Chapter11

Kassandra I ran through the swamps as the werewolves continued to chase after me. I tried casting ice and fireball attack spells to slow them down but, they are very persistent and they refuse to give up the chase. I kept running through the swamp until stumbled a little. I rolled on the ground for a moment and then I got back on my feet and I took off running again not caring if my dress got dirty. I was starting to get tired of running and I was running low on energy since I used my spells for attacking and hiding. Suddenly, I fell into a bog and I got stuck. I tried to pull myself out but, I was sinking deeper. I grabbed onto a tree stump that was in the bog and I tried to pull myself out but, it was no use. The werewolves finally caught up to me but, they stopped at the edge of the bog. "No! get away from me! help!!" "Ha! scream all you want but, no one is coming to save you!" The werewolves snickered when Zeus said this and then he started look for a way to get to me. I was starting to panic and shouted. "No! don't come any closer!! help!!" I screamed loudly, hoping someone heard me. Suddenly, a familiar dragon roared and I knew who was coming. Zeus looked up and so did the werewolves and they started whimpering in fear. The dragon roar got louder and then a familiar black dragon flew towards us. Zeus looked at him in fear before he was picked up off the ground. I smiled when I recognized the dragon. "Drago!!" I watched Drago carry Zeus away from us and then I heard a loud thump. Drago flew back to me and then he landed onto the ground and growled at the werewolves. The werewolves looked at him fear before they took off running. Drago looked at me and then he lowered his hand into the bog for me to climb onto. I released the tree stump and I swam over to his hand. I grabbed onto his talons before he curled them around me to make sure that I'm secured before he lifted me out of the bog. Drago carefully puts me onto solid ground. I sat on my knees and I never felt so relieved to see him until now. "Are you all right?" Drago asked me through the mind link. "I...I think so..." I said while shaking a little from the cold water that I was pulled out from. "What the hell were you thinking?! I told you the woods was dangerous and yet you still didn't listen! why did you ignore my warnings?!" Drago shouted furiously through the mind link making me lower my head in shame and I didn't want him to see the tears in the corner of my eyes. "I'm...I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to run but...I was scared..." "Why? I told you, my friends and I don't hurt our mates." "I know! but...I also wanted to go home...my father is the only family I've got and I wanted to see him again...only now...I realise I can't get away from here..." Drago's look softened as I continued. "Please...forgive me...I didn't realise how dangerous this place was until now...you must hate me now...and I know that you will...hurt me...whether I'm your mate or not..." Tears spilt out of my eyes and then I started sobbing. I felt Drago's warm breath near my face and then I slowly looked up at him. His face was near me and then he gently rubbed his snout against me to comfort me. I leaned on him and then he told me. "Hey...I'm not mad, I was scared when I thought I had lost you when you were being chased you through the swamp...I didn't know what to think or what I'd do if I didn't get to you in time." I closed my eyes and then I ran my fingers on his scales. "Let's get you out of here." Drago told me as he pulled away from me and for some reason, I miss his warmth already. Drago moved his hand closer to me and then he picks me up before flapping his wings. I held onto his talons and as I watched the scenery below me, I noticed how far I had run from the spot where I last saw Lily. I couldn't believe I almost got myself killed for running away. I should have listened to Drago and the others. I looked Drago and I gently stroked his scales before I spoke up. "I am so sorry Drago...I promise...I won't run away ever again..." Drago growled in response before speaking up. "Good, and maybe next time you will think before making a run for it." I nodded my head as we flew through the clouds. After a while, we got back to the horde and then Drago lands on the ground but, he still kept a hold of me. Drago took me through the caves but, he didn't head back to the treasure room which took me by surprise. "Drago, where are we going?" I asked him. "You've been through the swamps and no offence Princess but, you're filthy." I looked down at myself and he was right, the sleeveless dress that was once white it was now dirty and damp. For some reason, the cave started to get warmer and then we got to an area where I saw a large pool of water with a waterfall and it has steam coming out. The ceiling was covered in crystals that were being reflected from the warm water. I was amazed by this area and I said to him. "Where are we?" "We're in the baths." "Oh, so you dragons do clean yourselves." "Hey! what is that supposed to mean?" Drago frowned a little when I said this, which made me chuckle at his reaction. "Anyway, there's a change of clothes near the edge of the pool. I asked Liz to bring some clothes for you before we came back." "I see, thanks." I told him before black mist surrounded him. I thought I was gonna fall but, Drago held me close as he turned back into his human form. Drago held me like a bride and he had a smirk on his face. "Now then, Princess..." Drago placed me on the ground and he demanded. "Strip." I blushed bright red when he said this. "Excuse me?!" "You heard me or do you humans bathe with your clothes on?" "You have got to be joking, I'm not taking my dress off in front of you." "Ugh, women..." Drago mumbled and then he stepped closer to me making me take a few steps back from him. However, Drago wrapped his arm around my waist and he held me close to his chest. "Either you strip or I will do it for you." I groaned a little and then I told him. "All right, all right but do me one favour." "What?" "Don't look." Drago pouted when I told him this and he said to me. "That's not fair." "Hey! I'm not comfortable with you watching me strip! as my mate can you at least do this for me?!" Drago looked at me with a shocked expression when I played the mate card. "Fine..." He grumbled before releasing me and turning his back towards me. "Thank you." "You're welcome, mate," He sarcastically spoke. I held back a laugh when he pouted like a child. Before I took off my dress, I took out the hairpins and untying my hair so it was easier to wash. I felt my hair on my lower back and then I reached behind my back to unlace the strings. I glanced at Drago and he still had his back turned towards me, which was a relief. Once the dress was loosened enough, I pulled it down and then it fell onto the ground. I stepped out of the crumbled dress and I got into the water. I glanced at Drago and I noticed that he had to look away quickly. I thought he might have taken a peak but, I let it slide as I went deeper into the water until the water reached my neck and shoulders. I took a deep breath and I ducked my head underwater to soak my hair and then I surfaced. I sighed a little and I ran my fingers through my hair to move the wet stray hairs out of my face. The water felt nice and hot and it felt like someone was giving my skin a nice massage. My moment of relaxation was interrupted when I heard a growl. I quickly covered my chest and I looked at Drago except he wasn't there anymore. "Drago? Drago? where'd you go?" I called out to him. I looked around for him and then I felt arms wrap themselves around my waist from behind making me squeal in shock. "Relax, it's me..." Drago whispered in my ear. I blushed bright red and I kept my chest covered with my arms. "D-Drago! what are you doing in here?! I told you not to look!" "But, you didn't say anything about me joining you." "That is not the point! you can't just come in here and- *Gasp*" My sentence was cut off when I felt Drago's lips on my neck. I felt Drago moving my hair to the side as he continued to attack my neck with his lips. I bit my lip to hold back a moan and then I felt Drago's hands on my arms that kept my chest covered. He tried to move my arms out of the way and he said to me. "Don't hide, I'm the only one who can see you like this." "Why?" "Because you're my mate." I felt a shiver travel down my spine when he whispered against my skin and then he gripped on my arms and he pulled them away from my chest so my breasts were exposed to him. I blushed a darker shade of red before Drago grabbed my shoulders and then he spun me around so I was facing him. Drago held me close and then his eyes looked at my chest. I looked away from him and then I thought to myself. 'I can't believe this happening! no man has seen me like this until now! what kind of Princess am I?! Father would be so disappointed in me and Drago probably doesn't like what he sees.' However, I was wrong about that because Drago started to squeezes and knead my chest making me gasp a little. "D-Drago-" "Shh..." He told me before leaning closer to my chest. "You are so beautiful." 'I knew it, I knew he didn't like- wait what?' I looked at Drago and I watched him lower himself into the water before wrapped his arms around my waist and then he started to kiss and suck on my left breast. I didn't if it was me or the water that was making me hot because I feel warm all over.
