26- Beautiful Traditions (Part 2)
"Urgh!" Red groaned and went to the room to get ready. Wearing a perfectly adorned bead, a maroon skirt and her white shirt, she tied her long hair in a messy braid.
"I want to make it look like rapunzel." Red said to Jasmine, who was doing her hair.
"Your hair is beautiful like her anyways. Here you go, they are done." Jenna said.
Red grinned and looked at her reflection in the mirror, pleased by her looks.
Pushing her hairs on her shoulder to see them, smiling, "Thank you very much." Red beamed.
"Come on, let's go now." Jenna said and Red walked out with her.
When Lucifer's eyes fell upon Red everything around him stopped, pulling closer to her as if some strings were doing it, he couldn't take his eyes from her.
They charmed him more than he could imagine. He rose from his seat and walked forward, staring deep into her eyes.
Red shyly looked down, "How do I look?" Lucifer held her hands and pulled her close, eyes not removing from hers as his heart skipped a beat.
Red who was looking no less than a porcelain doll, delicate and exquisite as no one could remove their eyes from her but what her heart desires is still unknown to her.
Lucifer rubbed his thumb over her knuckles and leaned close to her face, speaking in a tempting tone.
"Please don't come in front of me as such an angelic dream, it will terrify me to wake up from it." Involuntarily Lucifer said the condition of his heart.
"Who told you to dream this? Face reality, not the dream." Red said, putting her hands over his chest, staring deep into his spellbinding eyes.
Lucifer moved to her ears and continued, "It is a mesmerizing dream of one year."
Lucifer was losing the grip on himself, letting his heart speak.
"What are you trying to say, Lucifer?" Red asked, pulling away, disquiet about his words. I don't know. Lucifer thought and moved away.
"I was just complimenting, I guess I spoke too much." Lucifer said, looking away.
"You did." Red said, "Don't do this again." Red said, walking away.
'I am not ready to see your heart, unless I see mine.' She thought and took a seat and smiled, motioning him to sit beside her.
Red smiled radiantly, looking at everyone who were dancing and enjoying, loving the sight while Lucifer's eyes were glued to Red, affectionately watching her how she is lost in the blithe, unaware she is becoming his shore.
"Your hair looks good Red." Lucifer compliments, holding her braid in his hands.
"I know. I love it, there are just a few flowers but the hairstyle is lovely." Red replied, without looking at him. Lucifer got up and got a bunch of flowers.
"What are you doing?" Red asked.
"Tugging more flowers." He replied, carefully setting the flower in her hair.
'When did she become so beguiling? How can this radio attract me? It's the dress's fault, she looks so pretty in it. Yeah, it's the dress. Anyone will look alluring in it.'
Lucifer thought and looked around and said his thoughts aloud,
"Yeah, every girl here is pretty." Red turned to him when she heard it.
"Who did you find pretty? Tell me. I will set you two up. All girls are head over head for you anyways." Red said sternly.
"That's not it. It's the dress." Lucifer sighed.
"What?"
"I was confirming whether it's only you who looks adorable in this dress or someone else as well. Turns out every girl is." Lucifer explained.
"Oh.. ah, and here I thought you liked a girl." 'And what if I did?'
They sat back again, enjoying the moment, living it as soon the time to serve the food came and it made Red nervous. Certainly not wanting to feed Lucifer her awful dish.
"What are you doing? Go and get it."
Lucifer pushed her a little to drag her from her thoughts. Red bit her bottom lips and served Lucifer the pudding.
Lucifer was a bit taken aback, knowing she is such a great cook. He looked at the pudding then at Red who was slightly startled.
"I am sorry Lucifer. I don't know what happened but it's all ruined and I couldn't make a new one for you, I didn't want it to end up like this but it did." Red mumbled hurriedly, sadly.
"Uh... Red-" Lucifer tried to speak something but Red cut her off,
"It always happens to me, whenever I am about to do something wholeheartedly, something ruins it. Why is it always me? And now look at-"
"Can I have a spoon, Red?" Lucifer asked, looking at her. Not understanding what made her so miserable.
"What?" Red asked.
"A spoon. I can't eat it with my hand."
"You are going to eat it?"
"As long as it doesn't contain poison." Lucifer shrugged.
"Lucifer!"
"What? Go and get me a spoon."
"Are you really gonna eat it?"
"Hmm so?"
Red gave him a dazzled look but got him a spoon. Red was about to go but he held her hand and pulled her back, making her sit beside him.
"Don't break the rhythm of the tradition, Dear wife." Lucifer said, eating her pudding.
"It's good." Lucifer lied with a smile, making Red gasp.
"You are saying you like this?" She asked and he nodded.
"Yeah. Do you want to try?" He offered her a bit but she refused.
Lucifer normally doesn't eat too much sweet food but he couldn't bring himself to not eat.
Lucifer grinned, pinching her cheek annoying her but Red smiled eventually.
"You are crazy." 'Let me be.' Lucifer thought, looking at her.
After eating Lucifer stood up, "Now my beautiful wife made such an amazing dish for me then I should show her my gratitude."
Lucifer said in a sweet tone, bending in front of Red and kissing the back of her palm and showing her a silver anklet.
"But I will put this on with one condition." Lucifer said with a smirk.
"What?" She smirked back.
Lucifer held Red foot and smiled, looking at them, "You can take them off whenever you'll like but I am the one who can put this on."
Red stared at Lucifer wanting to know the intentions behind his words.
'I have no right over you, let me have one- even if it contains a piece of jewelry.'
Lucifer thought with a sad smile.
"Okay." Red smiled, putting her hands over his shoulder as he secured the anklet around her ankle with the lone thought.
'At least I have one right.'
