Chapter 83
DARIEL'S POV:-
The next morning, I held a grin on my face while getting ready for my work, smirking at my wife who looked absolutely gorgeous in my shirt and her jeans.
'So, you are so happy now? He is leaving today." She giggled, taking my tie and wrapping it around her hand before moving it behind my head to bring our faces closer.
'You have eradicated my concern using another way already." I smirked, taking my tie and securing it properly.
'Hey."
'I guess my heart is possessive over you, not too much, a little, you know? Just a tiny bit." I smirked, showing her a pinch though it was much higher than that.
'Yes, I can see it." She giggled, poking my cheek and hearing me wear my coat as I was ready to leave for work.
Wrapping my hand around her shoulder, I pressed my beloved near my chest, looking at her in mesmerization, not wanting to affix these eyes elsewhere as I asked nonchalantly.
'Is your throat hurting?"
'No. Why?"
I winked, 'I will make it, tonight."
'Enough." She giggled, pushing my chest to get away from me. I laughed too as the blush rose to her cheeks, looking away in embarrassment.
'See this brain here? Be glad you don't know in how many ways I want to pin and kiss you in a way you won't be able to resist." I smirked, leaning against the railing as I pointed at my head.
Her mouth gaped but how could I possibly explain what I felt about her, what words were on my tongue. Limitless in-depth emotions I wanted to express.
She kept looking down, curling my lips in a smirk, I moved closer, placing my hand beside her to trap her near me, indulging in the smallest gap.
Wrapping my fingers under her chin, I forced her to lock our eyes as I continued temptingly, 'If I get to experience them in reality-"
Not allowing me to indulge in her bashful reactions, she pinched my arm, 'Ouch, what?"
Ducking, she escaped the prison of my arms and walked away as I frowned at her for creating distance. My core rejected any separation from her.
'Helder." She cleared her throat, pointing in the other direction, watching him coming down while being on a call.
Frowning, I rolled my eyes.
She glared at me to not behave like this as I forced a smile and waved my hand at him.
'Oh, hey."
He cut the call, flashing his bright smile which never failed to induce doubt in me. Displaying his radiant demeanor, he stopped before us.
'Hey. I guess you were waiting for me to leave." He smirked.
Me and Saafia exchanged nervous glances as he chuckled and continued, 'Don't worry, I will leave in the afternoon, you can continue your plans then. I won't be a burden anymore."
'It's nothing like this, Helder. You are welcome here. It's just Dariel and his moods." Saafia spoke sweetly, ending in a warning stare at me which perplexed me to wonder what I did.
'What about my moods?" I shrugged, placing my hand over her shoulder to again place her against my heartbeats as we went down.
'You seriously want me to explain?" She smirked, poking my chest, pumping my sensation madly.
'Nope."
We laughed a little as my love for her was incredibly increasing day by day and I had no way to place how much into words. It was becoming unmanageable for me- especially when she laughs with me.
The sound of it spellbound me, compelled to stare at her, I kept smiling. Tilting my head to get a better glimpse of her adorable face.
Mesmerized by the woman before until a maid came and broke my rhythm.
'Sir."
'Hmm?"
'We have a guest. Inspector Kane is demanding to meet you." Arching an eyebrow at the unexpected arrival of cops, I pulled away from Saafia.
'Me? Okay."
Becoming worried, she looked up at me, clutching my lapel innocently.
'Is everything alright, Dairel?"
'Let me go first." I whispered, kissing her hands before getting away.
'Let me come with you." Helder added as we left to see what brought inspector Kane here.
With a grimace, we went to see what he wanted though I had a comprehensive idea of what it might be.
Keeping my dominant composure, I entered the lounge, greeted him and came to the main context instantly, 'Yes, Sir?"
'Mister Cannedy, I have an arrest warrant against you for assaulting Sam Mort, for blackmailing and also doing the same to Jared Raz." He informed me apologetically.
Of course I was from high society, doing anything degrading towards me would be unfavorable for them too.
'Who filed the complaint?" I questioned, narrowing my eyes.
'We are not obliged to answer that. You can call your lawyer and inform him to get your bail but for now you have to come with us, Sir." He said softly and I had already created a deadly image so he was worried that after getting away from this mess, I won't teach him a lesson too.
But, my heart was floating today, in fact, since Saafia returned, I couldn't bring myself to be furious.
'I understand." I hummed, gesturing to him to relax as we got out and my eyes fell on my angelic wife who dashed towards me, perturbation gleaming on her face.
'Dariel? What is happening? Where are they taking you?" She asked worriedly.
'Saafia, it's nothing. Relax." I whispered, putting my hand in the air.
'How can I? What is happening?" She hissed, tears pricking in the corner, refusing to let me go. Sighing at her demeanor, I didn't know what to say but thankfully Helder came.
'Saafia, don't create a scene here. Your servants are watching, they will create a rumor." he whispered.
'Dariel…"
She paused, glancing at me and then looking down in dejection as she pulled away gradually, wiping the tear in the corner.
'I will be back, don't worry. It's nothing. I knew he would make this mistake." I kissed the top of her head and went with the cop followed by Helder who was looking compassionately at me.
But we both knew it was neither known nor something surprising.
The second we got out, I turned to him, 'Helder, can I ask you for a favor?"
'Yeah, sure, what is it?"
I didn't want to but I was worried about the harrow in Saafia's eyes, she was too tense and I needed someone to be with her.
'Until I return, can you take care of Saafia and call her sister here too? She will… delicate, you know." I asked worriedly.
He was taken aback but then returned a sincere smile, 'Don't worry, brother, she is in safe hands in your absence. You end your ordeal. I am here."
Maybe he was not that bad after all, I was wrong or jealous to judge him.
'Thanks man." Giving his shoulder a pat, I left with the cop as the smile on my lips died replaced with a growl, curling my hands in a fist, a fury rose in me.
Oh, Sam, you are so dead. If you think that petty action would help you then you are so damn wrong. I will go worse with you now.
Nothing could save you from me.
