frowned when I saw that there's this transparent tube on my hand.
I now realize something so obvious. With the white walls, white sheets, white door, heck, even Felipe's dressed up in white and that only means two things.
Someone's getting married.
Or I'm in a hospital.
And with the tube in my hand, I have a feeling that it's the latter.
"I..." Scrunching my eyes, I looked up amd studied Charlie's face. He doesn't look like his usual self. He haven't shaved his face for probably a week or something, there are large dark circles under his eyes and he looks thinner than usual.
How many days have I stayed in this state?
"Vanch," Charlie smiled, "Where were you going...?"
Even with that obvious unbrushed teeth and a really smelly breath, he still looks gorgeous.
Not being able to answer his question immediately, I realized something I should've realized earlier -other than the hospital thingy, that is.
"I don't remember anything." I muttered silently.
Charlie's lips pursed and he looked down. Felipe walked towards me and asked, "What's the last thing you've remebered before passing out?"
"Nothing."
"Focus Vanchel."
Closing my eyes, I inhaled deeply and slumped back.
They say that your life will flash before your eyes before the moments you die, but I guess my experience was different.
"I love you, Vanch." Were the words that rung in my ears, making me realize that... I may or may not be dead right now
I opened my eyes and felt my blood rushing in my head and the heart monitor to beat fastly. Oh my gosh.
"Nothing." Nothing important. Just me hallucinating and all.
Felipe raised an eye brow, looking at the heart monitor with curiousity but he kept silent.
Breath in. Breath out.
Not too long later, my heart beat slowed down and returned back to normal.
"But..." I spoke up, "It seems as if..."
"Dean..." I muttered, "Are you... ALRIGHT?!"
I look at my surroundings and silently gasped when there were pieces of shattered glass everywhere, and a huge smoke coming from in front of me.
"Dean..?" I asked before starting to feel light headed.
"As if..." I continued, "I was in an accident."
Felipe nodded as Charlie squeezed my hand.
"What happened?" I asked, "Why am I here?"
Felipe stood up and walked towards me. "You got in a car crash with-"
"-alone. And you're injured." Charlie finished what he was saying.
"Oh..." I frowned, "But where was I going-"
"Shh..." Charlie cutted me off. He pushed a button making half of my bed to lower down, making me lie down. "Rest. Sleep."
I nodded, feeling tired and all. "But..."
"Shh..." He smiled.
Closing my eyes, one question lingered in my mind.
Who's Dean?
