Kassandra I was shocked when Leo revealed who he really was and who his parents were. All this time, my friend and ex-bodyguard, is the heir to the throne of Cassina and no one knew about this except for his mother. "King Scott is your father?!" I shouted in a shocked tone. "Leo, why didn't you tell me or anyone else about this?" "I wanted to at the time, but, he was already married and he had an heir the throne. Or at least, I thought he did until I learned the truth about you." "But, why didn't you tell him after I got kidnapped?" "I couldn't say anything, besides, you know what he's like. He's very overprotective of you and if I told him the truth, he wouldn't have believed me anyway." Leo told us as he looked away from us with shame on his face. "I'll bet you two hate me now huh?" I was shocked when he asked me and Crystal this. "Hate you? Leo, you've been like a brother to me when I was Cassina's Princess. Look, whether you're related to King Scott or not, you're still our friend." "And my mate," Crystal spoke with a smile on her face. Leo looked at us with a surprised look and then he smiled afterwards. "Thank you so much, you two. What would I do with you?" Leo asked as he wrapped his arm around Crystal's shoulder. An idea popped into my head and then I said to him. "Guys, I've got an idea." "Uh oh, I don't like that look on your face..." Leo mumbled but, I heard it loud and clear. Zonar It has been a few hours since we've been walking and the fog was starting to clear thanks to Zara's magic. I began to sense Drago's horde but, I knew I had to buy Kassandra and the others some time before we arrive. "How much longer do we have to walk through the woods like this? it feels like we've been going in circles." Scott complained as we continued to walk through the woods. I came to a halt and I looked around and then Zara said to me. "Zonar, you better not have been leading us in a circle." "No, I have not, I've been walking in the right direction and to fair, I've been locked up in the dungeons for a while so there's a small chance that my senses may have dulled a little." "And you're just telling us this now?!!" Scott yelled angrily. "Scott, calm yourself down!" Zara shouted as she held him back. "Listen, getting angry at him isn't helping things. You've got to stay calm." King Scott took a few deep breaths before looking a bit more calmer. "All right, but, if I find out that he's been lying to us, I'll kill him and this time, no one will save him." I sensed my horde and Zen's presence along with Drago's horde and I knew the time has come. I smirked at Scott and I said to him. "I'd like to see you try, your majesty." I spoke in a sarcastic tone before he frowned angrily. "That's it!!" Before he could touch me, we heard a roar in the distance. We looked up and then a black dragon appeared. He roared and then he breathed out fire, causing the tree to catch flames. Scott's men started panicking when they saw him. "Don't panic! it's just one dragon!" He shouted. Zara looked at me and she said to me. "Deal with him!" "How do you expect me to fight when I'm in chains?" I asked as I showed my shackles that were on my wrists and neck. She growled annoyingly and then she looked at the dragonslayers. "Release him and remember, Zonar. If you don't help us-" "I know, I know, you and Scott will kill me." I told them as the dragon slayers unchained me. Once I was free I shifted into my dragon form and then I flew into the sky. I roared at Drago and then he glared at me. I flew towards him and I tried to bite him but, he dodged me and then he started flying away from me. "Come on! we'll take this fight elsewhere!" He shouted and then I followed after him. We flew higher and higher into the sky until we couldn't see below us any more. Once we were high enough Drago hovered for a moment until a black-purple dragon flew over to us. I squinted my eyes because I noticed that her scent was familiar and that was until I heard that angelic voice. "It's been a long time, Zonar or should I say...father?" My eyes widen in shock and then it hit me. "Kassandra?!" Kassandra's dragon roared happily and then I flew around her before I hovered next to her to take in her appearance before nuzzling my snout against her face. "Look at you, you're a real dragon shifter now, aren't you?" "It's thanks to you and Zen. If I hadn't found the truth, I wouldn't be here right now and discovering my true power." "Your mother would have been so proud of you." Kassandra smiled at this and then Drago spoke up. "Lord Zonar, you can save this reunion for later right now, we've got to stop King Scott." "I know, but how?" "Don't worry," Kassandra spoke up. "I have a little plan in mind but, I need you two to act like you're fighting each other for a while. We're going to reveal the truth to everyone soon enough." "All right but, be careful. There are dragonslayers down there." "Don't worry, I'm pretty sure they will be dealt with soon enough, I'm counting on you two to keep up the act." Drago and I nodded our heads and then Kassandra flew away from us. Kassandra I flew into the forest and I shifted back into my human form while my aunt and the others fought against Scott's men. Crystal and Leo were hiding in the shadows and they had taken care of the dragonslayers thanks to Alfred's help. I peeked out of the bushes and I spotted Scott among them and he was ready to fight anyone who got in his way. I looked at Leo and he said to me. "Ready to reveal the truth?" "Absolutely and we'll go in 3...2...1." I watched Zonar tackle Drago onto the ground and he bit onto his neck to make him submit but, I knew they were putting on an act. I ran out of the bushes and shouted. "No! stop!!" Everyone stopped fighting and then Zara and Aunt Katrina stopped using their attack spells when they saw me. Scott looked at me and he smiled in relief before speaking up. "Kassandra! you're all right!" "Father! tell him to stop! he's going to kill my mate!" I shouted in a 'desperate' tone. Everyone looked shocked when I shouted this and then he shouted. "Zonar! if you kill him! you'll kill my daughter too!!" Zonar released Drago's neck and then he backed off before the two of the shifted back in human form. Zonar stayed well back while I stood next to Drago. Scott frowned and then he shouted. "Take your hands off her!" "And why should I? you know how precious mates are to dragons! even you should know that!" Scott's eyes widen in shock when he said this and then Zara chuckled. "Oh come now, how could Scott know such a thing? he doesn't know what he's talking about. Isn't that right, Princess?" Zara spoke before casting that spell onto me. I stumbled a little and then one of the soldiers shouted. "What did you do?!" "Relax, I used a mind-changing spell. Once it takes effect, she won't remember about this or her mate. Just like last time." I opened one eye at Zonar and I said to him. "That's your cue." "Last time? Zara, when exactly did you use the mind-changing spell on Princess Kassandra?" Zara saw her mistake and then she smirked at Zonar. "It was after the poor Princess lost her mother. The poor dear was so panicked that I had to erase most of her memories to forget about that awful incident." I raised my head and I smirked at Zara. "So, you're admitting you did use that same spell on me and paralyzed my best friend Zen after Scott tried to kill Zonar and cause my mother to sacrifice her life to save him?" The soldiers gasped in shock when they heard this. Scott was shocked when he noticed that Zara's spell didn't work on me. "Zara! what's going on? why didn't your spell work?!" "I...I don't know, I don't understand. It worked the last time when I used it." "It's because I'm immune to your dark spells now Zara." Zara was shocked when I told this and then I turned my attention to Scott. "You thought you had it all, didn't you? the perfect kingdom, a daughter who 'supposedly' hated dragons like you and the perfect Queen? well, there are some things, not even you can have, you greedy bastard!" "How dare you use that foul language! you are a princess!" "No! I am not! we're not even related! you lied to the Kingdom! you lied to your people! you made them think that Zonar killed my mother! you are nothing but a lair and a greedy King!" "I have no idea what you're talking about, what makes you think we're not related? you are my daughter!" "Oh really? then if we're related then explain to your men...this." I asked him before I shifted into my Dragon form. Cassina's soldiers were shocked and horrified when they saw my dragon form including Zara and Scott. I growled angrily at Scott and then he took a few steps back before I pinned him down with my hand. I snarled and growled at him and then Zonar chuckled. "That's my girl!" Zara frowned and shouted. "Get off him right now!!" Zara was about to attack me until Leo appeared and shouted. "Stop!!" Zara came to a halt and when she looked at Leo, she looked shocked and horrified, almost as if she saw a ghost. "Leon?" she asked in a shocked tone. "Leo?! where the hell have you been this whole time?!" Leo frowned and he said to him. "I was with my mate and I also found out the truth about what you did. You tried to kill Zonar after finding out that Queen Karen got pregnant with his child and not yours. However, you didn't realise how precious mates are, but, I do now." Crystal smiled as she wrapped her arms around Leo's arm. Scott and Zara looked shocked when he said this. "Leon! how could you fall for a dragon?! they're monsters!" "They're the monsters? funny, I used to think the same about you, you called me a mistake when I was ten years old or did you forget about me after I left home, Mother." Zara's eyes widen in shock and then Scott spoke up. "What did you just say?!"
