54- His Confession

Red let out a mocking laugh at his raze, at his condition who actually thought they could become one. In the end, he was just a stalker in her eyes. "You were such an idiot to believe I wanted to start a new life with you. I used you because you never had any value in my eyes." She said pointing her finger at him in a contemptible way. At this point, he was barely standing, mindless, crushed under the weight of her painful words. Each tear which rolled down his cheek hurt his very skin in indescribable grief while Red broke his heart excruciatingly. Red scowled at his face and wiped her lips- the place he kissed in disgust and left him all alone under the rain to crumble endlessly. With a heavy heart, Erich moved back, falling into a random alley as he fell on his knees and by the roaring sound of rain, he let out his cries of suffering initiated by Red's intentions that gave him intense mental suffering. Tears sought no halt as they continued to stream down his face while he continued to cry out loud, letting his deterioration in the form of emotional stress. Wailing at his vulnerability which left him at the point his grip on himself lost and the thin line between sanity and ravage broke and the dolor flooded with one thought roaming in his mind, 'Why did loving you become such a sin for me?' ~~•~~• "How could you do this April!? You destroyed lives by this!" Lucifer yelled, confused by the truth he found out about how powerless and innocent Erich is as Red is the one who made Erich marry her, not forced her. The murk cleared up for him and he felt repentant for his deed. It was unfathomable for him to grasp such reality. "Everyone suffered because of you!" He yelled again at April who was crying constantly while telling him everything. "I didn't understand how it t-turned out... like this. I just.. Wanted to make Erich suffer.. But it began to hurt me.. B-Before I could leave their lives.. You entered mine and forced me to be a part of it." April said, sobbing while covering her mouth with her hand as tears rolled down her cheek. "It's all your fault." He said, looking at her in compassion mixed with rage. "I know! And I... can't redeem my mistake anymore." "You chose this yourself." "It's a punishment!" April shouted, lowering her head, removing her hand as the sound of her cries echoed in the room. Lucifer looked at her for a few minutes and rubbed her back, trying to soothe her. "April." He called her. She sniffed, wiping her eyes and looked at him. "You have done it for your purpose... could you become selfish one more time for me?" He asked, moving close to her face, his voice firm yet soft. "Huh?" She wanted to ask what he is talking about but he spoke up first, "Because I need your help." ~~•~~• After breaking Erich's heart terribly, Red didn't have enough courage to face him but she needs to get her stuff and leave for her flight tomorrow. She thought Erich wouldn't be at home so she went home to get her things but Erich wasn't in any condition to go anywhere as he was sitting on the ground, leaning his back on the bed while hiding his knees in his face, alone in the dark room. Red entered and spared a glance at him, upholding her facade of coldness, she turned on the lights. Erich saw her and his heart picked its pace as he began to say in a trembling voice, "E-End this relationship." "Tomorrow is my flight for Paris." Red said, packing her things and getting essential stuff, avoiding to look at him. "Why are you doing this to me?!" A tear rolled down his cheek as his grip on him tightened. "Where are my tickets?" "GET OUT FROM MY LIFE!" He shouted. Red stopped and turned to him, closing her arms at her chest, her tone piercing as usual, "Why? Who said he will not get tired of me?" "What do you want then? Be with you after what you said?" He asked, crying to which Red only let out a sigh, "You are so heartless." Erich hissed at her demeanor. "I know." She replied. Erich's lips parted as he stared at her for a few seconds. He gulped hard and got up, walking to her and no matter what she is still the person who has him imprisoned being ignorant of it. "Red please listen to me for once." Erich whispered breathlessly. "Don't be so pathetic and desperate." Red said in aversion. "You were also the same when Lucifer left you." Erich retorted. "What do you want?" "I just need to talk to you." "Okay, speak up." Erich swallowed hard, made her sit on the bed as he bent on the ground, looking intently at her with his watery gaze, losing his senses. He hesitant put his hands on her laps and began to say in crying tone, "Red.. Red I always denied my love. Disregarding my emotions... everything.. But .. but after your outburst.. After you said those.. Cruel words to me.." He took a pause, sniffing to not cry and break. "I.. I.. couldn't hate you. I thought countless times... to become selfish to have you... but I couldn't. To break every edge... just to make you mine.. But I couldn't do this... the whole being wants to hate you but... I can't." A few rolled down his cheeks as he sniffed and wiped them quickly, "Red.. I.. I thought about this a lot.. But every time it all led to one thing..." Erich shut his eyes, tightened his grip over her and began to cry out loud, "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE YOU, RED! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, RED!" Erich cried his misery from the bottom of his heart and continued, "No matter how much I try to deny it..I can't. Because I love beyond limits." Breathlessly, Erich didn't dare to look at Red and continued, insane and desperate. "Every inch of my skin belongs to you. My breaths have your name, this worthless existence is living by you. I.. I can never explain my love. Even if you don't feel anything for me, my whole being belongs to you. It lives in you. I am yours.. Even if you are not mine.... Red I am sorry but I love you so much and please... Please take everything away from me but..." His posture broke again as he joined his hands together in a begging manner, weeping his sorrow. "Please don't hate me. I won't ask for much but please don't detest me. Please... Please.. Please." His cries reached the point he began to hiccup but the words composure didn't exist for him anymore as the walls of fakeness were broken and he left out his true emotions. Dying for her every moment. Red, who was lost in inexplicable feelings, unable to make out what's happening, startled by his words as a tear rolled down her cheek. 'What have I done?' She cannot make out what occurred, a chill of fright went down her spine as her mind froze, sweeping a wave of disturbance over her. Not having enough strength to speak anything while the sound of Erich's sobs reached her mind and broke the rhythm of ice and pricked her heart. She gulped hard and stood up, taking her stuff without saying anything and leaving.
