Sebastian's POV YEARS LATER 'Grandma, Prince Charming is back!" the little girl that is not so little anymore I chuckled. 'Same as always I see" the old lady says, which I learned that Monica was her name, so I call her that. 'Yes Monica. I always have to bring my wife roses, if not she'll be angry" I joke 'Yes, yes. Just wait for me and I'll handle it" She says and fixes a bouquet of different colored roses. 'So, Prince Charming. You never bring your wife here. What's up?" Milan asks 'Well, Princess. If she knows where to buy flowers, then she would pick them up herself and I don't want her to get tired" I answer and smiled at her 'Oh" she says Then Monica hands over the flowers. 'I'm sorry for her choice of question" 'It's fine. She's a curious Kid" I say and she nods. After that I wave at them goodbye. I drove to Ian's house first before going to Kristen. I knock on his door and he immediately opens it. 'I already bought the flowers and you're still here in your pajamas, you know how she hates tardiness" I scold him 'I was caught up with something. Did you call Kyle and Bianca yet?" he asks as he picks out what to wear" 'Oh yeah. Thanks for reminding me. I will while I wait for your slow ass" I say and he went to the bathroom to take a shower, while I sat down the living room. 'Kyle, what time are you going to get here?" I ask through the phone 'Maybe an hour or so, the kids are on the run again" he says and I hear Bianca shouting on the background. They ended up together and had two kids. I chuckled 'Alright. We'll be waiting. I'll hung up and help your wife." I joked and he forgot to end the call, shouting for his son to come down from a tree. I chuckled and hung up. I called Darius next. Him and Abby separated, but he stills wants her so he's been chasing her all over again. 'I'm on my way. I'll meet you there. Will Abby go?" he asks 'She's already there" I answer 'Okay, see you soon" he says and hung up I sighed and put my phone back in my pocket not before sending a message to Kristen. ---Baby, we'll be there soon. I'll need you to wait a little longer because your brother is still in the shower. I love you--- While I waited, I walked around his house, it's a habit whenever I visit or pick him up. I would take a stroll in his garden and touch everything. 'Sebastian, let's go!" he shouts and I ran towards the car, see him standing beside it. After that, we drove home. When we got home, the house was lit, so I assume, they were all here now and Kyle and Bianca is the only once late. I went in and shouted 'Baby, I'm home. We're here!" FLASHBACK As soon as I got to the hospital, I ran towards the elevator and press the number of her floor. Sweating and shaking because I was nervous, I will ask her to be my wife today. I really hope everything is in place. I got down off the elevator, only to see her family and my dad outside her room. 'So, are you ready?" I ask them and they all have the sad look on their faces. 'Why are you all looking like that? Aren't you happy for me? For us?" I joked 'Son, you need to sit down first" My dad says 'Why? I need to propose to her" I tell My dad shakes his head. 'I'm sorry" he says 'Why are you sorry?" I ask, a little scared 'She…She's gone" he finally says I shake my head. 'DO you want me to hate you again? It's not a good joke!" I shout and forced my way in, only to find an empty room and nurses are fixing the room already like she wasn't here few hours ago I drop onto my knees 'No!!!!" 'I'm sorry" my dad kept whispering I was angry. I stood up and punched Ian. 'Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't anyone told me? I should've have been here!" I shout They were holding me back and Ian with his swollen eyes, looks at me. 'She didn't want you to be there when she disappears" Ian says Then he started telling me what happened. SHORT POV OF IAN After a few hours, me dad and mom came to see her. Kristen was asleep 'Mr. and Mrs. Miles, Ian. I want to tell you something. Can we talk outside?" Sebastian asks When he first said he was planning to propose to her, I was a bit skeptical. Or maybe scared. Over the years, I have grown to love her like my own sister. I never saw her as an adopted or something like that. I loved her so much that I was not ready for her to disappear or even get married. But after our conversation with Sebastian, I was somehow convinced. We all went back inside and saw her awake, there was a few interactions before Sebastian left. Kristen was so excited about their date. When Sebastian left, she smiled and look over the window. "He's planning to marry me, isnt he?" She says and we all looked at her, how did she know? "I'm losing interest in everything. Slowly. Nothing excites me anymore" She says, and it's scaring me how she talks "honey what are you talking about?" Dad says as he sits beside her while me and mom stands beside dad She smiled and it's scaring me. 'every day, it's getting harder for me to breathe. But even though it was hard I tried to be happy. I tried to ignore the pain, at first it was hard but then I got used to it until I didn't feel pain anymore. It does hurt for a while but it disappears. I am used to the pain now. Like earlier, I felt something here" holding her chest 'I brushed it off and I told Sebastian I was just joking. I saw how scared he was losing me" 'Don't talk like you're going to die" I say a tear running down my face and she shakes her head 'It's okay" she whispers in a weak voice 'I envied those people who have so much in this life time but now I realized I was doing everything wrong. I am happy I got the chance to meet all of you. It's just sad that I couldn't stay any longer. I wish i could've done better and stayed stronger for you but I just couldn't. I know you can be happy without me I just know and I'm sorry" she continued We were all crying and she was repeating the words 'It's okay" but that's the problem, it was not okay. We can't and don't know how to live without doing anything for her. We stayed like that maybe for an hour then, she finally said. 'Give this to Sebastian. Tell him to read this and I'm so sorry" She says and I took it from her 'I will" I whisper trying to suppress the sob 'Dad, Mom. I love you both and be happy. Ian, you know how much I love you right?" she says and I nod 'Good" she whispered 'I'm tired. I want to sleep" she says and we all knew that was it 'Okay honey. Sleep. When you wake up, we'll still be here" Dad says kissing her Temples Mom didn't say anything, she was just crying and stroking her hair, I was tightly gripping the paper she gave me watching her falling into sleep, that we all knew she was never going to wake up. Then when she got into her position. She closed her eyes, a tear escaped from it but she had a smile on her face then the line went straight. We all cried while they were fixing her. Her doctor came and apologize. We said she didn't have to be because it was her choice. After that, Sebastian's Dad came. 'Is she awake?" His dad asks 'She's Gone" Dad whispers 'What?!" We explained everything to him and he was worried about Sebastian and his reactions. But I told him we were ready for it. No matter what it is. We were. Sebastian's POV 'I was not there when she needed me and now, I'm…" I couldn't form the words I wanted to say Ian patted my back. 'It's not your fault. Never was. She didn't want you to watch her die. She knows how painful it would be for you. But she loved you until her very last breath. We should be happy because she was happy" END OF FLASHBACK It was bad. A year, I was drunk and never sober. I didn't had a decent meal, I even started fighting my own father again. I was blaming myself. But then I realized, it wasn't going to bringing her back and she'd be mad if she saw me in this state, so I changed. I started to fix my life. 'They were right you still do shout that" Ian says patting my back handing me a piece of paper 'It's time to read this" He says 'it's long overdue" I took the paper, which I refused to take then. Now, I think it's the right time. 'Hey Sebastian. I know how stubborn you are and won't read this, maybe if you're reading this now, years has already passed. But Anyway, I would just like to say that, I love you, I know you know that, but I couldn't stay any longer. You made me happy, confused and angry at the same time. You made me believe in a lot of things that I never thought I would. I'm sorry if we had to end this way, but I want you to be happy. It was enchanting to meet you, Sebastian. It really was." I smiled. I thought reading this would make me feel sad all over again but no. I was happy that her choice made her happy. But that doesn't mean, I was okay. I never was and never will. I will never remember the life before her, and all I know is the life while I had her and that will be forever. 'Sebastian come on! We're starting!" Ian shouts and I went to the backyard. They were all there, Abby, Darius, My dad. Her parents, Ian and then Kyle Bianca came along with their two children. We were happy. Then it started raining. 'She's happy" Her dad says I nod.
