Chapter Twenty-Eight

I remain as quiet as I can, I couldn't let whoever this dude was find me here! He pulls something out of the draw before leaving the room once again, I looked in all the draws and they were completely empty, apart from a document about the rent, why would he need that? "They're about to start a speech at the front, where are you?" Toby asks snapping me out of my questioning thoughts, I did need to hear whatever speech they were gonna give. I crawl back from under the desk and stand up straight, I fix my dress and hair before walking towards the door of the office. I slowly open the door to make sure the dude wasn't still out there, I stick my head out first looking both ways to see both hallways clear. I quickly leave the office and make my way down the hall and towards the stairs but before I could make it, someone takes ahold of my arm and stops me. "What are you doing up here?" A man asks me, he held my arm in such a tight grip that it was starting to go red. "I got lost while looking for the bathroom" I say pulling my arm out of the dudes grasp, I was definitely stronger than he thought I was. I go to walk away so I could leave, but this time my exit is blocked by two huge dudes. I'm definitely not gonna be able to walk through these two. "I think you're coming with us" the dude says from behind me, before I knew it the two huge dudes grab both of my arms and begin to drag me away. They drag me down the stairs and out the door I came through to get to the balcony, there was a stage in front of all the people, with Denton stood there talking. Just the guy I was after! I'm dragged along the sidelines until I reach the edge of the stage. "You're gonna be seeing me very soon, don't intervene it's all part of my plan" I mind-link Toby, I knew what he was gonna do if he saw me and I didn't warn him. I scan the crowd until my eyes fall on Toby, who was frantically looking around the crowd for me. We soon lock eyes where he discovers what I told him not to intervene with, he looks beyond pissed and was very close to walking over. "Don't, I have a plan to get Denton, just trust me please" I quickly mind-link him, I didn't need him ruining this! Before he could respond, the dudes pull me up onto the stage where I come face to face with Denton, well the first time in the flesh. He looks me up and down before turning back to the crowd, where my rather angry mate stood. "And here is an example, my team tracked down an intruder and have got her in our custody, so you can rest assured that we will give your pack the same care" Denton says to the crowd while still walking around, I move my arms slightly so my elbow was near my waist "and after we have them in our custody, we can find out who they are and who sent them" Denton says before turning to stand directly in front of me, he was trying to be intimidating but I wasn't scared at all. "Who do you work for?" He asks getting close to my face but I just smile, that was a question that could have many answers, maybe he isn't as good at this than thinks. "Oh, I could work for anyone, how are you gonna make me talk?" I ask with a smirk as one of his men hold me tighter, I just need him to hold me a tiny bit more and I'll be set. "Oh, I have many ways that you probably won't like, I do have a few theories though, I reckon you're a rouge that's willing to take all of these nice people with them" he says looking back out at the crowd than at me again, he's really trying to sell what he's doing to these people. "That was a really good guess but I'm afraid you're wrong, I'm actually....an alliance agent" I smile before I bring my leg up kicking him in the junk, which makes him immediately drop to the floor. The two dudes get closer to me, doing exactly what I needed them too. I grab hold of the first guys hand, bending it back until I hear a snap. While he was in pain, I grab the other dude by the shoulder and bend down to flip him overtop of me. The first dude who was still in pain, tries to grab hold of me with his other arm but I take him by the neck and smash his face off the side that knocks him unconscious, which meant all three men were now on the floor. "Now if we're treating this like a lesson, lesson one, don't leave you weapon exposed where I could just do this" I say as the dude appears behind me, I take hold of the gun that's on his waistband shooting him in the shoulder. He drops to the floor in pain, while at the same time Denton had got to his feet. I point the gun at him my smile not living my lips, oh I wasn't finished with my lesson. "Lesson two, when capturing someone make sure not to hold too tight, you might accidentally press a panic button" I smile before the sounds of glass smashing fills the air and the doors are kicked open. "Alliance agents, get on the ground now!" Morgan's voice shouts while I just smile over at Denton, who looked beyond shocked but rather annoyed as he went "I said get on the ground now Denton!" Morgan shouts again once he reaches the stage, Denton holds his hands in the air, dropping to his knees were Morgan kicks him in the back making him fall flat on the floor. "That's the end of the lesson, class dismissed" I smile throwing the gun to one of the alliance agents, everyone just looks at each other ultimately confused for a few seconds, before the ballroom erupts in cheering. Realisation soon hits about the mark on my neck, I take all the pins out of my hair so it fell over my shoulders, the mark completely hidden that way. "You guys think this is all over, but I'm just the little guy in all this and there is no way you'll be finding the big boss!" Denton screams from the floor, Morgan was still on top of him not letting him move even a inch. I walk over knelling down in front of him, he looks up at me still so annoyed about the whole capture thing. "It's just like you said, oh I have my ways" I smirk looking him dead in the eyes as I spoke, Morgan laughs while putting the cuffs over Dentons hands. I leave the stage and head towards Toby, who was pushing passed people to get over to me. I had reached the button step and he was already there, looking relieved but still worried. "See, I told you I had a plan" I smile with my arms open, he just takes my hands pulling me into him for a hug. I always have a plan.
