Chapter Nine

Around an hour later, I was fully patched up by Brandon who was still insisting I get checked out in the hospital wing. Being in that place just brings horrible memories from when I was a kid back up, so as like the lunch hall, I avoid that place like the plague. Toby sat beside me the entire time with his hand on my leg, I just know Brandon saw that and is probably aware of what we are. But I know he isn't gonna talk about it unless I do first, which I really appreciated. Morgan still hadn't returned from when he pushed me in the room, we hadn't heard a thing from him which I didn't know was a good thing at the moment. Toby said he thought I could do with some rest but I declined that offer, what I need to focus on is work so we can sort all this mess out. The only issue with my plan was, I didn't get much sleep last night which meant I was hanging. I somehow had to act normal and get on with my work, without letting it slip that I was tired. We were just putting all the different victims of Richards on the wall, when Morgan walks in the room in a suit and tie. He immediately, walks over to me to check if I was okay, which I definitely was. "I'm fine Morgan, I've had worse scapes than that on the job" I laugh a little putting a bit of blue tack on the back of a photo, it was true but I'd never had to fight for my life against a coworker "Where's Riley?" I ask looking over at Morgan for a second, this causes the whole room to freeze and look over. "He's been suspended" Morgan says which definitely wasn't what I wanted to hear right now, I know he was trying to kill me but I know Riley, he wouldn't have normally done that. "You didn't need to suspend him, everyone gets in fights like that sometimes but that doesn't mean he needs to loose his job. He's a vital member of this team, we need him" I say trying to make Morgan see what he was doing, like I said we're talking about Riley here! "People don't get into fights like that Taylor, I've seen all the footage" Morgan says placing his hand on my shoulder with a sad look, he than turns to look over at Toby for a second "maybe you didn't understand what was going on when it was happening, but at first he was trying to come on to you, than when that didn't work he tried killing you" Morgan sighs looking down at me, a huge growl just rips through the room making everything shake for a second. "I'm gonna rip that man apart, I warned him" Toby growls his eyes now the pitch black colour, he walks over to the door and starts to try to force it open, I knew he wasn't gonna get out as those doors are built to hold some strong people. "Can you stop please, you don't have to act like the tough possessive Alpha all the time" I exclaim finally having enough with him, why does he insist on always acting like that?! "It's getting late, why don't we all get some rest after this very eventful day. Taylor would you escort Lukas and Toby to their rooms, than it's an order that you do not come back into this room without having a full nights rest" Morgan points at me with a look, he knew that as it was an order I didn't have any other choice. I nod my head with a smile before placing down the work, I had to walk over to the table near Brandon to grab my key card. As I walk over he sends me a smile which I soon return, but I didn't like that everyone was treating me like an old breakable doll! Yes that was scary but I'm over it now, what Richard is doing to others should be on everyone's minds not me. I start to lead the guys out while I hear Morgan shout goodnight to me. I laugh a little while swiping my key card on the reader, the door was taking a little longer to open as the alliance went on lockdown because of Riley. But in no time the door opens and I move aside to let the guys walk in, Lukas as always bids me a goodnight before walking into his bedroom. But Toby, as always stood outside of his with his arms folded. I went to turn around to walk out and head back to my room, but before I could make it out the door, my hand is taken and I'm pulled back where the door ends up closing. "I was informed that we would talk after, this is after" he says pulling me even closer to him, the magnet pull from before makes an appearance, I wanted nothing more than to be close to him. "What's there really to talk about, Riley attacked me that's it" I say shrugging my shoulders trying to move again, but as he still had my hand he just pulls me right back. "We also need to talk about us, you've been dodging that topic since I arrived" he says but I shake my head, I didn't know what I was gonna do about us yet to be able to talk about it. Before I could answer, a yawn escapes my lips all by itself. I guess me trying to hide how tired I am has gone out the window! "Come and talk in here" Toby says opening his bedroom door, but I just give him a look with a raised eyebrow "even though I want nothing more than to do what you're thinking, you're tired and I don't like the thought of my mate wondering the halls by herself after the events of today" he smiles pushing the door open with his back while pulling me into the bedroom, I think it's because I was tired that I just allow him to pull me into the bedroom. Once we're in, I'm just hit with the amazing smell of him that fills the room. His bag was neatly placed on one of the chest of drawers, while his clothes were folded, why hasn't he put the clothes into the drawers? "My mother used to think the same thing, I keep most of them out so I can just pick my clothes and get changed in minutes. If I have to dig through a draw to find my clothes, that's just a waste of time" he explains somehow knowing what I was thinking, I just nod my head walking passed the chest of drawers to stand near the little window. We stand in silence for a few minutes, I didn't know what he wanted to talk about or what decision he wanted me to make. "What do you want from me?" I ask turning to look at him stood near his bed, I think I knew exactly what he wanted if I'm being honest. "I want you to stop trying to deny what we are and what you feel, we're mates Taylor, but since we've found each other you've just brushed me off and acted as though I do not exist" he exclaims throwing his arms in the air, but at least we were actually talking it over and not just avoiding the whole topic. "That's because I've been taught to do that! I can't have any feelings because of the work I do! I haven't saw my family in 16 years, they don't even know if I'm dead or alive because of what happened! So I'm scared that if I start showing feelings towards you, all the feelings I've had to bury about my family will make an appearance!" I exclaim back at him finally getting all my feelings out, ones I didn't know I was holding in anyway "after the accident I kind of accepted that I might never find my mate, so when I found you it was incredible. But I can't just leave the job I've worked my whole life to achieve and a job I owe my life to" I say having to fight back tears that wanted to escape, it's true I've been kind of happy that I found Toby, but than the alliance pops up. Toby looks over at me taking very slow steps in my direction, I turn my attention to the floor but he takes his hand under my chin and moves my head to look up at him. This is when our eyes meet and I get lost in them again, this happens every time. "There is so much more than this place, I will be able to give you such an rewarding life with you as my Luna" he says still staring deep into my eyes, which meant I was getting lost in every word he was saying "you are allowed to feel the feelings Taylor, whatever those feelings may be, I want you to express whatever feelings you have towards me" he says stroking my cheek with his thumb, my eyes didn't leave his as he went. Without really thinking, I smash my lips onto his which takes him by surprise at first, but after a second he kisses back dominating the kiss. What happened next was definitely not what I was ordered to do.
