Chapter 89
SAAFIA'S POV:-
My head was spinning since last night, I didn't know what happened after I passed out. My body felt slightly numb but my peaceful rhythm was broken when a roaring resonance echoed in my room.
'Saafia!"
Gasping, I sat up only to realize the person next to me was not Dariel. My heartbeats stopped immediately, my mind became senseless with immense horror.
'Dariel…?"
My throat dried in instant horror when I saw myself in Helder's shirt and he was on the bed shirtless with me.
'What the fuck!?"
Gasping, we both got out of the bed hastily.
I was only in my underwear and his shirt, evoking a horrible sensation of what might have happened. Tears covered my vision, my mind was blanked, covering my mouth from anguish.
'Exactly. What the fuck?" Dariel scowled, glaring at both of us.
Shaking violently, tears spilled from my eyes. Having not a single memory of how he ended up on the bed with me. My body froze as I walked to Dariel.
'D-Dariel, I-I don't know w-what.. H-how he-"
Ignoring my call, his dominant steps stopped at Helder who held an unfathomable look disturbed.
Swallowing hard, he called him slowly, 'Dariel…"
Growling, he pushed Helder away outrageously, 'What the hell do you think you are doing with my wife!?"
My breaths hitched, pressing myself against the wall when Dariel hit him. Tears began to roll down uncontrollably as I tried my best to remember.
But nothing came. I clearly remember that I passed out. I fainted. Then what was I doing here? How the hell did that happen!?
'We don't know, Dariel… We- we had a drink and.. Saafia, she…" Helder whispered, stopping Dariel from hitting, spitting blood as he affixed his eyes on me.
Dariel also stopped and turned to me with a death-glare which stole my senses in one eye-contact.
Frightened, I held the shirt and broke into a miserable sob, 'What did I do!?"
'Did you not say your head is dizzy? And then I took you to your room." Helder argued, worsening Dariel's anger at the statement.
'Yes, I did, but- I don't know-"
Furrowing his brows, Dariel turned to me. Shivering ferociously, I silently cried, the anticipation of facing his wrath stole my vision.
'Dariel, listen to me please," I sobbed badly, shaking my head in denial, holding my hand out to him.
The fact, nothing was in my memory disturbed me.
What could I possibly speak in my defense when I had no idea what the heck happened?
'What more do you want me to listen to after finding you… like this… with another damn man!?" Dariel yelled, hitching my breaths at his level of fury.
My heart pounded badly against my chest, breaths were restricted around my throat with tears stealing my ability to see. Panting for air, I was extremely dreadful to face his wrath.
'Dariel, listen, we were drunk, we didn't know. It just happened. Yes, Saafia took me to the room but I can't tell you afterward-" Helder began to explain, bringing instant horror to my face.
'What are you saying, Helder!?" Shaking, I yelled back at him.
'Did you forget what happened, Saafia?"
My jaw was dropped, tears smeared across my cheeks miserably. Chest constricted due to agony as I sniffed to wipe my tears but nothing reduced the stress on my mind.
'Your head was spinning, I took you inside, you said to tuck you into bed and then you started to unbutton my shirt, I tried to stop you but you started babbling. Do you not remember?"
No, no, no. This had to be a lie. I couldn't do this. I won't do this to my Dariel. He must be lying.
Whimpering, convulsing, I only turned to Dariel who held tears and inexplicable betrayal in his eyes. His anguish pierced right through my chest.
'Dariel…" I whispered.
A few silent tears rolled down his cheek, fathoming how it could possibly occur.
'Dariel, I am so sorry, I didn't know what took over me, I-"
Helder tried to come closer and convince him but he slapped his hand away outrageously.
'Leave my house." He scowled.
Losing his breaths due to an unaccountable amount of sorrow. Clenching and unclenching his hand but he couldn't contain it anymore.
'Dariel, my brother, listen-" Helder endeavored to make him listen but losing his mind, Dariel punched him,
'I said get lost!"
Gasping, Helder didn't react and put his hand in the air. Being as calm as possible, he breathed out, wiping the blood from his lips while I was crying silent.
'Okay, okay,"
Not enhancing his fury, Helder walked out of the room, leaving us alone. My whole being froze, agitated, I pressed myself harder against the wall to support when he glared at me.
His enraged eyes stopped at mine, stole my breaths. Sniffling, I wiped my eyes and took a weak towards him.
'Dariel, listen to me, please."
'What have you done, Saafia?"
Scowling breathlessly, he held my arms harshly, pressed me towards him. His grip made me wince in pain. Sobbing, I clutched his shirt miserable.
'I swear, I have no idea what he was talking about. I passed out, I don't remember any of what he said." I managed to utter what I remember but his jaw clenched.
'Then how did it happen? You in his shirt and him like this…?"
Taking a painful pause, he scanned me with doe. A tear of anguish rolled down his cheek, digging his hand on my arm before stopping at my teary face again.
'Do you think I am a fool who can't tell what was before me?" He whispered furiously.
'Is that how much you were missing me huh? To the point of SLEEPING WITH ANOTHER FUCKING MAN!?" Yelling, he pushed me away as I fell on the ground.
Looking down in shame, I resented the second I took that wine glass with the sound of my cries echoing in the room.
He looked down outrageously at me, the look of being deceived he gave me was unbearable.
'Please, believe me, nothing happened. I was unconscious." I whimpered, looking up at him to find a glimpse of compassion but to no avail. He was too heartbroken and I felt horrible to see how it could have happened.
Inhaling sharply, the anger faded and was replaced with unmanageable pain, turning to the side, he liberated a disheartened sob.
'I can't believe, among all the people you did to me."
'I loved you so much, so badly, I changed myself, did everything for you and what did you do to me, Saafia?!" He ended up crying, pulling his hair as he fell on the ground.
