ASLEENA'S POV.
"Mrs. Asleena, someone left a parcel for you," Roger said as he placed a package on Asleena's desk.
Asleena's gaze immediately shifted to Roger. Asleena's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, looking at the package in front of her with a questioning expression.
"Whose parcel is it?" she asked before touching the package on her desk. Her eyes lit up with wariness.
Roger also looked confused as he looked at the package. Moments ago he had only gotten a delivery from the receptionist, and even the receptionist had gotten a delivery from the security guard.
When Roger asked the receptionist and the security guard, they both replied that they did not know who gave the package. Because the security guard who gave it in the first place was also entrusted by the package courier who was not told the name of the sender of this package.
Roger then shook his head after trying to remember it all.
"I don't know, Mrs. Asleena. I got it from the receptionist in the lobby, while the receptionist was entrusted by the security guard who was given the package courier. Everyone doesn't know who sent the package," Roger replied explaining in detail.
Asleena winced at Roger's words. It felt like Roger's explanation was so complicated just by hearing it. Asleena sighed heavily when she realized that Roger didn't know who sent this package.
"Oh my. Why would someone send a package without including their name?" Asleena muttered in a grumbling tone.
Asleena then sighed heavily as she pulled the package box in front of her. With both curiosity and excitement, Asleena opened the box. There was a sense of wariness and caution as Asleena opened the package box as her mind envisioned bad possibilities.
Asleena stopped moving for a moment to think about what was inside the box. Asleena was already worried that the person who sent her this package had some kind of intentions towards her.
"I don't know why I feel so uncomfortable opening this package box," Asleena expressed her feelings.
While in front of Asleena, Roger finally took over the package box and opened it using a cutter. Roger let Asleena not touch the package box in order to avoid anything dangerous.
"Looks like the person who sent this didn't want you to know," Roger replied as he opened the box. "If Mrs. Asleena wants to know who-wait, what is this?"
Roger's words were suddenly diverted to another topic as he noticed a strange item. Roger remained silent with a furrowed brow for a few seconds, taking an intense look at the item inside the box.
"What is this, Mrs. Asleena?" asked Roger without taking his eyes off the items in the box.
Asleena also frowned after Roger said that. Asleena immediately stood up from her position and looked into the contents of the package box.
She was surprised to see that the items inside the box were several gifts, a medium-sized photo frame, and a doll with items familiar to her. Asleena knew very well that all the items in this box were gifts from Robert.
Asleena let out a long sigh as she slumped her shoulders limply. Asleena didn't know why Robert had sent these things to her. Even though almost all of these items were unused by her, Asleena had even forgotten all of this.
"Oh my..." Asleena said weakly as she brushed her hair back. She looked down languidly while supporting her hunched body with both hands. "Why does that guy even send me silly things like this?"
Roger turned his gaze to Asleena and looked surprised. Roger didn't know why Asleena was grumbling like this.
"That guy?" Roger asked confused. He had never heard stories about any man other than Benny. "Who is Mrs. Asleena referring to?"
After Roger said that, Asleena lifted her weary face. Asleena really didn't want to keep seeing what Robert sent. But it turned out that Robert really did not leave her presence immediately.
"Robert. My ex-boyfriend," Asleena said, then let out a rough sigh. "How did he get the address of this company?"
Roger immediately glared in surprise and confusion. "Your ex-boyfriend? I've never heard of you having an ex-boyfriend," Roger retorted.
Asleena sighed heavily and nodded her head.
"I really didn't tell anyone because my relationship with him didn't work out," Asleena replied in a sluggish tone.
Roger watched Asleena who looked very lethargic. Roger felt sorry because he saw Asleena seemed uncomfortable and disturbed.
"He shouldn't show up in my life anymore," Asleena said later, letting out a harsh sigh. "I already warned him yesterday, he doesn't need to come anymore because I don't want to mend fences with him anymore."
"Does he know you're married to Mr. Benny?" asked Roger, his tone and expression very serious.
Asleena nodded her head. "He even talked to Benny, Roger. He said in front of Benny that he wouldn't stop approaching me."
Hearing Asleena's words made Roger put his hands on his waist. Roger suddenly thought about how bad the impact of what Asleena had just told him was.
"That man was very desperate to get close to you, Mrs. Asleena. He shouldn't have said that in front of you and Mr. Benny," said Roger who was also worried.
Asleena nodded again. "I wouldn't have melted if Robert had tried to get close to me, but I was worried about how Benny would feel."
"Of course Mr. Benny will be upset if he finds out," Roger replied. "How did Mr. Benny react when he heard Robert's words?"
"Yesterday after Robert came and Robert said that, Benny was upset. Even though he usually talks a lot, at the dinner table he was silent. He didn't seem to want to talk until I had to persuade him." Asleena let out a harsh sigh at the end of the sentence.
Roger looked even more agitated when Asleena said that. The problem was that Roger had just been relieved that Asleena's problems with Bella, Benny's ex-girlfriend, were over. But now it was Asleena's ex-lover who came and disrupted their relationship.
"I have no way to get rid of Robert. What if Benny finds out he sent this package box?" Asleena complained as she looked at the package box in front of her with an exasperated look.
Roger also noticed the package box on Asleena's desk. His brain was spinning to find a way to stop the man named Robert from his plan to disrupt Asleena and Benny's relationship.
"I think for the time being, in order to hide from Mr. Benny, you should dispose of this package, Mrs. Asleena," Roger made a serious suggestion.
Asleena had already thought of something like that. But for some reason, Asleena imagined that Robert would be offended by her actions if he found out about it. If that was the case, Asleena would definitely have to face Robert who was getting more and more stubborn to get close to her.
"Won't Robert know that I threw away his package?" Asleena asked, her tone sounding worried.
"Are you afraid that Robert will do something worse than what he's doing now?" Robert asked in a serious tone.
Asleena nodded briefly and slowly. She didn't want to think too much about it either.
"That's right. I know Robert's character very well. If he knew and took offense, he would definitely try harder than before," Asleena said in a languid tone.
"You don't have to worry, I'll take responsibility for that," Roger replied, sounding very convincing.
Asleena lifted her face and showed a hopeful expression to Roger. She could see Roger trying to reassure her. Asleena began to feel her doubts slowly fading away.
"He won't do anything, I assure you that," Roger said with a reassuring nod.
"Alright..."
