EPILOGUE

VALERIE I suck at this...I really do! I couldn't even think of a cool gift for Shawn. Then I asked my stupid friends who had the stupidest ideas in the world. Well, let me tell you what they all said. Edith- I thought she was the genius one and she suggested that I wear sexy lingerie for him. Idea cancelled because I don't have the guts to wear that. Nathan- thinking about it. Oscar- a new cool laptop. Cancel, because I don't want to give him that. Cherry- I agree with Edith. So, cancel. Nathan- Keeps thinking. Evie- a camera. Cancel Jasper- How about a car? And when I told him Shawn already has one he pouted because he thought I was buying one for him. Sheila- Set a romantic dinner for him. I am considering this option, but I am not so much linto it. Ivan- a porn movie d.v.d. That is why he was my last option. Nathan- I'm still thinking. So, here I am right now standing outside his office door, about to give the gift that I finally brought for him. I did bake a cake for him that he cut last night but I want to give a real gift for him, so I bought this. I hope he likes it! Taking a deep breath, I knocked the door and at the first knock he asked me to come inside. You can do it Valerie. You are strong, you are brave I kept muttering to myself. Using my shoulders I pushed the door open because my hands were busy holding the gift. "What is that?" Shawn asked me when he saw the large box in my hand. I placed it in his table and sighed. "Your gift." I told him and he cocked an eyebrow at which I frowned. He got up from his chair and started removing the tape. When he was done he kept staring at the gift and I got scared he will not like it. "Since you are going to be professionally qualified as an architect this year end, I thought you would need it but I think you don't. It's okay if you don't I mean I know you already have some of those but-" I was stopped mid-sentence when he smashed his lips against mine. "Thank-you!" he told me after pulling away. I sighed and placed my head on his shoulders. "You really like it?" I asked after sometime. "Yeah, I do. It's really good." he said smiling and I knew he wasn't lying. I had bought him an architect's kit which had all the necessary tools of architect like tracing paper, compass, scales, triangles, sketchbooks, sharpies, markers, tape dots, lead pointer along with camera and laptop. "The laptop is from Oscar, ask him the name of the model and the camera is from Evie." I told him and he seemed surprised. Oscar and Evie both said they were giving it to him to say Thank-you and both idiots didn't tell me for what. They also said an architect needed that too. "I am glad you liked it." I told him and kissed him. Before we could get carried away and start making out in his office, he pulled away. "I need to..." he said trailing away from me and stopped to open a drawer in his desk. He seemed to be deep in thought so I walked closer. "No. Stay there only." he shouted when I took a step towards him. His behavior confused me. "Okay" I said with narrowed eyes. He then sighed and pulled a velvet pouch from the drawer. Walking towards me he opened the pouch that had a beautiful silver chain in it with a silver locket of a wolf howling. It was beautiful. "Grandma gave it to you." he told me and I smiled at him. "Put it on me." I asked him and turned around picking my hair up a little. The silver felt cold when it touched my skin and reached just above the valley between my breasts. I looked at Shawn who smiled approvingly. "Looks good on you!" he said and I giggled. "I need to go to the Pack house. I will see you later." I told him and kissed him again. When I arrived at the Pack House, the first thing I saw was Oscar and Nathan dressed up to go back. "Where are you going?" I asked them confused. They didn't have any luggage since they came here in a hurry. "I have a pregnant wife and honeymoon ticket waiting for me." Nathan said and walked past me after kissing my forehead. Yes! They are finally going to their honeymoon. Sheila booked the ticket for them since she considers herself responsible for the failure of their last time. "And you?" I asked Oscar folding my arms against my chest. "I have got to go. Sheila is waiting for me." he said grinning and I rolled my eyes. "When will you be coming?" he asked me and I frowned at him. "I'll be coming tomorrow to hand over the title to you." I told him. "We will see!" he said grinning and walked past me. I narrowed my eyes suspiciously at Oscar because he seemed very happy. I expected him to be in a bad mood, since he refused to take the title notwithstanding what I said. "Oscar I am serious!" I said to him. "Sure. Will see you at home.... Alpha!" he said winking at me and got inside the cab that was waiting for them. Fred was also there in the car. "Bye dear." I said to him and the boy smiled genuinely at me. Evie had applied some ointment to his face that would soon heal his scar marks. I called Bella yesterday and told her about Fred's arrival. "Bye Oscar." Evie too said from beside me. "We will meet you tomorrow " she added and I turned to look at her. "You are going tomorrow?" I asked her and she nodded. "What about Jasper?" I asked frowning. "He is coming with me. He should, after all I gifted him a new BMW today!" she said grinning. "You did?" I asked smiling. "Yep, I felt bad that he had no car." she said shrugging. "Go pack your bags, we have a long journey tomorrow." she said and ran towards the Pack House before I could ask her anything else. She won't be coming back with me? Jasper is the beta of this pack. What is happening behind my back? Frowning, I went inside our house and was surprised to see boxes packed in the house. White covers were placed over the couches and it worried me. "Shawn!?" I called loudly. "Up here." he said from upstairs and I rushed to our room only to see him placing his clothes in a bag. There were hardly two shirts left in the closet, everything was already packed. I was surprised to see that. We are only going for a day. "What are you doing?" I asked him in a whisper. What he was doing meant only one thing and I wasn't ready to believe it. "Packing, you too pack your clothes." he told me. "Then why are the cushions covered down?" I asked him. "Because we are moving." he said in a duh tone. "Moving, where?" I asked him. Zipping the bag, he turned to look at me and smiled. "We are officially moving to Riverside Moon Pack." he told me and I stared at him with wide eyes. "You have done a lot for me Valerie, it's time I do something for you as well." he said and wrapped his arms around my waist. "I love you and I will do whatever it takes to keep you happy. This place doesn't do that. Your Pack does that. They are your home and they are your family but of course, they come after me." he said, giving me a wolfish grin while tears rolled down my cheek. "What about your Pack?" I asked him. I knew he loved being an Alpha. Yes, he can be the Alpha even as my mate but he is rightfully the Alpha of this Pack. "Abed is going to take over from tomorrow." he said as it was no big deal. Yes, Abed can take over he has an Alpha blood after all he is Shawn's cousin. "You will not miss them?" I asked him. "You have been here all your life. You don't have to do this for me!" I argued. "It is either them or watching my mate sad and I already told you what I wanted." he said grinning. "Besides if the need arises we can help them!" he said. "You have it all planned?" I asked him curiously. "Yes. Ever since I saw you with your Pack I have been thinking about this. They treat you like a baby over there and I would die a happy man watching you live like that. Remember the meeting you walked into that day?" he asked me and I nodded. "It was about a land in the Riverside Moon Pack where I was planning to build a building, since it is your pack but now I am planning to build a house for us over there!" he said to me. I sobbed and wrapped my arms around him. "I love you!" I said in between my sobs. "I love you so much!" I said again while he placed his hands on my butt and carried me taking most of my weight with him. He then sat on the bed while I straddled him. Pulling away, he wiped my tears with his thumb. I stared at those pacific blue eyes and felt the need to get lost in it. "You told it Oscar about this and that is why he gifted you the laptop?" "Yep, I heard you both talking yesterday and then I told him about my decision, the guy actually hugged me!" Shawn said slightly terrified and I couldn't help but smile imagining Oscar and Shawn hugging. "So even Jasper is moving?" "If he doesn't, your friend will kill him!" he replied grinning. Now I understood what Evie meant. I was glad we were all moving back home. "The temple?" "You do know we cannot take the temple with us, don't you?" Shawn teased while I growled lowly at him. I knew that, it's just the temple has so much history. I hope Abed protects the temple with his life. "Are you sure?" I asked him. I was so happy that Shawn did this for me but also I wanted to be fully sure about it. It shouldn't be a decision made in haste. "One hundred percent!" he said and crashed his lips against mine. When he pulled away, I was huffing and puffing for air. "It's your birthday and I should be giving you gifts not the other way around!" I told him and he chuckled. He had given me the chain in the morning and now this. I couldn't be happier. I will forever thank the moon Goddess for making him my mate. **** It was late at night. We had done almost all the packing. While we were packing few members of Shawn's pack who knew about him handing over the title arrived and tried to convince him to change his mind, but failed miserably. I did feel bad for them but it was like Shawn had his mind set and no one was able to change it not even me. I knew he was a good Alpha and his Pack loved him, but I also knew my pack would also love him. Oscar called me later in the evening and was relieved to hear I agreed with Shawn's decision and I am continuing as Alpha. He also said the last success party will be organised tomorrow and we had to be there before that. Now, after a good shower, I got ready to go to bed. When I went to the bedroom the first thing I sensed was Shawn's tension and it bothered me. "What's wrong?" I asked him. "Just one more gift." he mumbled softly extending a small velvet jewelry box to me. "Another?" I asked in shock, flipping open the lid to stare at a beautiful diamond ring. "What is this for?" I questioned and he stared at me like I had grown two heads. Then sighing. he shook his head. "Fine. I will say it out loud. Marry me?" Shawn asked and I gasped in shock. Standing up, he removed the ring from the box and waited for my reply. "Dear Goddess...yes!" I told him extending the correct finger. "You're sure?" he queried once more, looking and smiling appreciatively at the ring in my finger. "A hundred percent sure." I whispered replaying his own words and jumped over him, wrapping my legs around his waist. He chuckled at my tactics but still carried me, while I nestled my head against his neck. "God, I love you!" I told him kissing his neck. Quickly pulling away, I crashed my lips against his and kissed him passionately. Very soon he took control of the kiss and we made love tenderly. Later, while we were lying on the bed with his arms wrapped around me, I cried with tears of happiness again. Shawn's fingers were tracing the glitzy engagement ring on my finger. "I know it is your birthday but I feel like I am the happiest person in the world!" I told him, resting my chin on his chest and staring at the pacific blue eyes that had me captivated in them ever since the moment I came to know that he was my mate. "You cannot be happier than me!" he said grinning at me and I kissed him on the lips. "Did my friends know about this?" "No. they just knew I was leaving the Pack. I wanted to ask you in the morning but I chickened out!" he said and I giggled. No wonder he was acting strange today morning when I gave him the gift. "I love you Valerie." He told me tracing his thumb on the beauty spot just below my lips. "And I promise I will always protect you, always!" he assured me and I smiled at him. "I love you Shawn Franklin!" I told him and kissed him hungrily. Wrapping the robe around me, I stood near the bedroom window and looked at the moon in the sky. Everything felt beautiful and I knew everything was beautiful. The future would be beautiful and I had bright hopes for my future with Shawn, with my Pack. Tomorrow after Shawn announces his decision, we will be going to the Riverside Moon Pack where he will be the Alpha and I will be the Alpha female or Luna as it is commonly called. I doubt my Pack will ever call me Luna, even if I will be one. But since a Luna is other half of the Alpha, they might just call me Alpha. I will meet my friends and Pack again. I will be home again. This time hopefully we will start killing less and living life a little more. But something will never change because I was and will always be the daughter of the Goddess. My mother will always be with me, guiding me and if the evil tries to rise again then this white wolf will come again to destroy it. For, I am the daughter of the Goddess. I am the white wolf and- Well, I'm an Alpha too!
