Chapter Sixty-Three

Around an hour later, Austin and I were back in his car heading towards the seafront again. I feel like this is all I have done recently, just drive to and from the same places over and over again. We had both gone over the plan with Jacob and I felt confident, that we both knew what we had to do. The car was silent as we sat there, I think we were trying to come to terms with what we had just learnt, Austin more than me. While also, worrying if a certain part of this plan falls through, which is something we cannot let happen! 'I still don't understand how you were able to hide what you were doing from me for so long, either you're really good or I don't pay attention" Austin says breaking the silence, I look over at him laughing as he looked back at the road. 'I did it to keep you safe and I knew what you would have said if I would have told you, I'm sorry I kept it from you, I hope you're not too angry" I say looking over at him with a tiny smile, I would understood fully if he was angry that I kept it from him. 'Angry, how can I be angry when I'm so proud of you?" He says looking right back at me, this does make me calm down a little knowing that he wasn't mad. 'But let's be honest, I also couldn't tell you because I didn't think you'd be as great of an actor as I am" I say pushing my hair off my shoulder smirking, obviously I was only joking. 'No you're right, I'd be so much better" he says joining the joke while I just roll my eyes, if he saw the things I have these last few months, he wouldn't have wanted to say that! I smile before turning my head back to the window, where my mind instantly goes to Roman and what we had learnt before we left for this place. I feel a hand take my leg which makes me look away, I turn to look at Austin who was sending me a soft smile. 'I know what you're thinking about or who for that matter, but you don't have to worry about anything Payton. I know how much of a huge shock this is, but it doesn't change anything. I'm still going to look after and love unconditionally, you and that baby in your belly no matter what" he says which almost made tears prick my eyes, I shake the tears away putting my hand on his that was still on my leg and giving it a little squeeze. 'You'll never know what you saying all this really means to me" I smile looking over at him, he sends me one back before looking at the road again. 'I'm not just saying this Payton, I mean and will do every single thing I'm telling you that I will" he says smiling, but before I could respond to the sweet thing he said, the carpark soon comes into view. 'This has to go well, we have no idea what the outcome will be if everything doesn't go exactly according to plan" I say as he finds a parking space and stops, my heart was beating out of my chest as the moment creeped up. 'You don't have to worry anymore Payton, now I know exactly what's going on, all you need to do is stay by my side and you'll be fine" he says taking ahold of my hand again, I take a deep breath in nodding my head before placing a kiss on his lips as a thank you. 'I'll never get used to that" he smiles looking over at me while I roll my eyes, I nod before we both climb out of the car and head to the boot. The wind didn't push my hair in my eyes as I came prepared, my hair was up so I was ready for anything that wanted to happen. Before I could make it to the boot, Austin appears with both bags in hand sending me a smile. 'You know I can hold my own bag" I smile as he shakes his head and somehow takes my hand, how is he able to do all of that? 'There's no way I'm allowing you when you're with child" he says not allowing me to take my bag, I roll my eyes but a smile does fill my lips at how nice he was being. We make our way deeper into the carpark, Markus said to meet him here but this carpark is gigantic so I have no idea where he meant. We begin to walk and look around, but we once again couldn't catch a glimpse of Markus anywhere. 'Do you think Markus got cold feet and has made a run for it without us?" I ask looking up at Austin as he looked around, but before he could reply a very loud sound of a car approaching fills the air. In seconds, a car stops right in front of us with Markus jumping out of the front seat. I guess I can throw my theory out the window, but at least he's still here to get arrested. 'Great you're packed, Austin drop the bags in the back and get in as fast as you can, we don't have time to just stand around" Markus says clicking a button so the boot opened, him being this quick isn't a part of the plan. Austin and I make eye contact, I knew he was thinking the same thing as me. He goes to the back to play the part, while in my mind I was trying to come up with any plan to stall time so Jacob can get here! But I soon remember, in my predicament I have the best excuse! I lean down with my hands on my knees. 'I think I'm gonna be sick" I say playing an act as I look down, Austin was soon by my side placing his hands on my arms worriedly. 'It's fake" I whisper to Austin who I could tell, was growing rather worried, I must be a great actress! 'I have sick bags in the car, just get in and we can deal with that later" Markus says trying to rush me into the car, so I knew I had to do something drastic to stop him. 'Prepare for me to go dead weight" I whisper to Austin so he wouldn't drop me. 'I feel lightheaded" I say out loud before I fall into Austin's arms, who was more than ready to catch me.
