SHEILA IS BACK
VALERIE
"She should be out by now." Jasper told me. We were waiting outside the airport to receive Sheila.
After cooling down, I went and talked to Amelia. I asked her to call Sheila back and she agreed immediately. I was surprised why she agreed but she just told me that it's her one chance to rectify the mistakes she had done by separating us as siblings from each other.
Six years of our life we had been parted from each other. Though I left on my free will, she had no right to separate Sheila and Jasper.
I didn't speak to Sheila in the phone because I didn't think she would be pleased to see me. She would hate me because I was the reason she was sent away after all. But still I came to the airport to bring her back to home.
Jasper had already told her that I was here but I didn't ask him neither did he tell me what her response was. And so it only made me think that she wasn't happy that I was here.
If she wasn't happy then I decided to stay out of her way. But at least I want to see how she is, that's why I came to the airport.
"There she is!" Jasper said bringing me out of my thoughts, he was looking behind my shoulders and I knew he was looking at Sheila.
He walked past me probably to help her with her luggage. I took a deep breath and turned around to face my sister after six years.
She was here.
I saw her passing her bag to Jasper. She was wearing a red coat upon her dress, a high heeled sandals and holding a bag in her hand. I will bet you that everything she wore was of the top most brands of the world.
Her dark blonde hair was left lose, and her green eyes had sparkle in it. She didn't look like some high school queen bee; she looked like a top class working woman.
As far as I know Sheila, she was and is a brand freak. She started walking ahead and stopped in her tracks when she saw me.
"Valerie!" she whispered my name.
I bit my bottom lip and waved at her. I stood frozen in my place; I was scared to take a step.
"Is that you?" she asked again.
"Hi." I whispered and smiled at her. She took a few steps towards me and suddenly I felt I was underdressed. I was wearing my usual dark jeans and converse with pink and grey striped pullovers.
I cleared my throat and smiled again. "Hi." I said a little louder this time.
"Oh my goddess!" she said and hugged me.
Okay, that took me by surprise because I totally wasn't expecting it. I didn't know what else to do so I hugged her back. She pulled away a little later.
"How are you?" I asked her.
"I am fine, how are you? Where were you all this time?" she asked me and there was concern in her eyes.
"I am fine. All this time I was safe." I reply. "How was it for you there?" I asked her.
"I learnt everything about life there." she said blinking back the tears that were forming. It confirmed my thoughts that she had to face lots of difficulties when she lived in a hostel.
"I am sorr-" I began but she cut me off.
"No. There is no need to apologise. It was... is my fault. I was the eldest one and I should have taken care of you both but I didn't." she said and sniffed. "I.... I wasn't a good sister!" she said to which both Jasper and I shook our heads.
"Don't say that!" I said.
"It isn't your fault." Jasper said. "Nothing like this would have happened if we were brought up properly." he commented.
"But I shou-" she started but I cut her off.
"It's all in the past now. We can't undo what happened." I said and Jasper agreed.
"Let us just leave the past in the past." he said.
"I will, only if I know that you have forgiven me." Sheila said looking at me and a drop of tear escaped her eyes.
"There is nothing to be forgiven. You were sent away because of me. I should be the one saying sorry." I told her and she shook her head.
"No, Valerie-"
"Okay instead of repeating again and again let's say everything is forgotten and forgiven." Jasper said to us.
Sheila and I sniffed and nodded in unison.
"Good. Let's begin it again with a hug." he said and stretched his hands. We both hugged him from either side and he kissed our heads.
"I missed us!" Sheila said.
"Me too." I said.
"Me three!" Jasper said and I looked at him.
"You sound just like Evie." I said.
"Evie? Jasper's mate?" Sheila asked me and I nodded.
"What can I say? Special effects of being close to her." Jasper said dreamily.
"By the holy goddess Jasper, you sound like a girl." Sheila said shaking her head disapprovingly while he frowned at her and I had to bite back my laughter at this.
"I do not!" Jasper defended himself.
"You so do." Sheila said waving off Jasper's glare.
"Okay, let's go home. We have a wedding to attend in the evening." I said so that they wouldn't argue here.
"Wedding? Who's getting married?" Sheila asked confused.
"My third..... I mean my pack's Third-in-command." I said and turned to open the back door of my Arrogant so that they couldn't see me closing my eyes shut as I realised my mistake while introducing Nathan.
"Your Pack?" she asked me frowning and I nodded. "You didn't join the Pack after knowing Shawn is your mate?" she asked me with eyes as wide as saucers.
"Ummm... No." I said guiltily.
"But why not? He is your mate!" she said shocked.
"It's a little complicated." I told her while Jasper placed her bag in the backseat.
"You mean you guys are not together?" she asked in a gasp.
"No... I mean we are together but it is not officially declared." I told her atleast I didn't officially accept the title of being a Luna. She brushed apart my hair from the neck and gasped louder this time.
"He has not even marked you!" she said frowning. "I thought Alpha's are possessiv!e" she added.
"Trust me, they are." I sighed because even I was. I wanted to kill Brianna's niece when she was eye raping Shawn in the super market.
"Then?"
"Uh... I'll tell you everything later. Right now, we have to hurry because I am the maid of honor." I told her and opened the door of the driver's seat pushing aside a pouting Jasper who was standing near the door. I so won't let him drive my Arrogant.
Sheila sat in the passenger seat while Jasper sat behind crossing his arms in his chest like a child. Sheila decided to stay in Jasper's place until she searches for an apartment in city. She refused to stay with me and Shawn because she felt like she was being an intruder and since Evie doesn't stay with Jasper she agreed.

"Nervous?" I asked Edith handing a dozen of long stemmed red roses to her. The wedding ceremony would start in five minutes.
"A little, but I love him." she said smiling.
"Aww!" Evie and I said in admiration.
"Ready?" Edith's dad asked her and paused in his way. "You look very beautiful my sugar pie!" he said and sighed. "I always tried to keep you away from guys." he said and then sniffed.
"Uncle, this is a happy day so..." Evie said and wiped his cheeks. "No tears" she said and he chuckled lowly.
"Tears of happiness." he said proudly.
"I love you dad." Edith said and hugged her dad.
"Quick, let us go before Nathan comes here." Evie said and then the wedding ceremony began.
"You may now kiss the bride!" the minister said and the bride and her groom kissed. Aww!
I bent my head sideward and looked at Nathan and Edith with awe. Evie who was standing behind me and had the same smile whispered a little awe. They have been together for years and every single day their love for each other strengthened. I used to see Nathan and wished for a mate like that and I got one too, but it was me who was ruining everything.
I decided that tonight I am going to tell him the truth. I waited until the wedding because I wanted it to go smoothly but tonight I am going to be brave and tell him the truth about myself.
I turned to look at Shawn. He was sitting beside Jasper, his gaze was on me. He was wearing a white button down shirt with a charcoal grey waist coat over it. The top buttons of his shirt was kept open and the sleeves were rolled up to his elbows. The dark boots totally matched with his charcoal grey trousers. The formal was totally a look meant for him.
He looked rich and sexy, which he is by the way.
When my eyes connected with his I saw his going a darker shade of blue. I blushed because I knew what his thoughts were, Idiot.
I was in the same sleeveless dusk blue gown I had picked up. I curled my hair a little at the down after brushing it sideward.
Shawn was still gazing at me and I gulped a little. By now the ceremony was over. I turned my head to look at Nathan and Edith who were smiling at the guests who were all clapping and cheering at them.
"It's so good!" I whispered and handpicked a second cupcake to eat.
"I know. I want another, by the way I met Sheila." Evie said and took another one kept in the tray. We were secretly eating the cupcakes, hiding behind the decorated tables from everyone when someone cleared their throats behind us.
"Where did you park your car?" Oscar asked and his eyes widened when he saw what we were eating. "Why wasn't I invited?" he asked in a whisper and bent down to sit with us. He was wearing a black suit and he looked really handsome.
"Take any one." I told him and "You spoke to her?" I asked Evie before taking a bite from my cupcake.
"Yes, I will say I liked her." she said.
"Liked who?" Oscar asked eating.
"Sheila." I said.
"Your sister has come?" he asked me and I nodded. "When?"
"Today morning." I said and he bobbed.
"Where is she staying?" he asked me.
"Jasper's house and my Arrogant's parked there. The keys might be in the hall table." I told him and he nodded. My car has a special place in Nathan's and Edith's heart and they asked to be driven by it to the airport when they leave for their honeymoon.
"Okay, I'll go and get it then." he said and got up after taking another two pieces of cupcakes. "Is your sister still there?" he asked me and I nodded while he smirked which I knew all too well.
"No Oscar. Don't. This is Sheila we are talking about and she might alert the entire Pack if you do anything stupid!" I warned him to which he just shrugged.
"A little revenge." he said and went away. I glared at him and looked at the tray only to see it empty. I growled while Evie grinned.
Nelson and few members of his Pack left as soon as the wedding was over because he had to be to another Pack by tomorrow morning and the idiot didn't mention it earlier. Edith was mad about it because he left before the bride or the groom left.
The only person who was happy that Nelson left was standing next to me and grinning.
"I would have kicked him out anyway." Shawn said ignoring my frown. He came close and kissed the tip of my nose and that completely wiped the frown off my face, replacing it with burning cheeks.
"You look beautiful." he said and I rolled my eyes because he kept on saying that ever since I wore the dress which apparently is chosen by him and all the thanks goes to Edith who apparently has gone to get dressed before leaving for her honeymoon.
"The dress is heavy. Come, let's go home, I want to change it." I told him and also tell you the truth I thought to myself.
"You want me to help you?" he asked smirking and I playfully slapped his chest.
After slipping into my jeans I pulled the pullovers down over my head and went to open the door. Deep breaths I thought to myself.
I was finally about to do it, finally going to tell him the truth about myself.
"Come on Valerie. You are strong, you are brave." I muttered and opened the door.
I followed Shawn's smell and saw that he was sitting in the couch in the living room reading a file. He too changed into a black singlet and track pants.
Ooof, I let out a breath.
The shirt just showed me how nicely shaped his chest and defined his muscles in the arms were. I had the urge to trail my fingers over it. Pervert Valerie!
"Done checking me out?" his sexy voice brought me out of my thoughts.
"I wasn't checking you out!" I muttered more to myself than to him.
"I know you weren't." he said sarcastically.
Shaking my head I went and sat beside him leaving little space between us so that it will help me to think.
"Ummm.... Actually.... Uh...." I began but was cut off by him.
"What?" he asked anxiously.
"Okay." I said and took a deep breath. "I... uh... I want to tell you something." I said and met his pacific blue eyes.
"Go ahead." he said narrowing his eyes and I gulped.
"Okay... I, I'm not..." I said and closed my eyes tightly because I didn't want to see his reaction when I tell him because I was scared and felt nervous.
When I felt his hands on my waist pulling me so that I can sit on his lap I squealed and became so nervous that I started shivering.
"What is it? What's bothering you?" he asked me. I still kept my eyes closed and refused to look at him. "Valerie," he called in a soft voice. "Look at me." he said and how could I deny him?
I opened my eyes and swallowed loudly. "What is it?" he asked again and kissed my cheeks.
I was ready. I am prepared to do this and I will.
"I wanted to say that, I... am a-" I said but was cut off when I heard a voice in my head.
'Val, where are you?" Evie asked me.
'House.' I said and looked at Shawn. He must have understood that I was communicating with my Pack because he was looking at me curiously.
'Come soon. They are leaving.' she said. Shit! I forgot that they are leaving.
'I'll be there.' I said and got up from his lap.
"Where are you going to?" Shawn asked me.
"Nathan and Edith are leaving. I need to say bye. Will come back soon." I said and pecked his lips.
"You were about to say something." he reminded.
"It can wait." I said and rushed out of the door.
If only I knew that this was my last chance to speak the truth!
