Chapter Thirty-Eight

The pack members were so happy that I went to watch them, they would all stop and ask me how I thought they did. I was even able to give them a few tips on how I like to do things, their training and the way we train back at the alliance isn't that different. While there Morgan rang me, he asked how things were going and why it took so long for us to arrive at the pack. I explained about the tree and the new information we learnt, I also told him about what Brandon was doing and he even agreed with me on that. I was now sitting on a wall watching everyone, they would all wave over to me as I cheer when they got something right. It was nice to be sat out here, I haven't been able to just sit outside in the sun and relax. Let's be honest, I never really have time to do this at all. There was still so much that I was undecided upon, now I'm marked I need to be with Toby, not that I was thinking of leaving him anyway. I can't imagine my life without being an alliance agent, but I also can imagine my life being here. Maybe I should just talk to the director, she told me I'm the best agent she's had since she worked there, maybe she can give me a little leeway. Before I could dwell on the thought anymore, Brandon walks over and sits beside me on the wall. "Feel any better?" I ask looking over at him slightly, he just nods his head smiling looking out at everyone. "Thanks Taylor, I didn't know I needed to talk to him as much as I did, I think I'm ready to move passed it" he smiles which does make me side hug him, I knew all he needed was a push in the right direction. As I take a look back out to everyone, someone standing on the side of the field catches my attention. I tap Brandon on the leg where he looks over, he follows my eye line and also sees what I'm seeing. I sigh jumping down off the wall and making my way over, Brandon close behind me very cautiously as we went. "What do you want, why are you here and how did you know I'd be here?" I ask coming to a stop maybe a foot in front of her, Brandon stood behind me but I heard him unclip his weapon from his belt. "I know you didn't mean to arrest me as you got forced to do so, we know you're mated to Alpha Toby so we found what pack was his and came here" Jasmine smiles while I just look her up and down, she really had the audacity to stand there looking all happy "your dad knew you wouldn't actually want arrest me, you were forced by the alliance agents that surrounded you" she smiles while I take a look back at Brandon, he raises his eyebrows giving me she's crazy look. "Your dad wants to prove to you what a good thing his company is, all you see is the bad things that have came from it, but you haven't seen any of the good, he wants you to give us a chance" she pleads with me as an idea pops in my mind, maybe they will be good for something. "Well there is one thing I can think of that might prove it to me" I smile looking over at her, she looks right back up to me with hopeful eyes. "Taylor?" Brandon asks from behind me, I turn slightly sending him a smirk before looking back over at Jasmine. "We're on a time limited here so if you are gonna help me, just say" I say crossing my arms while she just nods her head "we need to get into no territory to search somewhere, now if we wait for the alliance to get their acts together the stuff will be gone, but it's much too dangerous for us to go alone. Your company is supposed to offer protection, I want you to bring all your men and come protect us" I say but I just know what kind of thoughts are going around Brandon's head, he should know what I'm like by now. "How do we know you're not just saying that and when we get out there, you arrest us?" She asks which was a good question, maybe she isn't as dumb as she looks, well much. "Because this is an off the books job, like I said I can't wait for the alliance to sort stuff out because the evidence I need will be gone. We don't talk about what happened and it never happened, which would mean I wouldn't have to arrest you" I smile which she smiles right back at me, she nods her head saying she'll have to ring my dad quickly and darts off. "Taylor, what are you doing?" Brandon asks when it's just us, I knew he'd have a bunch of questions to follow that of course, I had to answer. "We need to do this Brandon, I know we can't go in alone without getting attacked but if we have them we can" I say but he still shakes his head, I wish he could just back me up for once "you know as soon as Richard finds out that we know about this secret building, he'll go there and destroy all the evidence, evidence that we need!" I exclaim trying to make him see how important this was gonna be, this is literally the last chance we have to get in there! "But what do we tell Morgan and can we trust them?" He asks slowly coming around to the idea, which was the only option we had right now. "I didn't tell Morgan where this building was located and no we can't trust them, but we're gonna have to try" I reply just being honest with him, he looks down shaking his head slightly "Brandon, the alliance has been chasing Richard for longer than we've been alive, he's gotten away with some awful things that we could stop, what if the thing that's gonna catch him is in that building?" I ask where he looks up at me, he studies my face for awhile but nods. "I've got your back" is all he says, but that's all he needed to say. ~~ Jasmine walks behind the bush pulling her phone out, she didn't know what kind of reception she was going to get when she tells the family the plan. Dominic kept saying that he told Travis so, but Travis would say that his daughter was forced to so as she's an alliance agent. The phone rings a few times before Travis picks up, but she knew it was on speaker so the whole family could hear. "I have to be quick, I've just spoken with Taylor again and told her we don't blame her for arresting me. She didn't take too kindly to that but when I told her that her dad wants to prove to her that we're good, her face lit up and she wants our help" Jasmine says before anyone had time to say hello, she knew if she waited too long Taylor would just walk off. "Anything" Travis immediately replies, but she heard a few hesitant voices in the background, probably from Dominic. "She said she has this place she needs to go to, but it's in no territory. If she waits for the alliance to get all the paperwork done, the evidence she needs will be lost. But it's too dangerous for her and her partner to go in alone, so she asked if we'd go with her and offer protection. Before you say this could be a trap, she said it's off the books, the alliance isn't gonna know which means she can't arrest us if it never happened" she smiles knowing that would shut him up, she was confused on why he had something against Taylor "guys trust me, she means it" she says looking back at Taylor, who was talking to the guy that's always with her. "Of course, no one is gonna touch my little girl" Travis says before telling all the guys to suit up "tell her we'll meet her there" he says before hanging up.
