Morgath's POV
Just as I was still thinking about those that would help out, and those that would be on the same page as I am, Isolde stormed The hut. She was the daughter of Elder Clatus, the former strategist of the Silver Moon Pack, a perfect weapon for our mission.
She had been the one giving us all the information we needed concerning the pack, but through Seraphina as her father, Elder clatus was a member of the council. But as we speak, he has been locked up in the dungeon, no place for the living. With that, she has all the reasons to join hands together and get revenge.
I have no fear that she would deliver effectively, she was just the right passion we needed for the job. She would be losing nothing if eventually we fail, as all she ever cared for has been taken away from her.
Isolde wasn't just like any other wolves in Silver Moon Pack, she was destined to be a powerful and talented witch, but her pack never valued what they have. They never accepted witches or sorcerers in their midst. We were despised all over the pack, seen as outcast, but they would always come to us for divination.
"I'll end him. I'll end them all," she said out loud as she entered my hut, her presence already stirring up things in the hut because of her anger. Her eyes were filled with malice, ancestral grudge, all gathered and waiting to achieve her aim. "Jaxon and that pathetic Liora will pay, they can't go free after all they made me and my family to pass through."
Her eyes landed on Darius, a look of disdain evident on her face. "You think he's a better vessel, can we trust him, Morgath? He's nothing good, but a broken dog obviously searching for his next meal. He might be working for them for all I care."
Darius growled, charging closer toward her, but I stopped him by raising my hand to stop him. The last energy we needed was not to be invested in fighting. "Darius has a purpose he would serve, everything has been planned. And if we could cooperate well, we would have no issues defeating them."
Her dry lips curled into a sinister smile. "Let's see if Jaxon will withstand what we are bringing to his desk now."
The arrival if the Sorcerers from the North
But Isolde and Darius won't be the only ones I would be working with, they won't be enough. To truly perfect our plans, and defeat the Silver Moon Pack, I needed nothing less than the magic that could obliterate everything they are known for. That's where I had to bring in the three sorcerers, well seasoned sorcerers from the northern territories , who had been in the game for the longest time. Not only powerful, but ancient, and their skills in dark arts speak volumes about them. I knew without being told that they were the key, the exact energy I needed to break the bond the Moon Goddess formed with the Silver Moon Pack.
The three sorcerers, as usual, arrived not in the day, but in the dead of night. Their cloaks wire nothing but testimonies of shimmering dark magic. They were the true definition of everything in darkness, their faces void of smiles, but obscured by shadows. But I knew they were the right energy for the job. I could even feel their power emitting uncontrollably from them, and for the first time, my hopes went high again. This was the time for us to succeed, they were the right ingredients for that to come to pass."
"The great master Morgath," one of them hailed me, a tall sorcerer, with bulged eyes that glowed, its fire like coals, was the first to speak. "We've witnessed the power which is emanating from the Moon Goddess, the one that has been protecting the Silver Moon. But there's still hope for us, it can be undone, and even destroyed. We didn't come empty handed, we made sure to come with the necessary magic to do it, but it requires more numbers than those you are seeing."
"We won't fail to do the necessary things that need to be done," the second sorcerer chipped in, and it was a woman, and her voice was more like the wind itself. But I have noticed something, for us to succeed, we must break the bond between Jaxon and Liora, find a way to sow seeds of discord, that's the key. If we can do our best and break it, the rest will easily fall apart and follow suit. We need to do everything before the full moon appears."
The third but last sorcerer, a tiny figure but with sharp eyes, spoke in a very low voice equal to the statue, yet a dangerous voice. "You've done well this time in choosing your allies, Morgath. And I believe we have no course to fail this time around, we won't get less than we expected."
"Failure can never be accepted as an option," I growled convincingly. "I have sacrificed a lot just for this moment. Silver Moon will have no option but to fall. We will rip them off their belongings, all they had worked for."
The sorcerers nodded to my long speech, their power was ready for action but being suppressed by the processes involved. The ritual, which would be used to break the ancient bond between Jaxon and his mate, Liora, that which would be used to shatter the artifacts' power, would be more than difficult to break, but with resilience, and practice, it would eventually give way.
The big plan
We gathered to plan, but it was around a large table carved from a stone, the air filled with curiosity and anticipation. The sorcerers wasted no time in lunging to the business of the day, all chanting in ancient and foreign tongues, their hands meticulously invisible weaving symbols in the air. Darius and Isolde stood at attention, but it leaves.stood beside me, their faces filled with dark determination.
"The plan is very simple," I said, with a low and menacing voice. "We'll make sure to strike at the very heart of the Silver Moon. We'll not miss to break their unity, break their bond, and of course we'll take what belongs to us."
"We are going to attack tomorrow night," Darius added, nonchalantly, his hand resting on the hilt of his blade. "Once we wait for the full moon to rise, they'll be at their lowest, as they would be celebrating. We'll make sure to catch them off guard and of course, tear them apart."
Isolde sneered angrily. "Jaxon and Liora would be busy playing lovers and won't know what hit them. We will definitely be their downfall."
The sorcerers nodded in agreement, their chants growing even more louder. Their magic continued to swirl around us, the power building and forming walls like a storm on the horizon.
The Sacrifice
But there was only one final piece to the puzzle to be solved. The Moon Goddess had in her graciousness, granted Jaxon and Liora an incredible strength, and in order for us to penetrate them and undo that strength, we would do something great, we need to perform a big sacrifice—a very powerful one. Only then could we boast of breaking the bond finally.
"I know exactly what we need to do to undo everything," I said, my voice lacking empathy but cold with resolve. "The sacrifice is something that would be made at the peak of the full moon. We'll take one of their own, a loved member of their pack—someone very close to them—and of course, offer them to the goddess as the price. It will cover up all the necessary requirements of sacrifices, and would break their bond and undo of course, it would also undo the power of the artifacts."
The sorcerers did not waste time to nod, and Isolde's smile widened, gradually twisting with dark delight. "We'll take someone , perhaps a precious pack member, loved by them all and use it as the sacrifice. We'll make them wait and watch as their loved one has been taken forcefully, and then we'll sit back and observe them crumble."
The time was very close and near. The Silver Moon Pack would be lost rejoicing, having no idea of what was heading to their direction. Morgath, Darius, Isolde, and the sorcerers would bring the storm.
Seraphina's POV
The dark shadows brewing around the forest seemed to surround me, a constant and terrible reminder of my past and the terrible choices I had made that are tormenting me. I had been foolish, allowing myself to be drunk and heavily driven by pride and jealousy, but now, my eyes are clear and I could see the full extent at which the chaos I had helped create had gone. And it was all coming back to me crashing down.
I had overheard the new sorcerers that arrived discuss, their dark plans swirling in my mind as it had no good intentions, it was like a storm. Morgath, the master planner, Darius, Isolde, and the others—they were planning a heavy attack. They had found every possible way to break Jaxon and Liora's bond finally, and would take everything from them. They would tear carefully tear them apart, the Silver Moon Pack not excluded, and I couldn't sit back, doing nothing and let it happen this time. Not again, not under my watch. I need to do something better, at least for once.
