65- Surprise
"I am telling you, I didn't do it." Red argued over the dinner table with everyone there.
"You are lying, Red. Say you didn't expose Parker's cheater girlfriend in the whole university." Erich asked.
"Yeah I did but I didn't announce cheating." Red shrugged. "Liar, you made Peter do it."
"Indirectly, it was all your fault." Lucifer hummed, eating his food in silence while Erich was telling the time when Red exposed Parker's ex and humiliated her in the whole university for cheating on her friend.
"So, that bitch was cheating on him." Red shrugged.
"Anyways, I then leak the result about the pre-" Red was cut off by Lucifer, "Turn off your radio, Red. We should eat in silence."
Erich broke into laughter, "Radio?" He asked.
"Yeah, she rambles twenty four, seven." Lucifer said and Erich continued to laugh.
"Why are you laughing?" Red asked in irritation.
"Never heard such a perfect nickname." Erich said, trying to control his laugh. The rough present aside, everyone knew how Red was from the beginning.
Red's mouth gaped, "What!? You're so mean, Erich. How could you?"
"Radio." Erich said, trying to see how it sounded. "Hmm. Perfect." He nodded. "Shut up! You should be grateful to me. My voice brings joy and brightness everywhere. I am the shine."
"Bertha, take out her cells." Lucifer said, still eating his food 'calmly' and everyone laughed.
After having a chirpy dinner, full of laughter which was long forgotten, refreshed everyone.
"Okay then, I will send you the divorce papers soon." Erich said, before leaving. Red nodded and hugged him tightly, "Thank you." He hugged her back, "You're welcome."
"And yeah, Erich." and pulled away and took off the brooch he gave her, "Give it to the person you will love." Red smiled, giving it to him. He smiled and took it.
"I will. Thanks... I will take my leave. Bye." He waved and left.
After Erich left, Red took Lucifer's hand. "You are staying here" Red grinned and took his hand, taking him with her to her room.
They entered and Red closed the door. When they were left alone in the room, Red took a deep breath as her heart began to beat fast, having this moment after such a while.
She turned to him and came close, "It's been a while." Red began to say, "Yeah..." He hummed, looking around her room. Red took her hand in his and said, staring deeply into his eyes, "I am glad."
"So, shall I consider this the end of my punishment?" He asked, playfully.
Taking a strand of her hairs in his hand and tracing his thumb over it, interwinding his heartbeats with hers, turning oblivious of the surroundings. Drowned in those radiance he worshiped for years, he couldn't look away.
Red smirked and held the collar of his shirt, speaking seductively, "For that compensation, I am going to bind you to me forever..."
Lucifer smirked back and snaked his hand around her waist, pressing his lower body against hers, closing the gap between his and her face, mixing up their breaths regarded as a symphony of love and captivation for unspoken words.
"I am not sure I should consider it a punishment." He replied in the same tone, lifting her chin with his index finger, "I rather call it a blessing."
"God, Lucifer stop being so tempting." Red said, getting away but he held her wrist and pulled her back to him again, one hand holding her waist firmly while his other hand wrapped around her neck.
Lips curved mischievously with that addictive gaze.
"Red, I told you something when we first met." He began to say, leaning in close, moving down to her neck, voice husky.
"Those who drowned in my ocean, lost their way to the surface." He smirked and moved his head away.
Red shivered by his action and averted her gaze shyly, "And I did... there's nothing but you." She whispered, holding his shoulder. "Me too." He smiled.
They stared at each with such intensity, "I missed you so much." Red breathed out. "Me too. I died every moment for you."
"I am sorry, Lucifer. I did so many wrongdoings by my emotions." Red said sadly. "It's okay. We are together now." He smiled.
"I should have waited for you for my remaining breaths. I was so wrong. I hurt everyone, pushed you away from me. I said so many painful things to you. At one point, I was even scared to lose you by my demeanor but Lucifer I- '' Lucifer cut her off by putting his finger over her lips.
"Shh. Red. As of now, we are starting our new lives, there's no need to recall the bitter past. There would be no more sadness... the upcoming moment will bring nothing but felicity." He said in a low charming tone.
She smiled and nodded, "I love you, Lucifer."
"I love you too." He whispered and kissed her forehead. "That leaves one thing now." Red smiled, pulling away. "What?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Red giggled and took out the anklet he gave her.
"This. Remember? Only you can put it on." Red grinned. Lucifer chuckled and shook his head. He nodded and made her sit on the bed, bending on the ground and putting it on her ankle again.
"Today with this anklet, I am binding you to me forever..."
~ 2 years Later ~
"Who calls at 7am?" Red groggily asked her boyfriend Lucifer. "It's 12 pm here." He replied. They were in a long distance relationship.
"When are you going to work then?" He asked. "At nine." She replied, eyes closed, laying in her bed. "Then it's fine."
"Hmm... Why did you call?"
"Do I need a reason to call my girlfriend? I wanted to hear your voice."
"Okay you did, can I go to sleep now?" Red asked with a yawn.
"Okay, open the door." He said. "Why..? Would you be there?" She asked.
He smirked from his side and replied, "Maybe."
Red's eyes fluttered open as she got out of the bed and ran to the door only to find a box there as her exhilaration turned into disappointment.
"What the hell, Lucifer?" Red angrily asked.
"There is a note there, do as it says. Bye. love you." With this, he cut the call.
"Luci- Hello? Lucifer?" She called but he cut the call. Red sighed and took the box inside.
She opened it only to find a simple dress, a blue victorian frock with the matching white colored blouse. Red raised an eyebrow and read the note.
I love everything about you but I prefer simple dresses rather than elegant ones for you.
Red chuckled reading the note and looked at the dress, "Idiot, I still hate them and your fashion sense is still in minus." Red said with a sigh and wore the dress.
She of course looked graceful and eye-catching. She went to her work and received a call from Erich,
"Hello?"
"I am your driver today."
"What?"
"I will take you to your destination." He said and cut the call.
"Erich- hello? Erich?" Red asked but cut the call. "Him too?"
She asked herself and at this time, Carter came, "Ma'am, Mr Grave sent those for you." He gave her a rose with a note and left.
Do as your driver says. Also, tug it behind your ears, it will enhance your beauty.
