Chapter Twelve

We drive for around 45 minutes until Brandon, was complaining that he needed the bathroom. I pull up at the side of the road while he does his business, he went off into a bush so none of us could see him. This left me and the guys waiting in the car, I was sat in the front resting my head on my hand when Toby jumps through to the front. While Lukas gets out to stretch his legs, if Toby wanted to be alone in the car he should have just asked. "We still have a few more hours to kill, we have to act like we're writing that report that we wrote when we first visited you and than take you back to the alliance" I sigh looking out the window at the fields that go on for miles, I wasn't lying when I told you the alliance is in the middle of nowhere. You can't find this place on a map or anything, it's as though none of this exists. If someone is found trying to locate this place, well let's just say they'll never be located again. We deal with some really bad people which means we have to have a place to keep those bad people, we can't let friends of the bad people know where they're being kept. That's only happened once and afterwards, the security measures went up. "I can think of a few things we can do to pass the time" Toby smiles pulling me closer and planting a kiss on my neck, I laugh pulling away a little. "Now you have clearance, that's gonna stop" I say with a little smile, he moves back a little annoyance clearly on his face "now you're actually in the alliance, you can go to where the visitors sleep. That's in a separate building from ours and you're in a room with a bunch of other people, so unless you want a bunch of random men to see me naked" I say which he immediately tenses to and growls, I just laugh shaking my head looking to the side again. "That just means we're gonna have to get creative" he smirks as Brandon emerges out the bush, what did take him that long? He was severely out of breath pointing into the bush, I get out of the car running over to him telling Toby to wait there. He didn't look like normal Brandon who got scared because of like a bird, he looked majorly scared. "Richard" he pants out pointing back to the bush, I take a look at Lukas who was still quite far from the car. "Go get Lukas and put him in the car" I tell him whilst pulling my gun out, it's great that I remembered to pick this thing up. I take a look back at Toby who was sat in the car confused, he didn't hear Brandon which I was actually happy about. I take a deep breath in before I walk through the bush, careful not to step in any of Brandon's pee. I scan my surroundings not seeing anything but tree's, maybe Brandon thought he saw something but he was mistaken. But to give him credit, seeing someone and knowing who they are is hard to just imagine. This can't be a coincidence that he'll be here when Lukas is, who might I add still doesn't know about him being his father. I jump down a little hill and that's when I see him, he stood behind a tree looking out at where the car is parked. I duck down a little making sure I was as quiet as I could be, I start to inspect to see if he had any weapons. Which surprisingly, it didn't seem like he did. I move so I was stood just across from him but he still couldn't see me, okay time to be smart about this. "Freeze" I say running from my hiding place, pointing my gun right at Richard, this was a very surreal moment. "Little Taylor, haven't you grown since I last saw you" Richard chuckles not fazed that I was pointing a gun at him, we all know how crazy he is so it really doesn't surprise me. "Show me your hands" I say not giving in to the mind games I know he was trying to play, I've grown up and have been very well trained too. "Where's Riley, I thought you and him were like the non-criminal version of Bonnie and Clyde?" he smirks still not showing me where his hands were, I had the option to shoot but I would be shooting be to kill and we need him alive "was he the one that messed up your face, I thought I was the only one that was gonna do that" he sighs while I start to take slow and cautious steps towards him, I didn't need to rush into any of this. "Show me your hands" I say repeating what I told him before, it was taking everything in me not to say what I'm trained to do. "And here I was just trying it make conversation, that Alpha guy your mate?" He asks looking me dead in the eye as he spoke, while I just continue to move closer to him "so I didn't take everything from you that day, once again I didn't see that coming" he sniggers but turns to look behind me, he sends me a wink before something is wrapped around my neck. I'm pulled away slightly while someone was trying to kill me, this is also what I'm trained to do. I bring my legs up and kick the guy in the junk, he falls a tiny bit which loosens the thing from around my neck. I grab one of his hands and bend it until I hear and snap, he cries out in pain while I punch him around the face. This take him off guard, which gives me the opportunity to grab him by his face and smash it against a tree. Once he was on the floor, I pick my gun up pinning the guy to the floor with my knee. I scan my surroundings once again but Richard was no where to be seen, he used this guy as a distraction! I grab hold of the scumbag by the collar and pull him to stand up, his face was bloody and smashed in because of that tree. "You're not gonna like what's about to happen to you" I smirk before dragging him up the little hill and towards the car, once we emerge from the bush all the guys were out the car. Toby was shouting at Brandon who looked way to scared to speak, but once I walk over they go silent just staring at me and the guy. "Richard got away, he sent this one to try and kill me" I say looking up at the dude "he learnt the hard way how much of a trained agent I am" I smile as Brandon walks over with the cuffs for the prisoners, the ones the guys had to wear before. I leave Brandon to do the cuffing while I start to scan the area, let's hope Richard doesn't jump out of the shadows. Before I could walk away, Toby takes me by the arm and pulls me back. His eyes immediately fall on my neck, he reaches his hand over to touch it but I wince away in pain. "This is what I mean when I say you should come and live with me, nothing like this would happen to you there" he says placing his hand on the side of my face, I could tell by his eyes he wanted to kill the dude behind us. "And I told you, I love my job" I smile as Brandon says he's done, I send Toby a smile before walking over to the guy and help Brandon to put him in the car. "How are you going to explain this, this place is gonna have to get analysed because he attacked one of the agents?" Brandon's asks as I close the car door, I had already come up with that excuse. "We could say that I let you drive home as I was finishing the last of the file, but you took a wrong turn and we had to go the long way" I shrug but Brandon doesn't seem to like that idea "I've been out of the alliance thousands of times, they aren't going to believe it if we say I took a wrong turn, we have no other choice Brandon" I say as I hear Lukas start to ask a bunch of questions about Richard, time to go. We all load back into the car but this time with the dude in the middle of the guys, I turn to look at Toby raising an eyebrow. "Just don't kill him" I smile which causes him to smirk and look over at the guy, who was about to get hurt.
