Chapter Ten

I wake up in bed with an arm wrapped around me, at first I was confused and kind of worried at where I was and what happened. I look down at the hand and realise it's Toby's, memories of the events from last night start to fill my brain. I feel someone leaning down near my neck, the shivers that ran through my body confirmed it was Toby, I mean who else would it be? "That was definitely one of things I wanted from you" he whispers near my ear, which just makes a smirk form on my lips "I don't know why you refused to let me mark you" he says leaning down and kissing where my mark would be placed, this makes realisation hit and I pull away and jump out of bed. "That should have never happened, this was a huge mistake" I say starting to round up my clothes and frantically put them on. "What happened last night was not a mistake, you are my mate, I can do those things whenever I please" he corrects me while I grab hold of my jeans pulling them on, now wasn't the time for me to be slow at this. "No you don't understand, I will be in so much trouble if someone found out we did that, mates or not that is forbidden here" I explain doing the button and zip up of my jeans, now I had the task of locating my top, which ended up being on one of the chairs. "Than we're gonna be breaking some forbidden rules going forward" he smirks laying in bed just watching me panic, I'm glad he can see the funny side of this, the director definitely won't. "Where's my key card?" I ask myself scanning the room, I can't get anywhere without that thing which would be a huge issue. "Are you looking for this?" Toby asks with a smile holding up my key in the air, where the heck did that go, I walk over to take it but he moves it back "I don't know if I wanna give this to you" he smirks continuing to swipe it away every time I go to take it, why is he like this?! I jump on the bed, crawling over to take the card off him. But he kept moving it back which just resulted in me hovering above him, which I could tell he was enjoying. "Well isn't this giving me déjà vu" he smirks still holding the key card away from me, I just roll my eyes continually trying to grab hold of the card but failing. An idea soon comes to mind causing me to stop and look down at him, he smiles for a second thinking that he's won. I lean down crashes my lips to his taking him by surprise, he starts to get into it where I reach up and snatch the card out his hand and jump out of bed. "That was evil" he remarks from the bed, I just smirk nodding at his shocked expression "I'll get my own back" he says darkly while I take a hold of the door handle. "I'll be waiting, this never happened, I mean you probably say that to all the girls right" I say pointing at him with my card, while attempting to walk out the door but he stops me again. "Taylor, I've never done anything with anyone before, you're the first and only person I will ever do those things with" he tells me which does take me by surprise, I think he knew that with the expression I was pulling "have you?" He asks sitting up in bed as he went, he really wanted to know this answer. "I mean me and Cooper have done a few times"I say which makes a low growl escape his lips "I'm kidding! No you're the first person I've ever done that with" I smile still leaning against the open door, he takes a deep breath in calming down a little. "You need to stop doing that" he points at me but I just giggle, I liked that he was getting all jealous, is that bad? "I better get going before I'm caught here, in the same clothes I was in yesterday" I smile sending him a little wave before fully leaving the room. The smile didn't leave my lips until I arrive back at my room, where thankfully, I never got caught on the way by anyone. I take a look down at my watch to see I only had 30 minutes, I round up my clean clothes before heading to the shower. That had to be the quickest shower I've ever had, but I did manage to leave my room in time to get there. I start my journey out my corridor and towards our building, I didn't have any doubts going around my head about Toby anymore. There was nothing in my mind that was telling me to reject him, I can't even bring myself to think about doing that. I just had to make a decision on my future at this place, no part of me wanted to leave this place either. Now I know you might be asking yourself, why can't you do both? That isn't possible with the alliance, I know some people who have mates and kids that they're only able to see twice a year. That's definitely not a life I wanna live, I wanna be able to see Toby every single day while still working here, which sounds very much impossible. I had just made it to the door of our building, when I hear my name being called. I turn around and come face to face with the director, I immediately stand up straight to attention letting the door close behind me. "Hello Miss Westlake, I was hoping to see you around" she smiles coming to a stop in front of me "you can stand down" she smiles which does make me relax and place my hands behind my back, mostly for respect. "Hello Director" I smile bowing my head slightly to show respect, even though I've been stood down I still have to show respect. "I wanted to see how you are after yesterday, Mr Wilson has been put on suspension while an investigation is launched" she tells me which was something that Morgan kind of told me, even though I don't really agree with the whole suspension thing "now Morgan, did explain to me how you were kind of against the suspension, but Miss Westlake, we all saw the footage and it's very disturbing, we have no other choice but to take this route" she says which does make me nod and understand what she was saying, I haven't saw this footage but from what I remember from being there, Riley wasn't Riley. "I don't know what happened with him, our new case is based around an Alpha and Beta, which we all know he doesn't do too well with. I think it all just got too much for Riley" I say trying to stick up for him, I knew if I could give him a good reference they might go lightly on him, as I was the one he attacked. "This is just a testimony of what an incredible agent you are, Miss Westlake" she smiles which does start to make me a little embarrassed, I hate when people complement me, I never know what to do with myself "now there was also something else I was coming to talk to the team about, the request for the Alpha and Beta to be given clearance has gone through, you can go and collect them" she smiles which does make my eyes go wide, it's lucky she didn't walk in and see Toby and Lukas already sat there. "Well that's amazing ma'am, thank you for speeding the process up" I smile moving slightly to stand in the way of the door, I didn't want that to be an open invitation for her to walk in. "When you're dealing with Richard, you have to be quick to protect people, now I know you're down a man so if it would help, I could assign something from another team to help you collect them" she suggests which on the outside is nice, but that would mean the person would find out that Toby and Lukas are already here. "No thank you ma'am, Brandon is starting to go and do the outside work, he's actually getting really good, but thank you for the offer ma'am" I smile hoping she would just take the Brandon offer and leave, I didn't want to have to gag this agent from another team. "Well isn't that great for Brandon, I will let you get off to collect them, thank you Miss Westlake" she smiles before turning and walking away, I smile back while unlocking the door with my key card, without turning around might I add. Once she was out of sight, I open the door and close it myself, we didn't need her showing up right now. I guess our next task is, breaking these guys out the alliance to get them back in. I don't know if that makes sense.
