VALERIE Veronica turned to look at me and smiled. 'I would hide him somewhere if I were you!' she said and winked. 'He is lucky to have you.' she continued and I blushed. And you can remove the dress now.' she said mock-glaring to which both Evie and I chuckled. Edith had lent me a silk-tie waist raspberry color shirt dress. The dress was extremely comfy and I didn't want to remove it. Okay may be, because Shawn told me that I looked beautiful. "We have to go shopping." she reminded me and I nodded. "I'll get my arrogant." I told her. **** "How do I look?" Edith asked me. "Ummm..... Something is not right." I told her sheepishly. "Yeah, it doesn't have that wow factor in it." Bella said. Evie, Cherry, Bella and I were all helping Edith pick a bridal gown and we didn't get the perfect one. Seems like the twenty second one is also rejected. "That's okay; there are still others that you can try!" the sales lady said excitedly. "I doubt there is anything here." Evie muttered. "There is hardly a week left and I still didn't get my dress." Edith said and slumped on the ground, she started sobbing. "Oh no, Edith... we can still check. Don't give up!" Cherry said and helped her stand up. "Don't cry, it's not good for the baby." I said. "I say, we go." Evie said and raised her hand. "Anyone with me?" she asked looking around and everyone frowned at her when Edith sobbed louder. "Fine!" she shrugged and lowered her hand. "Look, I have got another one. It is just made for you." the sales lady said and I rolled my eyes. Yeah, twenty three dresses were made only for Edith. Geez, get a new line. The dress was made of satin and it looked weird, imagine wearing it. Edith cried louder. "No...." she said and shook her head. "Anyone with me?" Evie asked again raising her eyebrows. We all nodded and left the store. We went to another boutique and my instincts told me that we are going to get the dress here. "Alpha, what do you think about this?" Bella asked and we all turned to look at the dress she was pointing behind the glass which was worn on a mannequin. It was beautiful. Perfect. The off shoulder dress had a gorgeous beading on the body and a dramatic cut to the full volume skirt. Now this was the dress that was designed for Edith. "It's beautiful!" Edith whispered even before I could utter a word. "It has the wow factor." Evie said. "Give it a try." I said and asked the sales girl to give that dress. Ten minutes later, Edith came out and my eyes widened when I looked at her. The dress was meant for her. "Say something." she whispered. "Wow!" we all said together and then laughed. "Nathan may forget his vows." Evie said and chuckled. **** "No." Edith said and shook her head in denial. It was our turn to pick a dress as a bridesmaid. We were trying dress after dress only to hear denial. This was my sixth try and I still wasn't happy with any. The continuous trying different gowns, walking from one store to another was tiring me. Edith would click my pic, check it on her phone and refuse my dress every time. "Screw it! I am tired, I'll wear jeans and come!" I muttered yawning and threw the gown ignoring the gasp from the sales girl. "You are not-" Edith was cut off from her rant when Evie brought in a dusk blue gown. "Try it." she said to me and I took the gown and poked my tongue at her. This will be the last one because all I wanted to do was sleep right now. The dress looked nice, it was a two piece A-line sleeveless gown with beautiful long train and fitted bodice. It was stunningly decorated with hand-beaded accents and embroidery throughout. I wore the dress and walked out, like expected Edith clicked my pic and checked it in her cell phone. "You look stunning!" Evie said who was also wearing the same and she too looked beautiful in it. "Does he approve?" Cherry asked staring at me with awe. "Does who, what?" I asked frowning and Cherry looked at me sheepishly. "Yeah." Edith said grinning and I narrowed my eyes at her. I got down from the platform and snatched her cell phone. She was sending my pic to Shawn and he was the one who was denying all the previous dresses. IDIOT, I texted him and he replied with a wink. I returned her cell phone and glared at her. "Hate to agree with your mate, but we do look good!" Evie said grinning. I saw myself in the mirror and true the dress looked good on me. I twirled a few times and everyone rolled their eyes at me. By the time I returned home after buying a dress for Cherry and Bella I was panting like a dog and so I just went and lied on the bed dropping the bags in the couch. I fell asleep as soon as my head touched against the soft pillow. "She is sleeping." I heard Shawn say. "Okay, they asked to pass her the information." It was... uh.... Trevor's voice. I woke up and yawned in an unlady like manner. Stretching my hands, I got up from the bed. Just then Shawn came in. "Pass the message." I said to him and he raised an eyebrow. "Don't do that." I said to his irritating habit. "Good morning." he said and I replied a 'same'. "What message?" I asked again and he growled once at me. Holding my hands he pulled me closer to him. His hands traced my arms and he crashed me against his chest. I realised at the closeness between us and how tiny I look when I'm in front of him. It's an insult to my Alpha pride. He kissed my nose and was about to kiss my lips when I pulled back. "Only after you tell what message." I said smirking but I was shocked when his holds on my hand loosened and he took few steps back. "Go, refresh. We'll talk later." he said and I frowned. I was about to use Evie's tricks when I realised my bad breath won't help me. After changing into a navy and white striped tank top with a white and blue flower print cotton skirt, I went downstairs. Shawn was pouring juice for us when I went downstairs. He looked his usual handsome self; wearing a black t-shirt with a dark green jacket over it along with navy blue jeans. His hair was his usual messy style which made him look sexier. "Hey." I said. "I cooked that." he said pointing to deep-fried scrambled eggs. "But it doesn't look edible!" I giggled. There was no way I could eat it. "Try next time." I said and went to kitchen. I was frying bacons when Shawn came and stood beside me. He had a guilty look in his face and I narrowed my eyes at him. "What?" I asked him. "Nothing." he said and went and opened the fridge while I continued frying bacons. I looked at Shawn who immediately looked away when I saw him. He without doubt was up to something. "Shawn?" "Hmm? "What did Trevor ask you to tell me?" "Nothing." he said again. "Uh-huh?" "Uh-huh." I giggled when he said that. Uh-huh. That was his reply. "Fine. Don't tell me!" I said in a small voice when I was placing the bacons in the plate. He came from behind and wrapped his arms around my waist. "My mate." he said and bit my earlobe. He then placed a small kiss there and I dropped the last piece of bacon down. Twirling me around so that I could face him, he placed me on the counter and was about to kiss me when I heard a voice coming from outside. "Princess." the same voice said from outside. Shawn growled and I grinned. "This is what you have been hiding?" I asked shaking my head at him. "Idiot!" I muttered and got down from the counter. I placed a peck on his lips and ran outside. "Nelson!" I called and went running to hug him. Nelson smiled warmly and spread his arms and caught me while I hugged him. "Princess!" he said and twirled me around. When Nelson pulled apart, two strong hands caught my arms and pushed me behind him. "Mine!" he growled thunderously at Nelson who just rolled his eyes. Nelson's Beta Baron was standing behind along with Ivan and Nathan. "It's okay." I said and tried to get past Shawn when he caught me and pulled me back to which Ivan and Nathan growled. "Let her go!" Nathan snapped and Shawn growled at him. He caught me by the waist tightly such that my back was towards Nathan. Immediately Jasper and Abed were standing behind Shawn and my jaw dropped open. "Seriously?" I asked Shawn and he growled at me. His pacific blue eyes were pitching black now. I growled back at him and he seemed to be surprised at that. "Let me go!" "No. You are mine. This wolf should know his place!" he said nodding at Nelson. "And where will that be?" Nelson asked amusingly while Shawn growled and took a step towards him. I turned to look at Nelson and frowned while he winked at me. "Bastard!" Shawn growled letting go off me before punching Nelson. He growled at him and punched back. "Stop it!" I screamed at them. Nelson likes fighting and he purposely baited Shawn, who took it. Urrgh! They were throwing punches at each other. After some time Shawn tackled Nelson to the ground and punched again. Nelson shoved Shawn off him and he fell a few steps away, shifting into his wolf in the process. I couldn't stop growling at Nelson. My wolf seriously didn't appreciate his behavior. "You're growling at me princess?" he asked me raising his eyebrows. "He is my mate, what else do you expect?" I snapped at him and he chuckled. Clearly he was having fun in this. "I hate you!" I said to Nelson and repeated the same to Shawn's black wolf who was standing in front of me protectively. "You love me princess." he said and that was it. Shawn leapt high in the air and tackled Nelson down who also shifted into his bronze colored wolf. They continued fighting and went to the back yard of the house. Idiots. I was so pissed at them that I wanted to kick both of their asses. I heard another set of growls and saw Jasper and Baron fighting in their wolf forms. What the hell is wrong with both Alphas and Betas? Jasper was one step away from crashing my arrogant when I screamed loudly. "Not my car, you douche bags!" I shouted stomping my foot on the ground and they stopped fighting to look at me. I sighed thinking they stopped but growled again when they ran towards the backyard. I ran behind Shawn and Nelson to the back yard of the house where they were fighting in their wolf forms with neither of them ready to back off. Ivan and Nathan who were chuckling stopped when I glared at them. I looked at the pipe attached to the house which I think was connected to the bathroom. Without a second thought I kicked the pipe hard so that the water could flow. Using my mind, I made the water flow hard on both Nelson and Shawn's boiling heads. It helped that they weren't standing much away from the pipe. They both stepped back but Shawn still came and stood next to me. "Here." Abed said and threw a pair of shorts at Shawn who took it in his mouth. He threw one each at Nelson, Jasper and Baron who caught it and went towards the woods. "Change!" I snapped at Shawn. He shifted back in front of me and I had to look away to stop myself from blushing. Strange, I must be an idiot to blush right now. Shawn came and was about to wrap his arms around me when I shoved him in the chest. "He. Is. My. Friend!" I said through gritted teeth. "Friend!! Do you get the meaning of the word?!" I yelled the last part and using my mind splashed the water on his head. Serves him right! "Not just any friend, a close friend!" Nelson said grinning and Shawn growled again. "Son of a-" Shawn was about to say but I cut him off. "I swear to goddess Nelson, I'll kill you myself if you don't shut your mouth!" I said through gritted teeth. "I am sorry princess. It's been very long since I fought with an Alpha." he said twisting his neck. He then stepped forward and extended his hands to Shawn, "Nelson Carlton, Alpha of the Waterfall Moon Pack." he said. Shawn stared at him for a whole minute and then extended his hand, "Shawn Franklin." he said and nodded. I looked at Jasper and frowned at him, "What? He was growling at me!" he said nodding at Baron who was smirking. "Stupid wolves!" I said loudly. Shawn was about to come close to me when again I used my mind and made the water fall on him. Everyone else there knew I could control water so they chuckled at him. That made my wolf mad and so I drenched all the male wolves laughing. Stupid wolves!
