The next day. April couldn't stay any longer and decided to leave before anything else happened because of her. Also, she doesn't want to ruin lives by her presence anymore. "Are you sure about leaving?" She smiled and nodded. "And you will not come back?" He asked again. "Lucifer, I have done nothing to find a reason to come back." "How could you leave after the chaos?" April laughed a little, "I have demolished everything, that's why I am leaving. And nothing could stop me. I'm sorry if I can't help you anymore but I have to go... It.. suffocates me to see Erich and Red.. I can't take it anymore." Her voice cracked up. She sniffed, resisting her tears and continued in a croaky voice, "I didn't intend to become like this. After Erich ended our sessions, I had no intentions of entering his life again. I just wanted to go back, being Red's friend only but.. I came because of you but I can't do it anymore." "April..." Lucifer called, looking at her compassionately. "Thanks for everything." April chuckled, waving her hand to shrug it off, "And yeah, you can live here for the rest of the month. I have paid this month's rent." "Thanks." "Okay then... Take care. And yeah, give this to Red." April said, handing him a paper. He nodded and he gave her a goodbye hug. "I hope you find redemption." He said, pulling away. "And I am sorry, I can't even pray for Red to be yours." April said, knowing Erich's happiness matters a lot to her and she wants him to be with Red after what he has gone through. "I can understand." "Take care of your heart, bye." April left, taking her stuff and left, waving at him, without telling anyone about her destination. At the same time, Red was leaving her office while being on call with Erich. "I am sorry I can't pick you." "It's fine, I can go." Red replied. "Okay then, call me when you will reach home." He said. "Yeah, I am leaving." Red said, getting her stuff. She was about to cut the call but he asked, "By the way Red, do you love Chocolate cake or chocolate pastry more?" "Chocolate pastry, why?" She asked, leaving. "Because I bought it for you." He said and when Red came out Erich was standing in front of her with a grin and a rose. Red laughed a little by his sweet surprise. "You were here this whole time?" She asked, coming closer. "Yeah." He gave her the rose. "Well, thank you but what's the reason?" "I don't need a reason." He winked. Red laughed and tapped the rose over Erich's nose. "Thank you." She smiled and was about to get in the car but another came from behind and Lucifer got out and rushed to Red. The couple exchanged glances and looked at Lucifer, "Oh, you.. Here?" Red asked. Lucifer gave Red the note and said, "April is leaving forever." "What?!" Red asked in disbelief. "Yes." "How could she leave like this? After what she had done, she cannot leave like this." Red asked in frustration. "Please forgive her, Red. I made her do it. She has no faults." Lucifer said. "You don't take her side because what she has done to Erich, it wasn't your fault." Red replied. "But please forgive her. She was guilty for what she had done." Lucifer tried to say but Red scoffed. "I don't want to hear it from you." Red rolled her eyes, "Erich, could you take me to him?" Erich nodded and took Red to the airport. On the way, Red opened the letter April left for her, Red, I don't deserve forgiveness for what I have done to you and Erich but please if you could, please forgive me. I don't think I could receive it but don't you worry, I won't enter yours or Erich life again. I was just jealous that the person I love loves you but my fire burned everything and before I could realize my mistake, everything fell apart. But you don't worry now. This stain on the name of a friend won't come into your life again. I won't come back, just be happy wherever you are and if you could, please forgive me. April. After reading the letter, Red was infuriated, she clutched the letter in her hand tightly, scowling at her action of leaving. "How could she?" Red snarled. They reached the airport and Red ran to find her. I have lost the person I love already, I don't want you to be next. Red thought and saw April who was waiting for her flight. Red ran to her and punched her in the face, gaining everyone's attention. "You bitch, you think you can leave me!? I am like a plague! I will never leave your life!" Red shouted, grabbing her collar as a tear rolled down her cheek. "Red..." April whispered, touching her pained jaw, not believing she is actually here. "You cannot leave by turning our friendship of years to dust!" "Friendship..? You consider me a friend... after what have I done to you?" April asked. "Idiot! We were together for years." Red said, at the verge of crying. "Red.. I.." April was at the loss of words as Red hugged her. "You could have at least said goodbye." April began to cry by her action, hugging her back, crying, "Red, I am such a bad person. I shouldn't be a part of yours or Erich's life anymore. I am sorry. I am so sorry!" "Shut up!" Red began to cry as well. April held her tightly, sobbing in her arms, apologizing constantly, "Please forgive me. Please forgive me." April continued to cry with tears rolled down from her cheek while asking for forgiveness. They remained like this and bursted their emotions and eventually pulled away after calming down. "You truly won't come back?" Red asked, wiping her tears. "No." She smiled. "Why?" "You are asking this? There's no reason for me to come back." "But-" April hugged Red again, "Both of you take care and yeah.." April then continued in a whisper, "Please talk to Lucifer openly for once." April grinned and pulled away. "Farewell." She said, turning to leave with no intention of coming back and leaving. After April left, Red was lost in her thoughts, slightly stressed about talking with Lucifer knowing what turn it would take and it honestly perturbed her. With a deeply grieved heart of losing a friend who deceived her yet she can't hate her and couldn't lose her and by the words of meeting her lost lover induced dread. "Red... are you alright?" Erich asked, worried about Red's affectation which is about to break any time. "I don't know, Erich... I feel like losing everything." She replied in a low gloomy tone. "Are you thinking about April?" he asked, sitting beside her. Red nodded, "Yes." Erich tried to reassure her, "Everything will be alright." "No, nothing will be alright." Red said, making a sad face, turning to look at him. "What are you talking about?" "You were right, I am hiding what's in my heart and not only from you but myself as well. Will it do me any good?" Red asked desperately, wanting to know what she should do. "To be honest..." Erich trailed off, perusing her form. If I told her the truth, she would no longer be mine. "No. It won't." And I chose the truth. "Doing this will hurt you endlessly and you will reach a point where you will get used to it and then..." he smiled sadly telling her this with his heart beating in pain. "It will kill you." Erich told her the bitter truth. "Then tell me what should I do, Erich? I don't know what to do. I am frightened." Red said, losing her posture, breaking. Maybe I loved your smiles, not you. "End this meaningless love." He spoke faintly. "And you Erich? I can't leave you to suffer anymore." Red asked, tilting her head to the side, miserable. "Who told you I am in pain? When I see your smile, the word agony no longer exists for me." He tried to stay composed and not break by overflowing pain. "It will destroy you." Red whispered with a tear rolling down her cheek. "I will accept limitless destruction for your happiness." He whispered back. "Please don't talk like this. I want to live with you." She responded in a hoarse voice. "Red... Listen, Red.." I wish I could stop the moment when you became mine. "Listen to your heart." Erich stood firm on his words even if they gave him immense distress. "Erich, I don't want to give you any more tears." Red tried to reason. "You are not. I am not forcing you but for once think of liberation. Espy his broken heart's condition." Erich insisted. "And yours?" Red asked. "If you came back, you became mine." He murmured. "And... what if.. I don't?" She tentatively asked. "Then be happy." "Erich, I don't want to hurt you. You have already bore too much for my sake. I don't want to break your heart" Red said and began to sob with tears blurring her vision. "But Red, to me, your heart matters." Erich tried to make her realize that to him, her exhilaration is the world. "Even if it hurts you?" Red asked between her sobs, looking at him innocently. "Even if it hurts me."
