Seraphina's POV
I stood fearlessly before Morgath, the great sorcerer of dark magic. I was not sure of what I was feeling was fear or determination, but one thing I knew was that I won't be backing out until I achieve revenge. The cave had poor lighting; the lights were too dim to even see the face of the one you would interact with in the cave. Everywhere was strangely quiet with the only sound heard been the echoes of dripping water. The air inside the cave was damp, filled with the smell of ancient spells. Morgath leaned backwards on whatever he was sitting in, his eyes focused on me.
'I've come, oh great Morgath to seek for your service," I said with all the boldness I could muster. 'Jaxon has abandoned me, ditching me for a lowlife, an insignificant Omega, and right now, all his attention is on Liora. His environment doesn't matter to him anymore, as he's too occupied to notice any major changes. I need to strike now in his vulnerable state. He won't be suspecting anything as he's distracted. And that's why I am here. I desire to regain my position as the Luna of Silver Moon Pack. I was this close to being in that position, but Liora showed up again. It's only you that can help me get back to power."
Morgath chuckled rather too darkly. 'Ah, Seraphina Silverclaw! You never give up, do you? You have always been shown how ambitious you can be in everything. But it would be fair enough to let you know this, ambition is great, but it comes at a huge price." He took a few steps closer, his breath almost suffocating me. 'I am ready to assist you, that's all I do, help. But you must sacrifice something. Your loyalty! Your loyalty is of tremendous importance if you must achieve your aim. You are lucky that you won't be doing this alone. Darius will be here to help, he's on the same mission as you. To make it easier, I did advise that you two collaborate."
I glanced to an edge of the cave, and as if waiting for the moment, Darius emerged, and before Morgath, we both stood by for the next command. I watched Darius with the corner of my eyes, but I could not get a glimpse of his expression. Likewise, I recognized him after a few minutes. He was the ostracized werewolf. The dim light made it impossible before. If Darius was exiled out of the pack, and he's back for revenge, then he's the perfect partner that I needed for this operation.
'What other things do I need to give to have my mission accomplished? I am ready to pay for whatever it would take." I asked nervously.
Morgath smirked. 'It's a simple task. Your loyalty is required. You pledge your loyalty to me, and you reclaim the power that rightfully belongs to you. You won't be doing that alone, as Darius would be a great project mate. I am willing to give you all the power you would be needing to get Jaxon back for yourself and permanently erase Liora from the picture."
Darius moved closer to me, with the aim to coerce me into agreeing. From the look of things, it seemed he had been there for long, waiting for a partner before starting his revenge plans. 'Seraphina, this is a great opportunity, think of it. With Morgath's power, you won't be losing anything. You will have the privilege to not only win Jaxon over to yourself, but you would also eliminate Liora from the picture, and all the respect and love they showered on Liora would all come to you."
I paused. This looked too good to be true. The thought of being in control because of a new-found power was a tempting offer, but could I possibly trust them? The price seemed too small for the power. Loyalty?
'Fine then, I'm in." I finally agreed. 'I'll do whatever it would take to give me the desired results. I pledge my allegiance to you."
'Excellent choice," Morgath purred with a wicked grin. 'No need to waste time again, we start. You would soon become the leader you were rightfully meant to be. It's only a matter of time, and all our enemies would come crumbling at our feet."
Not long after I made the pact, I felt something very gloomy enveloping me. It was deep energy. I had pledged my loyalty to its master; therefore, it came to possess me as part of them. I am now a family. My new family, and there's no turning back on this path.
Darius's POV
I watched Seraphina, the ever ambitious lady, make her pledge to Morgath. She showed up here for almost the same purpose as me. The only difference was that she wishes to wipe out just a few wolves and become the leader of the rest, with Jaxon by her side as her Alpha. She desperately wants the position of Luna, but mine was different. It was the same in the sense that I want revenge, but mine is darker as I won't be sparing anyone. As she plans to rule by Jaxon's side, I aspire to destroy Jaxon and leave no trace of him. And luckily, Morgath is here to help, I have nothing to lose again as I had been banished unfairly.
'Welcome to our little circle of family, Seraphina," I said with a grin. 'With Morgath's magic, you have nothing to lose. Be rest assured that both Jaxon and Liora will soon be on their knees. You would be in charge, just as you have always wanted. We will create the best alliance."
I glanced at Seraphina, and I could sense she was more determined than ever. Silver Moon Pack does not know what would soon befall them. Great darkness is about to cover the whole of the pack, even spread across.
Morgath's POV
As two overly ambitious souls, controlled by revenge, stood before me, I could not help but feel on top of the world. This is my time to shine. I would ensure to exhaust the opportunity without looking back. They are now on my web, and they won't be released ever again. Pawns in my game of power. That's what I would turn Seraphina and Darius into. We all desired vengeance on those that wronged us, but from the look of things, many would still not escape being hurt. I desire to oversee all the werewolf races, but would do that without lifting the pin, but through Seraphina and Darius.
'Now, let the fun begin! Jaxon to the fall!" I screamed my lungs out.
A storm is cooking right here in my cave, for the stubborn members of Silver Moon Pack. No one, not even those I helped with it were able to stand up for me. They all left me to my fate, to be banished from the pack.
I gave Seraphina and Darius an ominous offer of dark power, and they accepted without looking back. What else can't desperately struggle for power won't do. I had been planning, but waiting for just the right time to strike, now is the appointed hour.
I began weaving my black magic. Bit by bit, I work on it. Furthermore, I aim at setting Silver Moon Pack ablaze. Yes, I would start from them, then spread it to other packs, and finally, the entire werewolf race would be mine to rule with an iron hand and black magic. Once I weaken the Silver Moon Pack, the leaders would crawl to me to make a pact, but I won't bulge an eye, they never listened to my plea. I would announce, if you want to live, you would have to pledge your allegiance to me.
Many would come crawling to my feet with the offer of loyalty. I would pick up as many as possible, mold them into an indomitable force, and I would spread them into different packs to take charge. One after the other, they would enter different packs, blend in, and I will strike. With that, I would be in charge. No healer will be able to remove my dark wizardry from the land, and I would be untouchable.
At the fullness of time, when the whole werewolf race would be under me, I will rule with iron hands, and the greatest of my kind that ever existed.
I continued doing incantations non-stop. I need to fortify my wizardry against every defense that would forever exist. I desire to sap power from different ancient magics. I have buried my eyes in books for years, discovering new paths, unusual vigor and advanced knowledge, living the life of spell making.
I sensed the magic. Yes, I could perceive it, ready to be unleashed from the pot of darkness into the walls of Silver Moon Pack, to weaken the pack first, and if they refuse to surrender, I would send the last one; destruction spells.
Seraphina's POV
I stood before Morgath for the second, after my pledge of loyalty. It was time for fortification, and I could feel it flowing through my veins. The current was high, and it thrilled me by the art of magic. "What step are we?" I asked Morgath even though I knew what it was. I wanted him to repeat, and perhaps, give me a run-down of when we would commence. Likewise, I can't wait to launch immediately.
'Merely at the pre-reinforcement stage, you can't face the forces in the Silver Moon Pack without this pre-stage power. This would make your aura irresistible once you enter the pack and the Silver Moon Pack would be ripe in no time for the taking," Morgath replied, with a sinister smile. His smiles since my arrival at this place had always been dark, and I love darkness. That's the energy I need to pave my way to the top. 'Don't forget your major work; you are to help to keep Jaxon and Liora distracted while I push my magic to do what it knows how to do best. After fortification, we weaken them, and when the time is right, we will strike."
'I am very much in the game," I declared with excitement, loving the plan already. 'I will see that Jaxon feels great pain. He would lose everything he so cherishes, starting from Liora. I want to punish him before taking him back, and he would have no option than to follow every lead. Your dark magic would overshadow Jaxon's pack, and he would be powerless to help." A surge of magical powers came rushing through me, boiling up from the inside, so I set out, as commanded by Morgath, toward the borders of the mountain at the cave and the Silver Moon Pack. Mysterious magic is coming, vulnerability is taking place, destruction is coming!
