Missing Friend
It was now dinner time the same day, Jackson and I had done nothing but sit on the sofa, watch tv and talk about the most random of things. I know I have been saying I want nothing more than to catch Mario, which means I won't stop until he's found. That still remains true, and I want to work any hour I can until I find him, but I actually enjoyed today. I didn't have to worry what would happen if Jackson and I were to make the wrong move, I didn't have to sit and listen to all of the horrible details of the kind of things Mario has done to so many people. I felt like I was just a normal person going through their normal life for once.
For dinner, Jackson suggested we go out to a restaurant to eat which at first, I was worried about Mario, but I knew he probably wouldn't try to attack us I mean, he wants my help on more tasks so injuring me in anyway won't be beneficial to him. The dinner was so delicious, we had picked food up at this place multiple times since I started staying at Jackson's but eating in just felt different in a sense.
'You know what, I'm stuffed." Jackson says as he opens up the restaurant door for me to walk out, I laugh walking out into the fresh air with a smile on my face. 'But I do have to say, that waffle does look delicious." He mutters turning back to look at the photo of the waffle on the window, I smile looking back at him knowing how much this dude could put away if he tried.
'I thought you were stuffed?" I ask with a little laugh; Jackson turns to look at me throwing his hand in the air in a never mind type manner. 'This day has been amazing, something I definitely needed, thank you Jackson." I smile looking back out at the sun beginning to set on the horizon, while Jackson was still having a staring match with the waffle.
'Don't mention it Squirt." Jackson nonchalantly says, but I whip my head around to look at him taken back at the name he just called me. 'What, you look like a Squirt." He shrugs once he saw my reaction to the name, I shake my head once again before I feel myself collide with another person.
I very nearly fall to the floor at the sudden impact, but the person who had bumped into me takes me by my arms and pulls me to steady my feet.
'I'm sorry." The guy who had bumped into me says, but as I turn to look at his face, my body goes into shock mode not really believing who was stood in front of me.
The guy soon turns his attention to me after apologising, where he smiles once he spots that I wasn't hurt or angry. But as I stared back at him, I see him study my face for a second before his eyes soon turn to shock.
'Ally?" Peter asks in a sort of shocked tone; it was as though he was trying to make himself believe that it wasn't me, he was looking at in the moment.
'We better go." Jackson says once he realises what was happening in this moment, he walks over and takes my arm and begins to pull me away, but Peter holds my hand even tighter which prevented me from getting away.
'No, you're not taking her anywhere, Ally is that really you?" He asks pulling me right back, but in this moment, I didn't know if it was protocol for me to act like I wasn't the person he was after, which I definitely was.
'That isn't how this is going to go down, I will not tell you again, let go of my girlfriend's arm before you and I start to have a different sort of discussion." Jackson says now also growing angry that Peter wouldn't let go of my arm, he walks to stand in front of me attempting to block Peters view.
'She isn't your girlfriend! She is my best friend which vanished off the face of the earth! Now I don't know who you think you are, but you're not taking her away from me now." Peter says getting into Jackson's face even more, woah I've never seen Peter act like this before!
'I'm giving you three seconds to let go of her arm." Jackson says in a calmer manner than Peter, but when he doesn't go to release my arm, Jackson lifts up his arm and uppercuts Peter.
This sudden move does cause Peter to release my arm and drop to the floor, before I could react in shock or surprise. Jackson turns and takes my hand in his, before we both sprint away from Peter who was still laying on the floor. As we run, I turn around to look at Peter, who sat up slightly watching me run away.
In no time, we arrive at Jackson's car where we both waste no time climbing in. I wanted to go and check Peter, but I also knew I couldn't, this whole situation of me running from my life is to keep myself, my father but also others close to me safe. Jackson soon speeds us away from the carpark and out into the street, Peter being left in the dust.
'Ally!" I hear him shout as I sat there in a shocked type of manner, while Jackson speeds us down an even narrower road.
'There's never a dull moment with you is there Ally." He laughs looking back at me once we had fully left the scene, I just stare at him shaking my head a little with a smile, but I still couldn't stop thinking about Peter.
Peter stumbles to his feet, having to stand there and watch as the car with Ally speeds away and soon vanishes out of sight. Peter's thoughts were going a million miles an hour, there was no doubt in his mind that the person he had just held hands with was Ally. But why did she look so different? Her hair was a different colour even her eyes were brown! But he could just tell by her face and the way she looked at him, she was Ally.
Time was of the essence so he knew he had to act quick, he and William had come here together so they could question some people. Since Ally went missing, they have been getting many reports of a woman, fitting Ally's description coming in her with a man to pick up food. As they didn't have much else to go on, William thought it was worth a shot coming here to get more information from the workers.
But Peter didn't need to hear about this girl, he had just seen her face to face and knows in his gut the sightings are correct. They need to work out why and where she went next. Peter rushes into the restaurant and starts scanning the area, where he finds William having a conversation with one of the ladies at the counter.
He rushes over, takes William by the arm and pulls him out before he had a chance to finish talking with the woman. William questions Peter the whole way out of the restaurant, but once he saw Peters beaten up face, he began to ask some different questions.
'What happened to you?" He asks quite confused, he and Peter had only been apart for a couple of minutes, how could that much damage erupt?
'I saw Ally and the dude she's been seen with!" Peter exclaims walking up and down as he went. 'I had just spoken with one of the car park employees when I was coming back here to talk to you, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and ended up bumping into someone. I apologised and smiled at the lady; it was Ally! At first glance I wouldn't have even noticed, she's changed her appearance drastically. But the longer I looked and the way she looked back at me, it was her man!" Peter continues running his hand through his hair, but there were still many more questions William had for him.
'But that still doesn't explain why you look like you've been in a boxing match." He says pointing towards the obvious injuries littering Peters face, he knew he would definitely need some stickers.
'She wasn't alone, there was this man in a suit which once he realised, I knew who Ally was, attempted to drag her away from me but I wasn't letting go. I told him I knew who she was, and I wasn't letting her go, he didn't take too kindly to that and punched me around the face where I dropped to the floor. That was his chance to take Ally by the arm and drag her away, where I had to watch the car speed off." Peter explains the whole story, William looking quite shocked back at him.
'We'll pull the videos from the restaurant so we can see what they were doing before, but you have to be sure Peter, was it really Ally?" William asks not playing around as he spoke, if it wasn't Ally and just some other shady couple, they didn't need to waste time barking up the wrong tree.
'I'm more than certain it was her William, trust me on this, it was Ally." Peter says knowing who he saw was his missing best friend, William nods his head with a little smile.
'Let's get to work then." He smiles formulating a plan in his mind of what to do.
