Chapter Twenty-One

We walk down the stairs in the pack house, the bomb squad start shouting for us and anyone that was left to get out. Henry just shook with fear as we went, I place my hand on his shoulder as we reach the bottom and head towards the door. "People are gonna hate me when they find out" he says nervously as we reach the door, the whole pack was still waiting behind the barrier. "We won't discus this with anyone, I told you we were going to get you help" Toby says turning to look at Henry, I send Toby a smile before we all walk through the doors leading outside. Once we were out, the whole pack just erupts in screams and cheers. Henry couldn't believe his eyes as he looked around, I looked behind me sending a confused look to Toby. The smile didn't leave his lips as we reach the button step, where Morgan and the Gamma Jordan, were standing. "There he is, the traitor" Jordan snarls over at Henry, who coward away which just gets me all kinds of worked up "you're gonna come with me and I'll teach you a thing or two abou-" he starts to say but I cut him off. "Actually, he is under the custody of the alliance which means I say what happens, he is under house arrest at his home here until further investigation. Now if you were to try and harm him, you would be interfering with official alliance business, Morgan, can you refresh our memory on your what the sentence is for that" I say looking over at him with a smile, he just smirks walking over to stand closer to me. "That holds the minimum term of ten years in prison, the maximum is 100" he smiles holding his hands behind his back, I turn my head back to Jordan smiling as I went. "Now I know that's something you're not gonna want to happen, so I suggest you get back to work and calm all the pack members down" I say looking him dead in the eyes as I spoke, he turns his head looking towards Toby than back at me "if anybody finds out about this, I will make your life a living hell and trust me, I have all the tools at my disposal to do so" I say still not breaking eye contact with him, I got rather protective over Henry if I'm being honest. Jordan, nods his head and bolts away to the pack members behind the barrier. Morgan shakes his head with a smile, while Henry was escorted away by a alliance member to check for any injuries. Morgan went to talk with some of the bomb people, which just left me and Toby alone at the button of the steps. "I know what you're gonna say and I'm ready for the lecture" I say turning my body to look at him, he looks down at me with a hint of a smile. "That was dangerous" he begins the rant I know was coming, I had fully anticipated this when I was on the roof. "That is my job" I simply reply with a sweet smile, he laughs a little shaking his head as he went, that's not the reaction I thought I was gonna get. "You're the perfect person for this pack, I heard the pack members discussing how great of a Luna you are, I couldn't agree more" he smiles walking forward and taking my hand, luckily it was the one facing away from all the agents that were everywhere "the way you handled yourself on that roof, it was clear that you care deeply about this pack and everyone in it" he smiles rubbing his finger over my knuckles as he went, I just smile turning to look at all the pack members who were slowly starting to disperse. "I don't know what happened, I just got this weird feeling that I needed to protect Henry at all costs" I say looking at the ground as I spoke, I've never had a feeling like that before ever. "That's the Luna of you, even with no wolf you still have the instincts a Luna with a wolf would have" he says placing his hand under his chin to lift my head up "I'm so thankful that I get to have you as my mate, you have made me see that kindness and patience is what helps things run smoothly, I love you" he whispers which makes my eyes go wide and I just stare him out, that's the first time he's said that ever! "You..love m-me?" I ask looking up at him so confused on what's happening, I wasn't expecting him to say anything like that, he chuckles slightly pulling me closer to him as he went. "I do, being on that roof today and seeing the incredible person you are, it has never been clearer" he smiles his hands around my waist now, normally I would be scared that other agents would see but I didn't care "you don't have to say it back yet, I just want you to know how I feel" he smiles which does cause a smile to fill my lips, I'm happy he wasn't forcing to say yet it, I mean I love the feeling I get went I'm around him, I just don't know what that feeling is yet. I look around to see if anyone was looking, most of the agents were getting in cars and beginning to leave. Morgan was helping some people carry the boxes to the cars, while Brandon was talking on the phone to someone. I use this as my opportunity to grab Toby by the shirt and pull him in for a kiss, he was super surprised but kissed back immediately. I pull away sending him a wink before fully moving, Brandon had hung up and was making his way over to us, behind him was Morgan. "You two need to head back to the alliance, everything we found in that cupboard is being processed and the bomb will be taken apart there also" Morgan says as Brandon stops beside me, he was smiling so I knew he was feeling better about the whole Luisa situation "the new team member is waiting at the alliance, Julian his name is" Morgan says which does make me look to Brandon, the smile soon dropping from his face, he didn't know about the new member either. "I have to stay here to process the scene a little more, I will take Toby back with me as I know you probably have work to catch up on" Morgan says turning to Toby, who nods his head looking down at me "when you get back, finish going through all the different names of Richards victims to see if there are any clues" Morgan says while looking up at me and Brandon, he could tell we were more focused on the new team member. "I know this is gonna be a huge swift in the team, but with Riley being gone we needed a new team member. Julian was the best one of all the people that applied, he will be such a great addition to this team" Morgan says as I send a look to Toby before beginning to walk over to the car, I said we'd meet him there and fill the new member in. "Our team is fine the way it is, we don't need anyone else" he says as I open the car door, I stop surprised and shocked that Brandon would talk back to Morgan "but let's be honest, you just see me as the trigger happy computer nerd, that's why when Riley was here I was never allowed to go with them!" Brandon exclaims kind of causing a scene as he went, Morgan looked so surprised that his jaw could have hit the literal floor. "Brandon, you are such a vital member of his team, you know we need at least 4 members on each team" Morgan says trying to defend himself, which I didn't think he needed to do. Brandon just shakes his head walking over to the car, I send him a confused look as he walks passed me and gets in the drivers seat. I shrug my shoulders to Morgan before walking around to the passengers door, where Brandon doesn't even speak and speeds off down the road and out the pack. Well that was a random outburst.
