Chapter Fifty-Six

I was soon walking back into the main room with the information that I knew, a lot had changed for me while I was in that room but nothing had in here. Toby and Julian were still having a screaming match in the middle of the room. Brandon was sat at his laptop but sends me a look when I walk in, while Lukas was sat with a blank face watching the two guys in front of him. My eyes go to Toby where I could just tell by his face, if he could he would have shifted by now. I sigh making my way over to the middle of the room, moving passed Morgan to stand in front of Toby blocking his view of Julian. "I think we all need to calm down, how is any of this helping to catch Richard?" I ask placing my back against Toby while walking backwards, slowly he was walking back with me "while you two were comparing penis sizes, I was doing work with the help of Brandon" I say having to really push hard on Toby, after the penis comment he didn't want to move. "You don't need to compare, you already know who's is bigger" he whispers in my ear as Morgan pushes Julian away, I just smirk knowing what Toby was trying to do. "That would mean that I've seen Julian's peni-" I begin to say but a slow growl soon escapes Toby's mouth, I just laugh shaking my head pulling him to stand around the table and away from Julian. "Me and Brandon have figured out where Richard wants us to meet him, at an old warehouse where Denton used to work. That is where Thomas got killed so that is where Richard feels started it all" I smile happy with myself that I finally figured it out, I did what those investigators couldn't when they first investigated "now all that's left is for us to decide whether we go or not?" I say my eyes now moving to Lukas, who was sat beside me but also turns to lock eyes with me. "It's entirely up to you two, you guys are the ones that are going, so the choice has to be yours" Morgan says sitting on his desk looking over at us, my eyes didn't leave Lukas whose eyes definitely weren't leaving mine. "I'm down if you are" I say with a smile, he looks deep in thought for a second but eventually nods. "Let's get this bastard" he determinedly says standing up from his chair, yes let's finally get him! Around an hour had passed since Lukas and I decided we were gonna go along with the plan, Toby still wasn't too thrilled with the idea but wasn't openly trying to stop me from it going ahead. I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be going into it, I guess as I've been tracking this man down for years that I'm not even sure if we're gonna be able to get him. There's been times we've been so close to catching him, but then it turns out he's always two steps ahead of us and got away. We all would get our hopes up just to send them crashing back down, maybe I'm using this as a defensive mechanism. I was leaving my gun and everything here, not that Morgan and definitely Toby were very happy about that. We don't want Richard getting spooked if he sees me with my weapon, I know how to handle myself and I have Lukas with me who's a Beta. The only thing I was taking was my secret radio, it was so tiny hidden on my sleeve that no one will see it. I'll only use it when we have Richard so I can tell them the news, or if something goes wrong but I'm hoping it really doesn't come to that. I secure it safely to my sleeve before scanning the room, Lukas and Toby were having a conversation to the side while Morgan was on the phone, from what he's saying I think it's to do with the director. I make my way over to the two guys who immediately, look over at me as I went. Toby stood with his arms crossed not looking too pleased still, he needs to understand I've been doing these types of jobs long before I met him. "That might have been the case but I have found you now, it's my job as your mate to protect you but you still insist on doing these jobs that put you in harms way" he says reading my thoughts, I wish he would stop doing that. "I'm doing the job that I love, going out and saving people by catching the bad guys is what I love most!" I smile as Brandon and Julian make their way over, holding computers in their arms "and anyway Lukas is with me, I'll have the big strong Beta there to protect me, I can trust that you're gonna have my back right?" I ask looking over at Lukas with a smile, he nods his head sternly. "You're not only my Luna, you're also my friend, I'll protect you over myself" he says making my eyes go wide, I didn't know he considered me a friend "I joke around a lot because that's how I cope with things, but when it comes down to it I'll take him down" he tells me with another hard look, I just smile looking back to Toby who I could tell felt better. "Let's be honest, this warehouse place is less than a mile away from your pack. I could probably scream help and they'd hear" I say which was true and actually gave me some confront, I knew they'd help me no matter what. "If the pack even heard you scream, they'd be there in less than a second" Lukas tells me point blank, I smile looking down for a second. "I trust you man, just bring her home safe" he says patting Lukas on the back "and you, don't take any risk that you don't need to, I need you to remain intact" he smiles placing his hands on both of my shoulders, I reply with a roll of my eyes. "You know I can't promise that" I smile toying with him a little, but his look makes me laugh and give in "all we need to do is grab Richard, once we have him we'll be heading right back" I smile placing a kiss on his lips before turning to look at everyone else, Morgan was now standing with the two guys setting up the computers. "I looked into the warehouse and found out that all the cameras still worked apart from the ones on the roof, we'll be seeing your every move and know if we need to step in" Brandon explains wiring up the computers into different outlets, I'm gonna pretend I know why he's doing that. "Even with this I still need you to be careful, we all know how unpredictable that man is" Morgan warns me, I nod my head looking down at my watch with a sigh, it's time to leave. I look towards Lukas who nods his head walking towards the door, me close behind him before we both stop at the door. "It's like we're heading to battle" Lukas jokes turning back into his jokey self with a little bit "let's do this sis!" He shouts which does successfully make me jump but laugh at the same time, did he just call me his sister?! "Let's go and arrested our non-existent father!" He shouts before we both walk out the main room, it felt like we were going to battle. Let's get this bastard!
