Kristen's POV 'Are you okay?" Ian asks as we drive away 'Yes, just my chest hurts again" 'We should probably tell your dad since mom already knows about it" 'No. Not now. I want to have a normal life with him. I don't want him constantly worrying about me for a while" Ian sighed. 'Well, at least let me take you to the doctor" I nod. We got to the hospital and he waited for me to finish. I have already talked to my doctor and after a long talk and convincing I had to tell her, she let me go home. 'So, how was it?" Ian asks as we drive home 'Uhm she said, it's normal to have chest pains and she gave me some medicine to ease them. Nothing to worry about" 'She didn't advise you to take a surgery or something?" 'Nope" I shake my head 'She said, I will still be fine" 'Okay" he says and we stopped I got down from the car and another car stopped behind us. 'Hi dear!" Grandma Melody says as she hugs me 'Oh and I hope you don't mind" she says pointing to someone and I look over who it was and It was Sebastian. 'Oh uhhh---" Ian saved me 'Grandma, I don't think it's okay to bring him along today" 'Why is that? I called your dad, and he was okay with it. He also said I'm old and someone needs to drive for me" Grandma says smiling 'Kyle is here today, we'll drop you off if you want?" I suggest 'Oh dear, I wouldn't want to disturb him. It's just dinner right? Come now" She says and we all walked inside We went to the living room and saw my dad laughing with Kyle. 'Oh Kristen! Here, I bought this for you" Kyle says as he hands me a large pack of skittles 'Ooohhh! Thank you! You don't know how much I craved this for a while" 'When did you have a thing for sweets?" Ian asks 'Just recently" I answer as I open it and eat some then mom grabbed it away from me 'Mom!" I scream 'No candies before dinner. Now come, let's start" She says and I roll my eyes at her and they just laughed We all sat down. Beside me is Kyle and Sebastian, while on the other side is Mom, Ian and Grandma and daddy in the Middle. I tried to reach for some Carbonara but it's just too far away. 'Here let me help you" Sebastian's says and reached for it and put some in my plate 'Thank you" I answer casually 'Kyle, can you give me some garlic bread" I ask him and he gives me some 'Thank you Kylie!!!" I say and Kyle chuckles We all just started eating. When my dad decided to talk. 'So, you're Sebastian Harris" he says 'Uhh Yes sir. Sorry to come in last minute" he says 'It's fine. I was also curious about you, since my daughter cried over you before" he says 'Dad!" I screamed at him and glared, Mom held my dad's hand 'Honey, not now please" she says He didn't talk and just continued to eat. 'I need to go outside I announce" and left 'I'll check on her" Kyle says as he follows me We took a walk outside and Kyle draped his jacket over me. 'Thanks" I mumbled 'You still love him don't you?" He says I didn't talk I just let him talk to me. I just sighed 'You know, it's obvious you still love him, what's stopping you? That I don't know" he says as we sat down on a bench. I took a deep breath 'Love is such a funny thing, you know that? Sometimes, it makes you feel like you don't understand the idea of it." He chuckled 'Love is such a funny thing alright, it's a mystery, one can never solve. But one thing is for sure, I know you still do love him. How you look at him like he's the only guy in the place and how you still think about him sometimes" 'I don't even know if I still do" I whisper 'Maybe you're just scared of what might happen again that he might hurt you again" he says 'Maybe I am" I answer and we both stayed silent staring into the night sky I really wonder why didn't I fall for someone like Kyle? Why did it had to be Sebastian of all people. Kyle wouldn't hurt me. He comes to me when I need him. But Bianca was right, we can't force someone to love us and I can't force myself to love someone either. Was I wrong when I told her I don't love him anymore? If I don't love him, why was I so worked up when he told me he was sorry and he learned about his mistakes? Or Maybe Kyle is right, maybe I am scared, but not to get hurt again, but to hurt him all over again. I can't believe, after what he did to me, I am still worried I might hurt him if I forgive him. Love makes you a different person does it? 'I think we should go back" Kyle says and I just nod When we got to the house, my dad and mom was cleaning up together with Grandma Melody but Sebastian was nowhere to be found. I went to the living room to sit down, and Kyle wanted to help but they said it was fine. So, he went to sit beside me while we watch some cartoons. 'Do you want me to get your skittles for you?" Kyle says And I smiled like a kid and nod. He was about to stand up when, Sebastian came out of nowhere and handed me the pack of Skittles. 'Oh, uhh Thanks" I say and started eating them while I watch Bunnicula, a cartoon that the main character was a vampire rabbit. 'I don't even know how they understand him. He's talking blahblah" Kyle says and I chuckled 'That only means he knows him so well that they could understand each other" I say 'I am with you for so many years, and you talk normally but I still don't understand you" Kyle says and I smack his head 'You're not a good friend!" I say and he chuckled Sebastian was just watching and stealing glances from time to time. Well, I guess he's back to his old self. After that, Kyle said his goodbyes and then left. While dad and mom talks to Sebastian about somethings, Me and Grandma Melody went to the front porch and just sat down on the swing. 'I saw you at the hospital earlier with Ian, are you okay?" she asks What Do I say? 'Uhm, yes grandma. I just started having this chest pains and had it checked but I'm fine" 'Good to hear" she says and she went silent for a while, and I stare at her. 'I'm leaving soon, My sister, asked me to move in with her, she lives in Japan." 'Oh, I'm glad to hear you and her spoke again" I answer 'Yes, I'm glad too. But I'm worried about my grandson. Him and his father is not in good terms, and Sebastian asked me if he could live in my house and I couldn't say no but I want him to have a good relationship with his father" 'Oh, maybe if they both tried to be on the good side, something will change?" I ask 'That's the problem. His father tries to have this good relationship with him but Sebastian is consumed by this unknown anger" I didn't know what to tell her, as I don't know what's happening to his life right now. 'When you were with him, I see that he was trying to change that but then again, I won't force you to be with him again if you really don't love him anymore. But please, Kristen, if you still do, will you watch him for me?" She asked me with teary eyed and I nod. 'Maybe one day, I'd learn to forgive him and it will all work out." I smiled and so did she. We hugged each other and then after it was time to go home. 'So, we met him. That was the guy you were crying about, he seemed nice and was willing to do anything for you" Dad says 'He hurt me, and you're not mad about it?" I asked him 'I am mad. But he convinced us so yeah, more like we forgave him" 'Ugh I can't believe you guys" I say standing up 'Go to bed now, you still need to go to school tomorrow." Mom says and I went upstairs I dropped myself onto my bed and laid my phone on the night stand, only to a find a note and little box. --I know a piece of jewelry will not change the fact that I have sinned but please do remember, this ring is a promise that I will forever be sorry for what had happened, I hope to see you wear it when the time comes you forgive me -S--- I open the box and it was a promise ring. I stare at it for a while and closed it again, I shut my eyes close and took a deep breath. I put the ring inside my drawer, I won't say I won't ever wear it but I don't think I would now.
