24- Their Honeymoon
Lucifer watched Red sleeping peacefully.
"Just a second ago this humanoid radio was playing non stop and sleeping as if she doesn't care about life."
Lucifer said to himself and shook her shoulder. "Wake up, Red!"
Red frowned and opened her eyes and replied with a yawn. "What?"
"We are on our honeymoon and alone here." He said.
"Hmm so what?"
"That is, I am hungry."
"So what? Go and cook something for yourself."
"I wouldn't have woken you up, if I knew. I don't know how to cook." Lucifer sighed.
"What?! You worthless piece, you don't even know how to cook? I don't care, starve." Red said, groggily, closing her eyes.
"Wake up, Red. I am hungry."
"Shut up. Mama boy." Red's eyes fluttered open as she quickly sat up and looked at Lucifer with a faint smirk.
"What?" Lucifer asked.
"You want me to cook for you, dear husband?" Red asked and he nodded.
"Then kiss my hand and persuade me decently." Red said, holding her hands to him.
Lucifer muttered something under his breath and leaned down, kissing the back of her palm.
"Dearest wife, Could you please cook for me?" Lucifer asked sweetly yet seethingly.
"More politely." Red said. He sighed and forced a smile.
"Please..." Red chuckled, pulling her hands away and getting up to leave.
"Okay.
"You are the worst, Witch!" Lucifer yelled.
"Thanks. I consider it a compliment." Red left laughing.
After the dinner, Lucifer and Red decided to watch a movie and then go out to survey the next day, looking around the lands.
They were watching a horror movie, merrily. Wanting each other to get scared and teased them about it but none of them were frightened and when the movie ended, Red fell asleep again.
"Ah, it was great. But too bad none of us were scared... right, Red?" Lucifer asked.
"Red?" He called her but no answer came.
Lucifer turned to her, staring at her face. So close to her, feeling her breaths lingering on his face, grazing intensely at her sleeping with no expression of tension over her.
Lucifer's heart began to beat fast when his eyes traveled down to her luscious lips. He swallowed hard when his heart skipped a beat. Abruptly intertwined with her spell.
'What happened?' He thought but couldn't pull from the attraction he suddenly felt by looking at her so closely.
Lucifer leaned down, knowing his intentions were not right but couldn't comprehend either.
'She is sleeping. She wouldn't know.' He thought.
Gulping and moved closer but before he could proceed further, he shut his eyes and moved back. Leaving the other room and spending his night there..
'What happened to me? Why am I even thinking about it anyways. I practically did nothing other than leaning close. Yeah, I have done nothing.'
Lucifer consoled himself, still thinking about what he was about to do with Red in sleep. Shaking his head to let out the thoughts which are stirring his mind.
He walked out of the shower, got ready and saw Red cooking breakfast.
"Oh hey. Great timing, if you were late, I wouldn't give you any breakfast." Red grinned. Flustered, he lowered his head and took a seat.
"Be quick. After breakfast, we will go to survey the land."
"Hmm. There's a village nearby, the caretaker Daniel of this place lives there." He said.
Still lost in thoughts and trying to keep composed by telling himself it's not his fault.
"Okay!" Red beamed as after breakfast Lucifer took a deep breath, clearing his mind and they left to look around.
"I will show you the opposite side later. There's a really exquisite sight there."
"Really? I am excited then!" Red chirped, waking after him.
"The terrain is so rough."
"Of course, We are on a hill."
"I have never been to a hill before."
"Really?" Lucifer asked.
"Yeah... I have always camped near the lake or in the woods, but not on a hill or mountain." Red said, coming after him.
"But it's fun!" Red grinned.
"I see. Did you see that wall? It's the boundary wall, let's climb it. The village is on the other side."
"Why climb? Wouldn't that make us a trespasser?"
"The gate is two miles away, wanna take it?" Lucifer asked with a mocking smile.
"Fine..." They came closer and Red's eyes widened.
"It's so tall, how will I climb it?" She asked.
"You don't even know how to climb the wall?"
"No Mr Thief, I don't." She retorted. Lucifer sighed.
"Okay, I will lift you, you sit there and then I will catch you." Lucifer said and before she could protest, he lifted her by the waist.
Red squeaked and held his shoulder. "The wall is in the opposite direction." He said.
Red sighed and climbed and sat on the wall.
Lucifer also climbed and jumped on the other side.
Red being short, she couldn't do it from this height. Lucifer held his hands out to Red and called her to come.
"Jump, Red!"
"It's okay. If I fall, I will fall on you." Red said.
"What?"
Red jumped, wrapping her arms around Lucifer, making him stumble but he managed to hold her and they didn't fall. Red shut her eyes with a shriek.
Red slowly opened her eyes and looked at Lucifer. Her face was close to his. She laughed a little and smiled.
Lucifer moved closer, brushing his nose against hers, not removing his gaze from her. Red lowered her gaze shyly, tightening her grip over him.
Both of their hearts skipped a beat in sync and Red managed to utter,
"Uh.. You can let go." Lucifer abruptly let her go and moved back.
"Um.. Let's go. Down by this slope, we will be there." He said, taking her hand in the spur of a moment and took her.
They reached the village, Red's face lit up in happiness to be there.
"How peaceful." Red mumbled.
"Ah, There's Daniel. Daniel!" Lucifer called his caretaker who was shocked to see his Sir here in his small village.
"Oh, Mr Grave. What brings you here?" He asked, coming to him.
A man in his twenties, smiling softly at the couple.
"Well, Iris wants to look around so I took her here."
"Great timing! We have a festival tomorrow. If you want, you can stay and attend it." He offered.
"Really?! We would love to stay!"
Red squeaked in blithe without asking for Lucifer's opinion and wrapped her arms around his while Lucifer kept looking at her with a raised brow.
"Thank you!" Red said sincerely.
"Oh no, Ma'am. We should be grateful to you for attending it."
Red passed him a smile and looked around only to see women wearing victorian skirts and she felt her dress is different from them so she asked,
"Ah, also. I want to change my dress. Could you help me?" Red asked.
"Sure. My wife would show you." Daniel called his wife.
"Okay then honey. I will be back. Enjoy!" Red waved at him with a grin.
Leaving Lucifer with no words to speak as he stood, doing what she said, watching her leave as a chuckle escaped his lips.
