Chapter Thirty-Seven

I hated being in hospitals, it just brings back horrible memories of when I woke up after Richard attacked me. I didn't remember a thing about who I was, or what even happened. I would hear the doctors and staff at the alliance discus what I was gonna happen to me, no one knew for sure where they should put me. Thankfully, Morgan came to the rescue for the second time, he said that he would look after me until I remembered more. That never happened so I stayed with him until I was old enough to train, as you already know. Brandon and I follow the nice nurse through the halls, she was walking rather quickly passed all the hurt people. All of them would send me a wave as I went by, I send one back before hurriedly still following the nurse. After a few more turns we arrive at a door, Brandon stood insanely out of breath as he stood beside me. She knocks on the door opening it slightly, while I just look around the hospital something feeling a little off. "Peter, you have some visitors" she smiles opening the door fully so we could walk in, his face immediately lights up when he spots us. I thank the nurse before she closes the door, Brandon rubs his arm a little nervous looking at the ground. I send him reassuring smile before walking over to Peter, who was slowly sitting himself up. "I'm so glad to see you, there's so much I need to tell you" he says as I take a seat that was beside his bed, Brandon stands at the end pulling a notebook out. "Lukas told us you kept asking, we would have been here sooner but a lot happened" I smile actually so glad to see him, before now all I could picture when I thought of him was him laying on that floor. "I heard about what happened, actually the whole pack did and were so worried" he tells me which did surprise me, how did they hear about it and why would they be worried? "you might not realise it, but everyone is so happy that the Alpha found you, he's only been back here a few times since he left and he's shifted in such a great way. You've changed him for the better" he continues which makes me look to the side a little, what did Toby used to be like before he found me? "Anyway, I need to tell you some things before I explode, Luisa knew what I was going to say and that's why she tried to silence me" he says leaning over to open a draw, he pulls some papers out before looking at me "I always knew that Luisa didn't fully love me and I was only there for her convenience, I would have left but I was the only thing Lukas had as a dad, I couldn't I wouldn't leave him. But she would claim that she went into business with this guy, she never went into details and always told me I was paranoid when I would ask any type of questions" he explains opening a little folder, I can't even imagine what type of things he would have to go through, but you could just tell how he felt about Lukas, that's why Lukas will always stand by this man. "She would have me every week drive her to this place, it was really off the grid and you'd only find it if you were looking for it. It was this building deep in the no territory, just her going there in the first place made me worried but again, I was being paranoid" he says with a roll of his eyes, with all the information we've learnt lately, it's quite clear that he wasn't being paranoid "I've have time to reflect after learning everything I have, I think that would be the place where she'd see Richard and they'd do whatever it was they did there" he sighs handing me over the papers, it was a map of the no territory zone and instructions on how to get there. Just from looking at the map, it appeared to be some kind of bunker. What could Richard be hiding there? No territory is a place where well, no pack as any territory over so rogues like to stay there so packs will have to stay away. We have to go there but we'll need to be so careful, Morgan will probably put in for the alliance to get a warrant to search the land, just to be on the safe side. "I do have a question" Brandon says from across the room, he's been silent this whole time just writing in the notebook "back when we first came to see you, you said how Richard came to see you and demanded he saw Lukas, you never got to finish that story" Brandon says which does remind me about that, I didn't totally forget about that whole conversation. "That's correct, he came a few years ago and demanded he saw his son, Lukas didn't know I wasn't his bio father and I definitely wasn't having him find out in that way" he starts to explain with a sigh, that was all he could tell us back with Luisa "he really didn't take too kindly to that and tried attacking me, I wasn't the head of defence for the pack for nothing. Somewhere in all the chaos, Lukas came home and got between me and Richard. He got into Richards face and told him to back off his dad or Richard wouldn't like the consequences" he says which was totally new information for us, Lukas never said he had any recent contact with Richard before. "Richard kept calling Lukas son, until Lukas blatantly told him he isn't his son and he needs to back off" he which might explain for why Richard turned on Lukas, he didn't like his bio son telling him he wasn't his son "Richard got into Lukas's face and told him he'd live to regret saying that, he shifted and jumped through the window. That night I sat down with Lukas and explained how I wasn't his bio dad, he didn't take it well but told me I'd always be his dad to him" he smiles looking down slightly, we've just found the answer to why Richard turned on his own son, it took us long enough! "But you left out the part of his dad being Richard" Brandon says from across the room, Peter just nods looking down slightly, I guess that would be a hard conversation to have "I think we have everything we need, we have to get going" he says ending the conversation abruptly, he packs his things away and was out the door in a second. "I'm sorry about him, he's finding it hard to deal with what happened to Luisa, thank you so much for your information" I smile getting up from my chair and walking towards the door, I hope Branson hasn't fully walked off. "Taylor, just find and stop him for me please?" Peter says as I open the door, I turn around to see him sat up in bed with a sad look. "I promise, that man isn't gonna carry on for very much longer" I smile doing something we're told not to say, I said I promise. He smiles thanking me before I walk out closing the door behind me, the corridor was still busy but I did spot Brandon waiting down the hall for me. He had his head down just staring at the floor, I think seeing Peter has just brought back what happened to Luisa. I make my way over to him, he didn't even see me walk over and jumped when I appeared beside him. "Great, let's go you need to watch them train" he says trying to walk off but I take him by the arm, he looks surprised at me while I pull him back. "While I go watch the pack members, I think you need to have a conversation with Peter about Luisa" I say but he shakes his head going to walk off again, but I pull him back by the arm once again "you need to deal with what happened, just running away from the issue and hiding all those feelings isn't healthy. Talking with Peter, will help both of you put what happened in the past" I smile moving aside so he could see Peter's hospital door, he takes a look at me than back at the door. "He might not want to talk to me" he mutters his eyes not leaving the door, this just tells me how badly he wants to go and talk to him but is worried. "You won't know until you try, go on" I smile pushing at his arm slightly, he looks back at me with a nod before making his way over. He stops at the door turning to look at me again, I send him a reassuring smile with a little nod. He takes a deep breath in before knocking and opening the door, once he enters I make my way down the corridor and outside, to watch my pack members train. When isn't that gonna feel weird to say?
