Chapter Nineteen

As I leave the house I see all the alliance chaos, there were about thirty cars and vans in front of the house. Tape going around it so none of the pack members could enter, who just stood the opposite side of the tape to see what was happening. Brandon walks straight over to the car, normally he takes his time but not right now. I stop for a second looking around, Luisa was insistent that no one find out about this meeting, now it's all anyone is gonna be talking about. Why didn't she just play ball and cooperate? Toby comes up behind me causing me to jump a little, I place my hand on my heart to calm myself down, I didn't know I was so on edge. "Are you sure you're okay?" He asks placing his hand on my shoulder once again, I look up at him sending him a little nod as I went "this wasn't really the welcome package I wanted you to have, but this is the pack" he smiles pulling me closer to him, I shake my head with a little laugh looking around. A little girl catches my attention, for some reason she stood out to me over anyone else standing there. She looked maybe seven or eight years old, she held a piece of paper in her hands looking over at me. Just by the look on her face I knew she wanted to talk to me, the fright in her eyes making me want to just run over. "Toby, what's that little girls name?" I ask pointing over at her slightly, I didn't want her to get scared and runaway if she saw me pointing. "That's Ashley Dickinson, she lives a few houses down from here" he explains looking over at the little girl, it was nice that he knew all the little details about his pack members. I take a look at him before slowly making my way over to the little girl, once again I didn't want to rush over and give the poor girl a heart attack. She grew more nervous as I continue on my journey, I soon make it over sending her a little smile. "Hello sweetheart, are you okay?" I ask knelling down in front of her so we were the same height, she looks down at the piece of paper in her hands then back at me "what's that?" I ask pointing at the paper, Toby's presence appears behind me which soon makes her look up at him. "It's my brothers" she says still looking behind me at Toby, but her eyes soon dart to me "he's been acting funny for ages now, so when he went out I went in his bedroom and found this, please don't tell him I was in there" she says holding up the paper but I still couldn't see what it was, whatever was on the paper was facing her. "You're just worried about your brother, I'm sure he wouldn't mind" I smile trying to make her feel better but she shakes her head, a hint of fear in her expression. "No, he's different now, my mummy and daddy keep saying it when they think I'm not listening, no one knows what's wrong with him" she tells us which does make me take a look to Toby, maybe her brother could be one of the spies we're looking for "if I show you this, can you promise my brother won't get in trouble" she says looking me in the eyes, I didn't know if I could promise her that, but we needed to see what was on that paper. "Whatever your brother has done, we will help him" I smile which does make her look up at me and smile, she hands me over the paper she'd been concealing this entire conversation. I gently take the paper turning it around so I could see, at first I didn't know what I was looking at. It was a drawing of the blueprints of some building, it even had what furniture was located in which room. So whoever drew this must have been in this building on multiple occasions. It's when I started to take a closer look, it soon comes to me what I was looking at. "Thank you for giving me this, now you go run home safely and we'll take care of your brother" I say putting a fake smile as I went, I didn't want her to see the worry and fear I was holding back right now. She wraps her arms around my neck thanking me, I tell her it was fine and to make sure she goes straight home. She waves goodbye to me before running off in the direction of home, I stand up straight watching her round the corner before turning to a confused Toby and Morgan, who came out of nowhere. "You need to get everyone out of the pack house now" I say looking at Toby as I spoke, both men just look at each other than back at me confused "there's a bomb in the pack house!" I exclaim turning around the piece of paper with the blueprint on, this is what causes both men to spring into action. "Agents, we need to evacuate all the pack members from the pack house and call the bomb squad!" Morgan yells at all the agents, who immediately spring into action. "Don't tell the pack members there's a bomb, that will cause major panic, just tell them they need to leave as a practice run or something" I say to Toby who I could see was mind-linking people, before he could respond I was already bolting towards the pack house. I might be a human now, but boy can I still run when I need to. I pass agents also heading towards the same building, I was actually the first one to arrive there. People were filling out of the building kind of confused, their confusion only grew when they saw us alliance members running over. "I need all of you to head over there please!" I shout pointing them in the direction of a barrier being set up, if the bomb was to go off they'd be safer over there "keep moving!" I say standing on the steps near the door directing everyone out, while the other agents start to try and answer questions about what's happening. "What's happening, the Gamma said there's been a threat?" A worried woman's asks me stepping aside, others start to also stop to hear what my response would be. "That's correct, but there is no evidence that there really is going to be an attack but we have to think of the packs safety, as soon as we know more I'll be sure to let you all know" I smile looking at each of the people, they seem to relax a little smiling "if you head over there, the agents might be able to give you a little more information" I smile just needing them to get out of the building, I didn't need this blowing with them in the firing line. "Thank you Luna" the girl smiles before hurrying down the stairs, I stand there dumbfounded for a second on hearing what she called me, I shake the feeling off knowing now was not the time to think about that. "The bomb squad is en route" Morgan says placing his phone in his pocket, Toby behind him while answering questions "this is probably what Richard meant when he said we'll be seeing a lot more from him" Morgan says as I walk down the steps of the pack house, only a few people were left to leave who start to join the rest. "We need to find Ashley's brother, he's the one that set it up so he's probably the one who can detonate it" I say scanning the crowd of people in front of me, problem was I didn't know what this dude looked like. "Why is Henry on the roof?" One pack member asks pointing to the roof of the pack house, I turn my head to see the dude stood at the edge looking terrified. I think we've found him.
