PREGNANT EDITH

VALERIE Some minutes later, we are all sitting and watching some kids dance. I look at Patrick who doesn't know even the D of dancing but still is jumping around with his buddies. I'm chatting with Evie when Nathan and Edith stands up and asks for our attention. We all turn to look at them. "Okay guys! I have to-" Edith begins but stops when Nathan clears his throat. "Sorry, we have to make two announcements." "Good or bad?" Ivan asks. "Good." Nathan says. "About why you smell different?" Evie asks and Edith blushes. She pauses and takes a deep breath. I see Nathan interlacing his hands with hers. "Few days ago while exploring this city, we found a perfect place and two weeks from today we are getting married there." she says and we all get up and scream happily. He proposed to her a few months back but there was no wedding announcement, until now. "Congratulations." I say happily hugging her. We are all in a huge group hug around Edith suffocating her. Nathan has to hold our arms and drag us apart from her. "Congrats bro." I say to Nathan hugging him and I think I see Jasper flinch. "Okay.... What's the second announcement?" Oscar asks Edith. "I-" Edith is about to say but she's cut off by Nathan. He comes and stands in front of her. "You will not jump at her and hurt our baby!" he says to us sternly. Suddenly, there's complete silence. "Baby?" I ask in marvel. "Way to ruin the announcement!" Edith says to Nathan while pouting. He pecks her lips and mutters a sorry. The couple turn to look at us and we are all staring at them to confirm it. "I am pregnant duh." Edith says and the noise and cheers that follow it are nothing compared to the previous ones. We are wishing and hugging and laughing and cheering for our two best friends who are getting married and having a baby soon. "I should have guessed it earlier!" Evie says to her. "I wanted to wait until tonight to tell you all. That's why I lied about the perfume." Sveta Edith says while blushing beet red. "Congrats once again!" I exclaim, squeezing her tightly but back off immediately. "Is it going to hurt the baby?" "No silly!" she giggles and hugs me back. "Wow! This is the best day!" Evie says cheerfully. "I know." I scream and hug her tightly. I see Shawn who's smiling at me. "Which is the venue for the wedding?" Bella asks Edith. "Franklin Suite." Edith replies. It's owned by the Franklins'. "It's owned by Shawn." I tell her. "Yeah, we asked him and he cleared the dates and booked it for us. He was very helpful with this!" Edith says while smiling at Shawn. I turn to look at him and mouths a Thank-you. I'm grateful that he has helped my two best friends. The noise cheers continue for next half-an-hour. When it finally dies down, Evie shrieks loudly. "Oh My God! Only two weeks?" "Yeah!" Edith says. "We have lots of work to do then!" I say. "What about the Pack? Did you inform them?" "I did, they are coming here three days before the wedding. So the preparation duty falls on you all." Nathan says while smirking. "But we have so much to do, dress, invitation and whatever else that comes with a wedding!" I say. "We have to do it in two weeks." Edith adds with a smile. "Couldn't you have informed us a little earlier?" I complain and everyone else agrees. "Oh come on, please be a sweetie and help the bride here. If you do you'll get to be the godmother!" She says to me. "Of course I will help you-" I say but I'm interrupted by Evie. "Hold on a second! When is the inspector coming?" Evie asks holding her hands on her chest. "Hey, that's my mother you are talking about!" Oscar says. "Next week." Nathan says apologetically. "What? I mean Yay!" I say after Oscar narrows his eyes at me. "Oh! Thank goddess, there's enough time to clean my room!" Evie relaxes and sits down. After a little more dancing and wishing the party came to an end, I want to meet Shawn, but he's already heading towards his car. "Shawn, Wait!" I say and he stops and turns to look at me. I throw myself in his arms and hug him tightly. "Thank-you" I say and he wraps his arms around me. I stand on my tip toes and kiss him passionately. When I pull away, I'm huffing and puffing for air. "Wow!" he says chuckling against my lips. "It means a lot that you helped my two good friends!" I say to him. "It is not for free!" he says and I pull away to look at him. "What?" I ask him. "Goodnight." he says kissing my temple and gets inside his car. I don't get what he means by it in for now but I later understand it clearly the next day. I step inside the house smiling to myself because I can feel the taste of Shawn's lips on mine. I see all my Pack members staring at me with their hands on their hips. I know this is about Jasper watching me. "Goodnight." I say and quickly run towards the stairs. "It should not be repeated!" I hear Oscar shouting. "It won't!" I giggle and close the door to my room. **** I'm sitting on the floor leaning against Evie's wolf. It's upon us to decide the music for the wedding. While I'm selecting soft tracks, Evie is selecting all loud songs. 'Seriously Evie, you think Veronica will let us play Avenged sevenfold?" Just add it, will you? I will make her dance to that.' she says and I agree. "Hey girls." Ivan says standing beside us. "Hey." I say to him. "How is the music selection going?" "Inspector will kill me, all thanks to Evie." I say frowning while he chuckles. 'I need to ask you something Alpha.' Ivan says through the link. I look at him and raised my eyebrows. 'Cherry wants to join the pack.' he says while blushing. 'What's there to ask? I will accept her.' I tell him chuckling. 'I didn't tell her you are our Alpha.' 'Why not?' 'They can read her mind if she has not blocked them.' he says. 'Oh' I say. 'It's okay, just tell her to ask for permission from Shawn.' 'She has gone to ask him now!' he says and I nod. We continue discussing songs for the wedding and turns out Evie's song suggestions is better than Ivan's. We are arguing about a particular song when Cherry comes running and hugs Ivan tightly. She's crying non-stop and I know Shawn is the reason for that!
