Sebastian's POV 'Grandma!" I shout as I got home 'Oh I almost forgot, there is food in the refrigerator, you can reheat it if you want. I'm going to see a friend" as she checks her bag I chuckled 'If I knew your friend was Kristen I would've forced you to take me then" She looked at me and narrowed her eyes 'How did you know?" 'She's back at school and some friends told me, that you are going there tonight so, I'm taking you there" She sighed and fish out her phone cursing me lowly, I just chuckled. 'Hello dear, yes, would you mind if I bring my grandson Sebastian over? I forgot to leave him something to eat, would that be alright dear?" she says through the phone She nods and hummed in response. 'Okay, we'll be there in a sec. Thank you dear" she says and hung up 'So?" I ask 'Well, her dad said he'd be happy to have you and he's curious on how you look like and your personality" 'Things I do for love" I say and took a deep breath, I'm meeting her dad, for the first time ever. 'Let's go" The drive to their house seemed to long but when we got there, I saw Ian's car and she got down. My grandmother went down first and then she said 'Hi dear!" Grandma Melody says as she hugs Kristen 'Oh and I hope you don't mind" she says pointing to me. 'Oh uhhh---" She stuttered 'Grandma, I don't think it's okay to bring him along today" Ian says 'Why is that? I called your dad, and he was okay with it. He also said I'm old and someone needs to drive for me" Grandma says smiling 'Kyle is here today, we'll drop you off if you want?" Kristen suggests and I feel this jealousy inside of me, though I know I don't have any right to get mad because I now realized, even when we were together, I didn't give her the right to get jealous over Bianca. That's the moment where our relationship started to crumble 'Oh dear, I wouldn't want to disturb him. It's just dinner right? Come now" Grandma says and they walk in first. We went to the living room and I'm assuming her dad laughing with Kyle. How will I ever compete with that guy? He doesn't even need to try. They like him already 'Oh Kristen! Here, I bought this for you" Kyle says as he hands her a pack of skittles, she likes that? I didn't even remember her telling me that. 'Ooohhh! Thank you! You don't know how much I craved this for a while" she says, maybe I could learn some new things today about her 'When did you have a thing for sweets?" Ian asks her 'Just recently" she answers as she opens it and eat some then a woman grabs it away 'Mom!" she screams and then pouts, I missed her even more, she does that every time she wants something, series of flashbacks came into my mind. 'No candies before dinner. Now come, let's start" Her maybe step mom? I remember she said her mom died and her dad remarried. I wonder what happened after all those months that she forgave them? Maybe, she was so hurt that she needed her family. Now, I even feel more guilty. We all sat down. Beside me is Kristen and on the other side of her is Kyle. She's been eyeing the carbonara and tries to reach for it. 'Here let me help you" I say and put some in her plate 'Thank you" she says politely, like I'm some, politician. It irritated me but somehow, I knew it's my fault she grew further away from me everyday, and to see her comfortable with kyle, hurts me. Is this what she felt when I keep on choosing Bianca? Well, there it is, finally I admitted it, and yes I realized that, I've been ignoring her needs as my girlfriend because of some friendship that I didn't know, it was destroying me, us little by little. 'Kyle, can you give me some garlic bread" She asks him more of like a demanding girlfriend, I furrowed my eyebrows as I look at their interaction. 'Thank you Kylie!!!" She answers like a kid and Kyle chuckles, oh how I miss her. We all just started eating. Then her dad spoke. 'So, you're Sebastian Harris" he says 'Uhh Yes sir. Sorry to come in last minute" I answer feeling nervous 'It's fine. I was also curious about you, since my daughter cried over you before" he says and I felt a knife stabbing me 'Dad!" Kristen screamed at him and glared 'Honey, not now please" Her mom says He didn't talk and just continued to eat. 'I need to go outside I announce" Kristen says and I wanted to follow her but then Kyle said he would and then they both went outside. I sighed. 'I'm sorry for what I did. I can't say I didn't mean to do it but now I realized that maybe I did it on purpose. I ignored her needs and her completely. But I did everything to find her, I want her back, I love her" They stayed silent for a while then her dad said. 'Son, you want her to forgive you but did you ever realized that you can't even forgive your dad, how can you ask for something you can't even give?" 'I---I already forgave my father, it's just I'm finding the right time to listen to what he has to say. I know I've been neglecting what supposed to be heard but then again, maybe I'm scared that I was wrong all along" I answer He nods 'You know that day, she was so weak and was crying. Then all of her emotions just went out, she was pushing everyone away, she said that no one will ever want her." He laughed sarcastically and sad at the same time, I didn't even know that was possible. 'I am her father and I didn't even know, when I left and her mother died it traumatized her, I was not the first one to find her in a state that I didn't know she was in, it was my wife, Selana." He held her hand 'We didn't know what to do, every time it rains, she's like a different person" 'We all hurt her and the fact that it was raining every time we did, it hurt her and made her remember every pain, every time it rains." 'He cured her once before but he still hurt her" Ian says as he eats and we all looked at him 'Really?" Her dad says 'She tried to face her fear with me and she did. We were so happy then, it's just, it was me who ruined everything, but I will change that, I will cure her again if you let me" They didn't answer and Ian stood up. 'They're coming back, Kyle just texted me." And then he left us So, they all started to clean up and I asked for her dad's permission to go in her room to leave something and he permitted. I went to her room and looked at everything, she's still the same, all her stuff are organized still Then my eyes caught something, a medical record, my eyebrows furrowed. I was about to pick it up when I heard her voice. I left the gift and a note in her nightstand. And went down, I found them on the leaving room watching cartoons. 'Do you want me to get your skittles for you?" Kyle says her She smiled like a kid and nod. He was about to stand up when, I came and handed her the pack of Skittles. 'Oh, uhh Thanks" She says and started eating them 'I don't even know how they understand him. He's talking blahblah" Kyle says and she chuckled 'That only means he knows him so well that they could understand each other" she says, I wonder if I could find a stuff toy of that character. 'I am with you for so many years, and you talk normally but I still don't understand you" Kyle says and she smack his head 'You're not a good friend!" She says and he chuckled I was just watching then stealing glances from time to time, it irritated me on how close they were. After that, Kyle said his goodbyes and then left. I was left with her parents once again. 'We'll allow you to ask for her forgiveness, but the moment she cries about you again, you'll never get to go here again or even look at her" Her dad says or more like warns me 'Yes sir, thank you so much. You don't know how much this means to me!" I say 'Don't thank me. Thank Kyle, he convinced us and I trust that boy." He says and went to his wife. I sighed. Then her mom approached me. 'You know, you can start by giving her food and give her space, don't constantly follow her or anything just food or stuff for now. Believe me I know her" she winks and then goes back Maybe that could work. Then I will tomorrow. I will bake for her, just like I remember, she likes the cupcakes I made before. I smiled to myself. Then it was time to go home. As soon as we got home my grandma went to her room as she told me she was tired. I'll miss Grandma though but I'm having her place on my own, even though that sounds like fun, it sure is lonely.
