Chapter23
Kassandra
The next morning, I told Drago about the vision I had last night and he didn't look too worried.
"Kassandra, it was only a dream, there's no way King Scott would declare war, he would be foolish to do so."
"Drago, you don't understand. This is not the first vision I've had. The first one that I had was before we met, the second one predicted my meeting with my Aunt Katrina after all these years and now, just like last night, a war between the dragons of your horde and King Scott will happen. When it does, not only will he have an army, he will have that dark sorceress Zara with him and he will have a dragon with him too."
Drago looked at me surprised when I told him my previous visions.
"How sure are you about these visions?"
"Very sure, I knew we were going to meet sooner or later after I had that vision when I was still known as the Princess. Look, you can believe me or not, but, I am telling you, a war will come and soon. We need to be ready."
"How do I know you're not making this up?" Drago asked me after we left the cave until a familiar voice spoke up.
"Because Kassandra's mother also had predictions of the future."
We looked who spoke and it was my Aunt. She was sitting on a rock before we came out and then she stood up.
"Aunt Katrina! you came!"
"Of course I did, I can't stay away from you forever," Aunt Katrina spoke with a grin.
"I can only guess why you're here. You predicted the same thing didn't you?"
"Yes, as soon as I had that vision, I rushed over as fast as I could."
Drago looked at us with a confused look.
"What are you two talking about? are saying that you two had the same vision?"
"Yes we did," Aunt Katrina spoke with a serious.
"It's always been that way for us. Karen, Kassandra and I have this gift to see into the future or rather a curse as some people would say. If you're blood-related there's always a chance that we have the same vision, for example, last night's vision about the raid that's going to happen in a few days."
Drago looked surprised along with the other dragons when they heard our conversation.
"A raid?"
"Our worst fear has come true..."
"What will we do?"
"How can we defend our mountain?"
"SHUT UP!!" I yelled at the others and they went quiet aside from Drago looked at me with a nervous smile and a nervous chuckle.
"Don't start panicking, we'll think of something," I told them.
"And we better do it and fast and from what I saw from that vision, not only will the Cassina soldiers will be marching here, but, Zara will be among them too. I say we call upon our allied covens to assist us," Aunt Katrina told me.
"What about that Dragon we saw?"
Drago smirked and he said to me.
"You let me worry about him, whoever he is, I'll take him down."
Aunt Katrina and I sweat dropped when he said this.
"That might be a problem because in the vision we saw Dragonslayers."
Drago looked surprised when Aunt Katrina told him this.
"If that's the case, then what can we do? if those Dragonslayers are gonna be there, how can we stop King Scott?"
We thought for a moment until Sparx shouted.
"Lord Drago!!"
We looked in the direction where Sparx called from and then he ran towards us. He came to a halt and he panted in exhaustion.
"There's...there's a..."
"What?! speak up! what is it?!"
"There's a white dragon flying in our direction and there are two humans riding on the back of it!"
Drago growled and then he shifted into his dragon form before taking off into the sky. Aunt Katrina and I looked at each other before chasing after Drago to find out what was going on and who was coming.
Leo
We flew above the forbidden forest for a while until we finally spotted the mountain where we would find Kassandra. Alfred smirked and then he said to me.
"We'll be there soon, are you happy that you'll get to see her again?"
"I will be."
Suddenly, Crystal hovered in the air and she looked uneasy.
"What's the matter Crystal?" I asked her.
"It looks like she can sense danger. I think we're being followed," Alfred spoke as he looked around.
I couldn't see anything but, cloud until I spotted a black-winged created flying towards us.
"Uh, I don't think we're being followed! I think we're about to be attacked!!"
Crystal looked to the side and when she saw the dragon flying towards us, Alfred Shouted.
"Fly Crystal! fly as fast as you can!!"
Crystal roared in response and then she flew as fast as she could while that black dragon chased after us. The black dragon growled and he almost bit Crystal's tail a few times and then she flew above the lake.
"We gotta lose him!"
"How?!" I shouted at Alfred.
"You seem to have forgotten that I was once a dragonslayer."
Alfred spoke with a smirk before he got a potion bottle. He turned Crystal around and then he throws the potion bottle at the black dragon, right in the eyes. The black dragon roared in pain and he hovered in the air to wipe his eyes so we were able to escape from him.
"What was that?"
"That was dragons bane. It doesn't harm us humans but, it does hurt the dragons whether it's in a potion bottle or if you inject them with it. When the dragons do come in contact with it, oh ho, they will be aggressive."
"Yikes, remind me not to get on your bad side," I told Crystal and she hummed in agreement.
We landed on the ground and then a man with light blonde hair and green eyes appeared and he came over to us.
"Who are you and what are you doing here? where is Lord Drago?"
"Worry about him later," Alfred told him before we got off of Crystal's back. "We come in peace."
Crystal reverted back into her human form and hides behind me with a shy look on her face.
"Do you have a woman called Kassandra with you?"
"We do, why?"
Alfred elbows me and I told them.
"I'm Kassandra's friend and I've been extremely worried about her."
"Leo?" A familiar voice called out.
I looked up and it was Kassandra. I smiled at her when I saw her.
"Kassandra!"
We both smiled at each other and then Kassandra ran over to me and she flung her arms around me. We both laughed and I spun her around with her in my arms.
"I missed you!"
"I missed you too!" I told her with a smile on my face.
I placed her back down on the ground and I noticed that there was something different about her.
"Kassandra, you've changed."
"You've noticed?" Kassandra spoke with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, you seem to have lost that whole royalty personality."
"Well, let's just say I wasn't always the perfect princess. I was under a spell for 10 years."
"I know, Alfred explained everything to me."
"So you know?" Kassandra asked in a surprised tone.
"Yes, I can't believe you were under a spell the whole time and I didn't notice, I am so sorry Kassandra."
"Don't apologize, neither of us knew that Scott ordered a sorceress to mess with my mind."
"Well, let's just be glad that you're no longer under that woman's control. That reminds me, the Dragon Priests told me that you're mated to a Dragon Lord, where is he?"
"He went to look for you guys, he probably thought that you were intruders or something."
Alfred and I froze on the spot when she told us this.
"Uh oh..." He mumbled.
"I uh, I think we met him."
I spoke nervously. Kassandra looked at us confused before we heard a loud thud behind us. I hid behind Kassandra as the Drago Lord appeared from the smoke.
"Oh...you three are dead meat!!"
Kassandra
I watched as a very angry Drago came out of the smoke and for some reason his eyes looked a bit red and irritated.
"Drago, what happened to you?" I asked him in a surprised tone.
"I'll tell you what happened one of those two humans threw dragons bane at me!"
"They what?!" I shouted as I glared at Leo who chuckled nervously.
"Kassandra, I can tell you now it wasn't my fault, it was Alfred! he threw it at Drago!!"
I glared at the man called Alfred and he said to me.
"Don't glare at me like that, I didn't know he was Lord Drago."
Drago growled and he was about to attack until I placed my hand on his chest.
"Don't even think about it!"
"But-"
"Not at word!!"
I yelled before he lowered his head and mumbled.
"Yes, dear..."
Leo and Alfred snickered when I scolded him. I looked at Leo and Alfred and they stopped laughing.
"You two better have a good explanation for coming here because Drago here is ready to eat you for breakfast."
Drago growled in response with his arms folded before Leo spoke up.
"Okay, you better sit down, it's a long story..."
