Chapter 77
SAAFIA'S POV:-
All the confusion inside me finally vanished, the sting cleared and now I could focus entirely on the man before me, only thinking about our future where nothing but our love would remain.
‘What more do we need?' I thought the next morning when he was sleeping peacefully.
My fingers trailed on the side of his face, caressing him lovingly. I was utterly stupefied at his misery, not once I imagined it would affect him ‘that' much.
'I won't leave you again, my love." I whispered, trailing my fingers to his pumped shoulders.
'Promise?" A smirk crept on his lips, indicating he was awake. Furrowing my brows, I poked his shoulder with my index finger playfully.
'Hmm? You were awake?"
'Mhm." He chuckled groggily, nodding before opening his eye-catching silver eyes.
'I am just wondering, I didn't expect you to be that gloomy about my absence." I exhaled, contemplating the room, not believing how badly it affected him.
Seeing that pinched me, I won't leave him again.
Humming, he took my hand from his shoulder and kissed it lovingly, blooming a euphoric sensation inside me.
'You have no idea how badly it affected me, Saafia. You have developed into a habit. I can't imagine losing you." He murmured, bringing a scarlet shade on my cheek from delight.
'I can see that." Giggling, I pinched his cheek before we both sat. He stretched his muscular arms, increasing his handsomeness as I stared at him in admiration, looking so desirable.
He yawned, giving my shoulder a pat, 'Anyways, let's get up and clean this-"
'You do it. I am not moving an inch. You did it, you cleaned it up." I demanded, motioning to clear the mess he created.
He arched an eyebrow seductively, moving his one hand across me to hover over me so he couldn't bind my senses in his rhythm.
'Won't help me at all?" He questioned temptingly, leaning dangerously closer to my face.
'No."
Forming my lips in a thin line, I averted my gaze but he held my chin, determined to make me join him too.
'Really?"
I failed to stare at him and ended up chuckling, 'Okay,"
Shaking my head, I couldn't decline those desirable eyes as we both freshened up and began to clean up the mess in the room. Though I never expected Dariel, the perfectionist to live in this mess.
'You even broke this? I ordered it especially to match our theme." I frowned, picking the broken vase in the corner, ruining the decor of my beautiful room.
'I told you I was not in my right state of mind." He shrugged his shoulders with a faint smile.
'I can clearly see that."
'Leave that. Order another one. Anyways, Be ready tonight. Let's go out for dinner." He winked, taking out his clothes after organizing the room.
'Sure."
Laughing a little, I helped him get ready as we went down to have breakfast, sharing a monotonous yet sweet moment with each other before he left for work.
After he was gone, I contemplated what happened. I never expected him to yearn for me this much, I was confused before but now, by all means, I won't leave until I hear the whole truth in any matter again.
‘How can I go when my Dariel couldn't spend a second without me? Especially when he loves me too?' I thought delightfully, brushing my hair after wearing a pink knee-length frock for our dinner.
Grinning at my reflection, I was waiting for my husband to return.
'My, my, look at my Missus. What a sight to behold."
Resting his elbow on the doorframe, a cheering coo echoed in the room.
Blushing shyly at the sound, I saw my spellbinding man with one hand in his pocket and the other twirling a rose around his fingers.
'Welcome home. How do I look?" I asked, taking a spin to show him my dress.
His intense eyes scanned me from top to bottom, licking his lips as he opened a button of his shirt, increasing my heartbeats when he stopped before me, tapping the rose on my nose.
'Sometimes I feel like you wear pink not because it suits you a lot but to force me to like that color. But then again, anything looks arresting on you." He smirked, snaking his hand around my waist to keep my body latched to his strong one.
'I love it when you compliment me." I whispered, holding onto his shirt.
'You can't see through my mind yet. This is one of my hundred thoughts." He whispered back, kissing my cheeks.
'Oh you. Freshen up. I am waiting."
I laughed, pulling away from him, patting his shoulder as he wore a white shirt and gray pants and waistcoat, opening two buttons of his shirt.
'Shall we leave?" I asked when he got ready, taking my bag.
'Just a second."
Grabbing my wrist, he tucked a pink rose behind my ear before nibbling on my earlobe, making my body tremble in need.
'Guess who knew you were going to wear that color?"
I giggled, pinching his cheek at the adorable action, 'Let's go."
He placed his hand over my shoulder to keep me close to his strong chest protectively. Smiling radiantly, I looked up at him in pure admiration as we left to have our dinner, had ice-cream afterwards.
After spending a pleasant time outside, we returned, tired. After changing our clothes, I was brushing my hair until Dariel came from behind.
He was surely in a lively mood.
'You're so beautiful, you know?"
Placing my hair on my shoulder, he gained access to my neck, sinking his lips on my skin to kiss as lovingly as possible.
'What are you doing?"
I smirked, poking him with my elbow, I turned to face him playfully, holding his shirt while dragging my nails gently on the side of his face.
'Hmm? What do you think?"
Arching an eyebrow, his both hands held my sides, leaning down to capture my lips with his talented ones, kissing me passionately before pushing me down on the bed.
The sensation of my body colliding with him was inexplicable, my heartbeats synced with his rapid ones, keeping each other close to ensure nothing could separate us again.
'I seriously can't control myself before you, Mrs. Cannedy." He chuckled huskily, breathlessly, intertwining our fingers to feel the perfection.
I smirked, pecking his cheek as I permitted him to not control either so we could become one.
'Who is stopping you? My Darling~"
After a rapturous night, I woke up in the morning, watching my beloved husband getting ready to leave for his work while I was in his shirt.
'Morning. You were sleeping so peacefully. I didn't want to disturb you." He flashed a charming smile, leaving all his work so he could come up to me and kiss the top of my heart.
I swear, these soft actions of his would turn me mad for him.
'It's alright." I whispered, taking his hand in mine too so I could kiss his knuckles, indulging how perfect it felt when we held hands.
'Are you doing okay? I hope I was not rough." He asked softly, giving my hand an assuring squeeze.
'Yeah, yeah, I am okay."
'Great. I am leaving then. Don't forget to have breakfast. Take care." He whispered, pecking my lips, taking me by surprise.
'I love you." He spoke wholeheartedly, wallowing in the heartwarming point our life had reached.
'I love you too."
Blushing, I replied vaguely, averting my gaze as he walked away and went to work, leaving me utterly spellbound in him.
My life had begun to sing endless melodies of love, indicating this was the point of my life I was longing for. Just him and me, our world, made for each other.
'Ah, how beautiful."
Laughing timidly to myself, I got out, took a shower and had breakfast as I went to check up on my garden but all on my mind was him.
My thoughts were wrapped around him only until a maid came and broke my rhythm.
'Ma'am."
'Hmm?"
'We have an important guest." She informed me. Blinking, I regained my composure. Who could it be, 'Who?"
She didn't tell me so I went to see who came, moreover important. Entering the hall, I saw a man in a black shirt and black waistcoat, emitting a dangerous aura which distressed me. Shrinking my eyes, they collided with an emotionless hazel one with long brown hair.
'Yes? Do I know you?" I asked softly, not sure if I had seen him before or not.
He emitted the same malicious aura Dariel once did when we first met but much darker but concealing that aura, he curled his lips in a beautiful smile, extending his hand charmingly to me.
'I doubt your husband would tell me about you but you should. I am Helder Cannedy, Dariel's cousin."
